Hide/Show Pages Based On Dropdown Selection

Hello,
This one is driving me crazy. In this form (attached) I have 3 checkboxes and based on what is checked, I want to hide the first page and navigate to the 1st checked box. It works for the Web Chat option, but all others do not. Also, on the next button from the Web Chat page, when I click next, I have an alert pop that should only show if Web Chat is the only selection chosen, but it shows no matter how many selections are made from the checkboxes.
As always, any help is appreciated!

That took care of the popup issue, but the navigation is still a problem. For some reason choosing any option from the checkboxes and any option from the Type of setup dropdown always brings me to either a blank page or the Web Chat page.
Thanks for looking into this, hopefully you (or another member) can assist with this issue as well.

Use presentation values in prompts for year,half,qtr and month.Example- For year-y is presentation variable in the same way for halfyear-h,qtr-q and month-m.
create four intermediate reports.Example-Report r1 with only year column,r2 with only halfyear column,r3 with qtr column and r4 with month column.
Make column in each report(r1,r2,r3,r4) is equal to their presentation variables(y,h,q,m).
Use four sections.
Section1-Place report that should come when only year.
section2-Place report that should come for year and halfyear.
Section3-Place report that should come for year,halfyear and qtr.
Section4-Place report that should come for year,halfyear,qtr and month.
Apply guided navigation for each section selecting guided navigation-
For section1-
properties->Guided navigation->check this Reference Source Request(Yes)->select report r1(year)->check this Show Section(if request returns row)
In the same way do for remaining section2(select r2),section3(select r3) and section4(select r4)

SSRS 2008 - hide chart lines based on parameter selected

How to control visibility of chart lines based on Params selected by user?
By default, my report display last 3 years worth of data (including current) with Month on the x axis and Counts on the y axis. I have two Boolean parameters:
TwoYrs? T/F
ThreeYrs? T/F
if False is selected for TwoYr and ThreeYr parameters then I want to hide chart lines corresponding to last year and the year before.
What I've tried: Created 3 Series groups with filters. eg. YearSeries1 to return only current year data and applying an expression to display it if params TwoYrs and ThreeYrs = False. and so on for YearSeries2 to return current + last
years data if param TwoYrs is True and ThreeYrs = False. But I don't see where to add expression to control the display of the individual series groups. I am open to any way of doing this, but this seemed most logical.

In your Source Query just need to filter the series data based on the Parameters.

Branch to different page based on the selection of select list

I have to create an application in which i have a form containing a field with static lov's ...
now i want that whenever i click on a save button it branches to some page based on the selected value of lov of that field...
like if i select marketing from lov and press save button then it will branch me to marketing page...
so how can i achieve that in my apex application
please help if anyone knows the answer

in the page branch, change the page to *&PX_LOV_NAME.*
change X to page number and the LOV_NAME to the name of your select list
Don't forget to add the . on the end

I'm using ColdFusion 9 and
I want to show/hide a form field type=checkbox if an assigned value is selected in a dropdown list, but it doesn't work.
I use a javascript function.
My question is: Are there better possibilities with ColdFusion to do this or is Javascript the best solution???

I changed the javascript function and replaced the <div> with the <table> tag. Then it works.

Report to show data based on the Selection

I have a prompt which is having three filters i.e. Region Country and City.
I have to create a report which shuold show the revenue share based on the selection of the Prompt.
Say When the Region is selected as Eurpoe then report should be:
Europe : 12%
Say When the Counrty is selected as UK then report should be:
UK: 6%
Say When the City iis selected as London then report should be:
London : 1.2%
How can we get this implemented?

