Hierarchial list display- multiple line selection

hi all,
In my program I have multiple item field records under a header field. When I select some of the item record line and press a button on application tool bar the control should be transferred to a transaction code.
how can I accomplish this in hierarchial sequential list display.
  The code I used is:

hi,
if u want to go to different transactions according to different fields u have selected than there is one field u can check that
<b>selfield-fieldname</b>
IF <b>selfield-fieldname</b> = 'VBELN'.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VF' FIELD itab-vbeln.
CALL TRANSACTION 'VF03' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
ELSEIF <b>selfield-fieldname</b> = 'MATNR'.
SET PARAMETER ID 'MAT' FIELD t_mat.
CALL TRANSACTION 'MM03' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.

  • How to display multiple lines in a text box defined in  steploop.

    Hi,
I have a requirement to display data ( which is dynamic in nature. I determine data type, length etc dynamically) in a table format. I am using step loop for the same. I am facing a problem. Some field can be as long as 256 char long. Is there  any way to display multiple lines in text box defined in a step loop so that I can display the complete string as one entity.
I can't use custom control as custom control can't be defined in a step loop or table controlI would really appreciate your help on this.
    Regards,
    Sanjeev

    Hello Sanjeev
Perhaps it is possible to use a <b>mixed strategy</b> consisting of a classical table control (or, even better, an ALV grid list) where you display the first 250 character of the data and next to the table control you place a simple textedit control. When the user selects one of the text fragments in the table control the entire text will be displayed in the textedit control.
    Regards
      Uwe

  • Multiple line selection and then capturing the selected values

    Dear all
in my alv program ,i need to capture multiple line selections  using checkboxes.
I have appended check boxes by adding it in the internal table  & filling in field catalog.
but problem is i'm not able to capture multiple selected check boxes dynamically,
i could capture only the last selected check box,
option i found was to use class method get-selected-rows,but i'm unable to use it properly, could anyone explain in detail
i have already gone through the various examples in sdn but i am not able to work out.
    like using parameters etc....
CAN ANY ONE HELP ME WITH THE CODE
    help reqired  immediately,
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ankur,
In the PAI, just after the selection of your user event, button or menu,
add this code before getting the selected records.
    <b>CALL METHOD grid1->check_changed_data
                 IMPORTING
                   e_valid = ws_x.</b>
where    grid1  TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
    Now fetch the selected records.
    Check this code for reference

  • F-44  ZBAPI MULTIPLE LINE SELECTIONS FOR WEB SERVICES

    HI TO ALL,
I HAVE WRITTEN ZBAPI FOR POSTING MULTIPLE LINE SELECTIONS FOR TCODE F-44, THE ZBAPI  CONSIST OF BDC PROGRAM, WHICH IS WORKING IN SAP SYSTEM PERFECTLY BUT WHEN I AM USING IT IN WEB SERVICES IT IS THROWING A  ERROR MESSAGE.
PLEASE CAN ANY ONE TELL ME DOES THIS PROCESS WILL WORK OR NOT, IF YES HOW IS IT POSSIBLE

    Hi Gabriel,
Let me try to answer some of your questions:
    1) The "Requires Secure Access" attribute of a resource handler controls whether this handler must be accessed/consumed only over SSL (HTTPS). Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service is only offered over SSL, so this attribute does not have any effect on RESTful services deployed in this environment (because secure access is always required and there is no other way). That said, if you want to access such web service from your own APEX instance, your instance must have Oracle Wallet configured with appropriate SSL certificate.
    2) The URI parameters are not required. If your web service returns data for many entities (for example, list of employees in employees/), you may not need a parameter. If your web service returns data for one specific entity (for example, details of one employee in employees/{id}), you may want to identify that entity with a URI parameter.
    3) You can have many URI parameters, for example: customers/{id}/orders/{order_id}.
    4) Yes, these are the same HTTP methods/verbs you would use from PHP.
    5) If you are trying this POST example from your own APEX instance (not Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service) and you are trying to access a web service over SSL, then it is likely that the Oracle Wallet used by your instance does not include the required SSL certificate(s), or the Oracle Wallet is not configured at all.
    6) I recommend to check RESTful Web Services for the Oracle Database Cloud white paper and Oracle REST Data Services Developers Guide. Oracle REST Data Services is the technology that enables RESTful services in the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service.
You can certainly create your own web services in the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service and consume them from the same environment.

  • Multiple line selection for RRI  in WAD

Is it possible to select multiple lines from 1 query and do a RRI to the receiver query. Eg : Select multiple POs and then go to PO details query which shows PO details of multiple POs in WAD and both the results shown in the same web report?
I tried the below solution, but all I get is the display of the entire Master data dump and not the filtered values. Any suggestion?????

