Hiding 403 text in KM?

Hi All,
In our portal landing page, we are displaying a sales graph, once we click on sales graph users will be able to see detailed graph.
Currently we are in a process of differentiating these graphs between the users, so we are decided to give this "Detailed graph" to few users or user groups. Recently we have given permission to detailed graph to some limited users.
Here the problem is, if the user dont have access and if he clicks on that it is getting an error called
"403 The Requested operation is forbidden for this resource. You do not have permissions required to access this resource".
Can anyone suggest me how to hide this text in KM?
or
Can anyone help me how to differentiate the users or usergroups in "Welcome Page",
example : User group 1 - Clickable graph
User group 2 - Non Clickable graph
Note: Welcome page is accessible by User group1 & 2. Attached to Role 1. ( No duplication)

Hi ,
I am displaying the text in table with two columns and in one column i am giving the text elemnt and in other the value.
I had given the condition that if the data is not present then the text elemnt should not be shown in the form .My form is working perfectly except that its leaving the space for that text element.

Format for hiding the text in sap script

Hello gurus,
I waanted to know if there is any tag column to hide a text in corresponding line. My detail requirement is that I need to add GUID as a indicator at the beginning of the formatting text but that should not be visible to the user. currently you can protect the text i.e not allowing the user to make changes to the text by using tag '>X'. Like that is there any tag for hiding. I am not able to get it.

Preview 5.0.3 keeps hiding my text annotations, forcing me to find them 1 by 1 and double click on them to show their text, is there a way to show all?

Somtimes, Preview 5.0.3 will hide my text annotations, forcing me to find them 1 by 1 and double click on them to show their text. After clicking on the Pen icon on the sidebar, i can see what slide numbers they are on, and have to go through 1 by 1 and double click them. For 200 slide classes, this becomes very annoying, is there a way to show all? or just to prevent it from hiding them in the first place?

What is browsed on one device has nothing to do with what is browsed on any other device. If you see something in a browser history in the iPhone, then either he didn't click "private" or didn't clear the history on that device.
I also want to know if I synced both of our IPads, will what he looks at thru safari privately or not show up on my IPad Air? (most likely not, but I need to ask)
No. Again, browser history is not synced to other devices.
If he's surfing and either using Private Browsing or clearing the history, then there's no way you can see what sites he's visited. You'll just have to decide how to deal with that from there.

Problem hiding a text field

Hi,
For some reason I am unable to hide a text field by clicking on a button. This is what I'm doing:
txtField.presence = "hidden";
I'm using javascript and I can hide other buttons if I set their presence to "invisible", but I cannot hide a text field at all. Am I missing something here?

Make sure the reference path to your text field is relative to the button's location on the hierrachy tree. The way you have it, I assume the button and the text field is under the same parent container or level.

Optimizing PDF hiding some text in image

Hi all,
When I optimize the PDF with check on the "Transparency" option, it hides all the math sign from the text of images.
For example '+2.5' becomes " 2.5".
Please help to let me know why it is happening and and how to avoid this.

Thanks to an Adobe user who goes by "Test Screen Name" for this solution!
DO NOT print to PDF from InDesign to create a PDF. Instead, use the Export function.

Hiding hyperlink text with opacity, fails to export.

I use the settings for hyperlinked text with 0 opacity in normal state, and full opacity on when you have it selected or a mouse over the text.
So the text will pop up when "mouse over".
Worked in iweb 2, (but made only parts of the text visible when mouse over...) In Iweb 2.1 it doesnt work at all....Is this possibility removed?

Well, I'm definitely hoping that this one will get fixed soon. I have several pages that are behaving very strange. When I add hyperlinks, the pages end up being blank when viewed. I take the links away, and the published pages are readable again. It's as if the CSS or encoding of some kind is not working properly. So, for now, for the pages to be viewable, I need to remove all links from the pages. I've tested this with the latest version of iWeb and starting from a blank blog entry. Very strange. Oddly, it doesn't seem to be consistent across all blog entries. I'll try to write back as I learn more.

Speeding up the hiding of text?

I have a java script that changes a subform to hidden if an "NA" check box is checked. The only problem is that is seems to take a long time for the text to actually hide. Is there a way of speeding the process up?

In PS CS6, Is there a way to break apart Handwritten text (not text recognition, just graphically)

I have a scanned document that I want to eventually bring into After Effects to animate each handwritten letter so that it will form into an image... and because this is based on an artist's work, it needs to stay in her handwriting...
So I want to prep it in Photoshop CS6 ... is there a way to do this easily...

