Hide sequence from being called by external test sequences

In TestStand, is there any way to hide a sequence so that it can't be called by a test sequence in another sequence file?
Thanks,
Melissa

Hi,
No.
You could do something similar thats done in the process model sequence file, SequentialModel.seq. That is to check if its been run from valid sequence or sequence file. The SequentialModel.seq entry points, Test UUTs and Single Pass, do a check to see if they have been run from a client file. They terminate the execution if it hasn't

  • In Pre-Exit, prevent method from being called

    I have created an enhancment for a webdynpro component. Then, I have defined a pre-exit for a method in the component controller. Inside the pre-exit, I do a couple of checks, and depending on them, I would like to skip the processing of the method for which I have define the pre-exit. Is this possible?
    I thought of the RETURN statement, but this won't help. RETURN will jump out of the pre-exit, but not out of the method.
    my-pre-exit-of-method-SET_MY_VALUE.
      IF some_condition = some_value.
        "prevent the method SET_MY_VALUE from being called. but how??
      ENDIF.
    end-of-pre-exit.

    I just find out how to circumvent this...
    The trick is to use "Overwrite exit".  Add your own codes.  Depending on your conditions, you can call back the original method.  But when you call the original method, you need to use the syntax:
    me->original_method(...)
    Do not use:
    wd_this->original_method(...)
    Using "me" will only call the original method; using "wd_this" will trigger your overwrite exit which means this will jump to a recursive call to your own exit; This will certainly drain the resources of your system indefinitely until it dumps.

  • Inheritance: Keeping a supers method from being called

    Lets say I have the following situation:
    public class SuperClass
        public void methodOne(){/* Do Stuff */}
        public void methodTwo(){/* Do Stuff */}
    public class FooBar extends SuperClass
        public void methodThree(){/* Do Stuff */}
    }My question is, is there any tidy way of making it so that the programmer can't do something like the following:
    FooBar fooBar = new FooBar();
    fooBar.methodOne();In other words, I want to basically disable the programmer from being able to call FooBars methodOne() that was derived from its super class.
    Thank you for your time,
    Brandon Murphy

    Make it private.
    If it needs to be public then I have to wonder if the child class is a true child class as you desire that it shouldn't have all of the public behaviors of the parent. Perhaps you will need to extend by composition rather than by inheritance.

  • How to preent the Super.doDML of EOImpl Class from being called?

    Hi,
    I am working on an ADF BC application, I ahve created an insert fomr that has two different View Objects based on two different entity objects.
    These two View Objects are in master detail format,
    What I want to do is call the super.doDML for the master and there only I do the insert in the detail VO also?
    But, the problem is everytime I try to access do so the entries in the master are done successfully but for the detail VO both the custom code as well as the super.doDML are getting called?
    Is there a way I can prevent the default super.doDML in the EOImpl class from getting called in case of insert operation?
    If somebody has any idea please help!!
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raksha

    Just overwrite the doDML method for the EO you want and use a condition to figure out if the DML is an insert command.
    Something like this:
    37.2.2 Forcing an Update DML Operation Instead of a Delete
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/bcadveo.htm#sthref2899
    Also, if what you are trying to do is control the order of posting the inserts see this:
    37.8 Controlling Entity Posting Order to Avoid Constraint Violations
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/bcadveo.htm#CEGJAFCF

  • How can I prevent Applications from being copied to external drive?

    Hello,
    Just a quick one...
    I run a studio in an education evironment. We've got quite a lot of software installed on our machines (Mac OS X 10.7.4) and there's always the chance that students will copy applications from the Applications folder onto an external drive to take home!
    Obviously this is becoming increasingly easy with large USB sticks and Applications which are entirely contained in the Applications folder.
    Is there any way that students can still run these applications during class but prevent them from copying the whole applications?
    With thanks in advance,
    Lawrence

    You can hide the Applications folder, but it isn't a total solution. Open Terminal and type:
    cd /
    sudo chflags hidden /Applications

  • How to stop the std SUS method from being called

    Hi
    I am working on SRM - EDI integration for NON SUS vendor.I am using a custom mapping and custom method call in this case.i have placed the logic in the std. mapping BADI - BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI.i am triggering my custom method call in this method only.but i am unable to stop the control flow here after as i need not to trigger the Std. process.
    Regards,
    Durgaprasad Kare.