You want a level based measure in the BMM which will allow you to derive the region share regardless of filtering.
Then simply use Region is prompted in the report to filter for only the region you want.
For level based measure, duplicate your measure and drag it to the total level of your Region hierarchy. Define you % measure in the BMM as a logical calc.

hi i have a situation where i have to select department name as lov and click button to navigate to next page and display information of that selected department in he next jsff page am in jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 how can i do that

ok timo is working now ,but my problem is now am not able to display child records of a child records when i try to navigate for second time.and another thing if i don't refresh the page after i make selection in lov and try to navigate i get this error
the situation is
1.on page load i select organisationname in lov and navigate to next page,and able to display organisation details and child records details and child records details without a problem,
2.if i click back and navigate back to lov selection,i make another selection ,i must click refresh and able to navigate to next page,but this time it only display child records,but anything link to child records is not display this time
3.the link is like organisation->org_address->address .in the second navigating am not able to display address but am able to display org_address

Using jquery to hide/show field based on query results

I have a form that includes fields for country and state/province. Initially, the state field is hidden. When the user selects a country, I use a bind expression in the state field to get the states in the selected country. I want to display the state field only if the country has states (since some countries don't). Can someone tell me how to do this? Here's the relevant stuff:

I presume you have a JavaScript function that handles the results of the cfc binding?
If you don't you will need to incorperate one. Then, as well as populating the second select, this function can use logic to show the second set of controls.

Check box based on dropdown selection

I have a dropdown menu with three choices: Level I, Level II and Level III. If the user selects "Level I" from the menu, I need a checkbox named levelI to be checked. If they select "Level II", I need the checkbox named levelII to be checked, and so on.
I don't care if the boxes are checkboxes or radiobuttons. I don't know if the code needs to go in the dropdown menu field or in the checkbox/radio button fields. If you can help, please be sure to specify whether this would be entered on a change event, or exit event, etc. because I am clueless about this one!
I've tried all of the code combinations I can come up with based on my limited Javascript knowledge but nothing is working and I can't find any examples of this online...

First make sure the Object > Binding tab of the dropdown you tick 'specify item values'. Then in the exit event of the dropdown menu put (in formcalc):

How to show pages based on user logged in adf security ?

Hi All,
JDev ver : 11.1.1.4.0
I have three Roles MANAGERS, ADMIN, ANALYST with users in each role.
And i used form based authentication. There are seperate screens for each user, i want to show according to the user entered with Roles.
How to Configure these roles in Resource Grants and what should be done in login action..
For me the page now going forward, it remains in the login page itself
How to do that ?

How to go to different jsp pages based on different selection?

I put SELECT and OPTION in the page. I want to go to different jsp
          pages when different OPTION been selected, but there is only one URL
          in the action attribute. How can I do it ?


add a javascript on the select tagg:
          onchange=javascript:jump(this);
          Then make a javascript to pull out the url from the value attribute in the
          selected option tagg.

Sum Fields Based on Dropdown Selection

I have (1) dropdown field named (CAT) that contains (7) items and repeats in (31) rows. I also have (3) different decimal fields (REG, TIMEHALF, and DBL) which may or may not contain data, that also repeat in the same (31) rows. Lastly, I have a separate field (BASEBLDGTL) that is not connected to the table, which I want to use to calculate the (3) different decimal fields base on the selection of the dropdown field. So basically, I'm looking for the BASEBLDGTL field to add all of the REG, TIMEHALF, and DBL fields together for each row if the first item in the dropdown field is selected. I also want the BASEBLDGTL field to be able to pickup on possible changes to the selection of the CAT dropdown field. Any help would be gracefully appreciated as I'm a complete idiot in Java and FormCalc.

New printer not showing on printer dropdown selection list

Hi.
I had a canon MP600 printer that I removed and replaced with Canon MG5350. It prints fine for word/excel but for adobe pdf the new printer does not appear in the select printer list, but the old one still does. I can't print any pdf file and don't have the old printer.
How can I get the new printer to appear in the list?
Please do help.

OS is windows 7, and I had no problems with printing other docs, only pdf, but....
I was searching around other forums and came across this fix, hooray

However, if the permission is denied, click on edit tab and allow permissions. Then you can delete the device printer.
Then, I went back to control panel, devices and printers, selece the new printer as default and hip hip hooray.
Anyone else having problem where the new printer, or indeed a printer doesn't show on the printer dropdown selection list, can try and use the above method. It worked for me.