Now, I have not used actual handwriting, but the concept is the same with a "handwriting font," as with the actual handwriting.
I use a series of Layer Comps in Photoshop, and Import those into Premiere Pro (will be essentially the same for AE). I start with the completed graphic, and then add a Layer Mask that covers everything up. Usually, I will just "paint in" this Layer Mask, so that I can get a rough idea of layout of the text. [If you scan is picking up background, such as the paper, things get a bit more tricky.]
Then, I hit the X button, to switch my colors for "painting out" that mask, starting with the first stroke, and working up to having no mask holding back, or hiding the text. Where strokes cross over each other, you have to give consideration for how that handwriting would appear, if one had shot a video of it, and at the cross-overs, the removal of the mask will be more complex, so as to not reveal any of the next stroke too soon. It can be a bit tedious, but can produce a good result.
As I complete the revealing of the stroke, or the part that I want (sort of depends on the pacing), I Save a Layer Comp, incrementing the name, which will be a numerical name, such as 00001.PSD, 00002.PSD, and so on.
I Import those into Premiere Pro (usually at a Duration of 3 - 5 Frames), and add a very short Cross-Dissolve Transition between each.

How do you hide text in Pages?

The Pages user guide doesn't say anything about hiding text so that it's there, but not visible and doesn't print unless invisible characters are displayed. Is that feature not available? If not, is there a workaround?
I really want to get away from The Behemoth From Redmond and do more in Pages, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've done a weekly church bulletin for years, first in AppleWorks & now in Pages. I had tried having all the regular events listed in my template but would often forget to remove what wasn't needed. I went to the copy & paste from another document method for awhile. Now, someone else makes a half-page insert with the information.
It sounds like you're re-using a document for the bulletin. Since you are used to hiding unneeded text, why not set up a template with everything needed & just delete (rather than hide) what's not needed that week? Then you won't be over-writing or permanently deleting anything as the template will remain unchanged.

You can save encrypted data wherever you like, including within your script file (though there are certainly advantages to having it separate from the code.) One easy example of this is with the ConvertFrom-SecureString and ConvertTo-SecureString cmdlets:
# At your console:
$secret = Read-Host -AsSecureString "Enter password"
$secret | ConvertFrom-SecureString
# copy and paste the data that this command produces, and
# place it into your script file (or a data file, whatever)
# In your script:
$encryptedData = '<copied from ConvertFrom-SecureString output>'
$secureString = $encryptedData | ConvertTo-SecureString
When you call ConvertFrom-SecureString the way I did in this example, PowerShell uses the Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI) to perform the encryption. That's the scenario you described, where you're the only person who can decrypt the data, and only
on your own computer. In the examples code I linked to earlier, I show some alternatives using RSA certificates to encrypt data in a way that is just as secure, but can be shared across multiple users / computers.

Can;t see the red line border around the text when I hit the Play button

On the last page I have a burgundy red lined border. However, when I hit the Play button, that red border does not show. I clicked onto it and then clicked onto: Send to front --- but when I did that, all of the text disappeared, presumable “sent to the back” since the line border was sent to the front so it could be seen.
I would like to see both text AND red border. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

With your text box selected open the inspector and go to the shape tab. There select border then you can choose the type of border that you want the thickeness, color and even a shadow if you want. You should be able then to delete the other border that seems to be hiding your text.

InDesign CS5 - Text won't align with shape

I've created shapes in InDesign CS5 and then added text boxes (separate elements). When I try to align the text and the shape, the text box acts as if the wrap function is on and the text is not visible. I've checked and the settings for both the shape and the text box are set to "no wrap."
I've tried searching for a solution online, but the answers I get are mostly related to wrapping text around a shape or other non-related issues.

Yes - I did that first, thinking I was "hiding" the text. But the text is in front...
The advice by Willi Adelberger helped - putting the text directly into the shape seems to be working, though I noticed that the text is still not quite aligned correctly...

Set the number of lines allowed in multi-line text field

Hi,
I am designing a form where I have some multi-line text fields where I only want the user to be able to enter a maximum of say 5 lines. I know I could do this by enabling the "Limit Length to Visible Area" option, however, this option is ignored by Reader 7 and the field scrolls, hiding any text that spills beyond the visible area from printouts. It works great in 8 though. To avoid this bug/feature in Reader 7, is there some script that I can use to limit the number of lines allowed in a text field?

I ran into similar issues switching between Acrobat/Reader. Here is the prominent code that works for me when I use this in "Enter" event of the textField.

I chose Allow Multiple Lines alone and noting else.

Disabling/Hiding form elements

Is there any concept of disabling or hiding elements in a form on the fly that could be done on a MIDP 2.0 phone? For instance, hiding a text box unless user clicks a button which displays the textbox.

There's no method for hiding the elements directly, but it would be easy to implement: have a reference to the element you want to hide/show, and just delete() it from the form object to hide, and insert() (insert() and not append() so you can push it back to it's old position on the form) it back to show.