    Hi Durga,
    The BADI BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI is meant for mapping purposes in the outbound proxy object and cannot be used to control the message flow.
    What I would suggest you to code the custom logic in the BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI where is you can check the vendor and determine the custom message needs to be trigerred. Besides you have a check at XI level to block those mesages that are not needed.

  • Calling an external C function from a C file in JNI

    Hello,
    I am trying to call an external C function, from a C file which is being called by a Java file. I am getting an unresolved symbol error. I have tried many things like, making the external C function in the format of JNI, etc, etc. It is still not working. I think it has something to do with linking the two C files. If anyone can please answer this, it would greatly help me. here is the code:
    HelloWorld.c:
    #include <jni.h>
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include "MyOldHello.h"
    #include "HelloWorld.h"
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL
    Java_HelloWorld_print(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj)
         helloPrint();
         return;
    HelloWorld.java:
    class HelloWorld
         private native void print();
         public static void main(String[] args)
              new HelloWorld().print();
         static
              System.loadLibrary("HelloWorld");
              System.loadLibrary("MyOldHello");
    MyOldHello.c:
    #include <jni.h>
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include "MyOldHello.h"
    void helloPrint()
         printf("\nHello World!\n");
    MyOldHello.h:
    void helloPrint();
    Now i use the Visual C++ command prompt to compile this by saying:
    javac HelloWorld.java
    javah -jni HelloWorld
    cl -Ic:\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\include -Ic:\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\include\win32 -MD -LD HelloWorld.c -FeHelloWorld.dll
    and now it gives me the error saying that there is an unresolved external symbol, which is the call to helloPrint in the file HelloWorld.
    If anyone knows how to solve this, or how to call external C functions from a C file that is being called from a Java file using JNI, please respond.
    Thanks
    Nick

    Hi,
    In your post on velocity review, you did not compile MyOldHello.c. You compiled a C file that included the header file for it and called a method defined in the header. The linker is never going to be able to find the code for this if you do not include the object file for this.
    Try this. You will also have to add in any JNI libraries you need to link against but I am sure you could work that out.
    cl /c MyOldHello.c
    cl /c -Ic:\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\include -Ic:\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\include\win32 -MD HelloWorld.c
    cl /LD MyOldHello.obj HelloWorld.obj /FeHelloWorld.dll

  • How do I hide the Dynamic Page parameters from being displayed in the URL

    Hello,
    I am using a form to call a Dynamic Page and to send parameters to it ,
    is there a way to hide the parameters values from being diplayed in the URL
    when the Dynamic Paged is called .
    Thanks .

    Hi,
    You cannot hide the parameters in the url. The GET method works like that. You can use the POST method to submit the parameters. But in your case the POST method may be not be appropriate.
    Thanks,

    how to imp

    hi ,
    do u mean u need to call the external link from ur WD ABAP application ?
    if so , u either create
    1 a Link to URL ( LTU ) UI element  and call the external link using that
    2 if u wish to use some other fuctionality and thn wish to call the URL in ur application ,u write this piece of code in ur relevant on Action method :
    data:  lo_window_manager type ref to if_wd_window_manager.
    data:  lo_api_component  type ref to if_wd_component.
    data:  lo_window         type ref to if_wd_window.

  • How to call an external web service from OIM?

    Hi,
    I have a question on how to call an external web service from OIM within e.g. creating user process? How should it be done; through adapter and task in the process?
    Any recomendations?
    Thanks in advance!

    it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
    Lets do some divide and conquer:
    Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
    Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.
    Best regards
    /Martin

  • Phone and my husbands iphone ring at the same time when only one of us is being called. How can I stop this from happening?

    Both my iphone and my husbands iphone ring at the same time when only one of us is being called. How can I stop this from happening?

    This post has already been answered. Why are you plugging your own site with an answer that has already been given? Not to mention that the information you are handing out is incorrect. There is no bug, there is no patch, and no one needs to delete any email addresses. If you take the time to read the posts with the correct answers, you will see that the solution is totally different than the erroneous one you have posted.

  • How can we call a external webservice from sandboxed webpart?

    Hi,
    I need to call an external webservice from sandboxed visual webpart in 2013. And that webpart would be used in office-365 site. Please let me whether it is possible or not.
    Thanks,
    Arindam

    Sandboxed solution server code can't call an external web service.  There are ways to write a sandboxed solution that calls a web service using client side code.  Here's a sample of a silverlight application deployed via the sandbox that can call
    an external web service.