Yes. You can do this. You create web template with ANALYSIS web item. In the item parameters of ANALYSIS web item, you can set a property, single line or multiple for the runtime selection. Once you do this, you create a button option or context selection menu option to jump target. In the button (RRI button) in the command sequence, the first command should be SET_SELECTION_STATE_BY_BINDING and then, the RRI command to jump to the target. Hope it will help.

  • Crystal report -How to display multiple lines in line chart?

    Hi,
M struggling to display multiple lines in line chart. All the values m fetching it from database into data table in below format & data type
    Category(String).....year(Int).....graph_values(Int).....table_value(String)
    Test.........................2006.......... -100............................(100)
    Avg..........................2006..........20................................20
    Median......................2006...........5................................5
    Test..........................2007...........500.............................500
    Avg...........................2007............90..............................90
    Median.......................2007............45..............................45
M using cross tab to display data and chart to plot line. Following fields I used in Cross tab Expert & Chart expert
    Cross tab expert-
    Rows u2013 category
    Columns u2013 year
Summarized fields u2013 Min of table_value
    In Chart Expert u2013
    On Change of - Year
    Show values - graph values
In cross tab m able to see the data properly but not in graph.I have three categories. Hence it should plot three lines in line chart but m able to see only one line for test category.
FYI u2013 using VS 2008 and crystal report assembly version 10.5
    Urgent. Please reply soon.
    Thanks

    I got the solution.
In Chart Expert - I should use
On Change of -- Year, Category
    Show values -- graph values

  • How to extend MobileIconItemRenderer to display multiple lines of text?

    Hi,
I am using Flex hero which has the added Mobile APIs.
Has anyone been able to extend the MobileIconItemRenderer to display multiple lines of text.
The current version of the MobileIconItemRenderer only displays 4 things: an image on the left, a label on the top to the right of the image , a message below the lable, which could be a sentence that can take multiple lines and an icon on the right.
So I would like to replace the messageField content with multiple single lines , one after the other.
    Has anyone does this?
Otherwise, i suppose I would have to implement my own ItemRenderer if I want to customize the location of the components inside the item?
    thank you

  • How to display multiple lines of texts in a single rows in ALV

    Hi,
I have a unique requirement in which i have to display multiple lines if texts for a single rows in ALV Grid. Right now in my output it is coming in single line which is not visible fully because that text is more than 255 character. So i want to display the test by splitting into multiple lines and show it on output. Please suggest some solution for this if this is possible in ALV.
    Thanks,
    Raghav

    Hi Raghavendra,
Its not possible to display multiple line in one row of an alv, but i think you can acheive it by splitting the whole text into multiple sub-text.
For example, if your requirement is as below:
    Field #1          Field #2
    1                    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(200 characters)
    2                    yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy(220 character)
then you can break Field#2 value into say 50 character and then populate the internal table with repetative entries of Field#1 and the finally sort it by Field#1 value... as a result of which you output will be somewhat as below:
    Field#1          Field#2
    1                   xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
                         xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
                         xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
                         xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    2                   yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
                         yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
                         yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
                         yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
                         yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Hope it will help you in meeting your requirement.
    Regards,
    Shradha

  • Multiple line selection in basic list

    Hi,
I have a report output with a Check Box being the first column.
How can we process multiple lines by selecting  multiple check boxes, i.e if the user checks few check boxes and clicks on the user menu button something should be processed further.
Now can someone suggest how to update the internal table once the user checks more than one check boxes in the list output.
looking forward to ur valuable replies.

    Hi,
You will have to read the content on the list using the READ LINE statement. Here's a short sample program that I have just written. See if you are able to understand the logic.
REPORT  zlist_test no standard page heading.
    data: list_line(72),
          begin of itab occurs 0,
            box type c,
            num type i,
          end of itab.
    start-of-selection.
    do 10 times.
      move sy-index to itab-num.
      append itab.
    enddo.
    loop at itab.
      write : / itab-box as checkbox,
                itab-num.
    endloop.
    at user-command.
    if sy-ucomm NE space.
write 'The following lines were checked'.
      do.
read line sy-index line value into list_line.
        if sy-subrc ne 0.
          exit.
        endif.
        if list_line(1) eq 'X'.
          read table itab index sy-index.
    * Here you can also modify the internal table with the value of the checkbox.
          write : / itab-num.
        endif.
      enddo.
    endif.

  • DYNP_VALUES_READ Limitations for multiple lines select options

    Hi all !
First post here, but a tough one I think. Here is my inquiry :
I have worked on an specific abap function used in many long abap list reports. Theses reports are launched in background processing. The aim of this routine is to stop the report execution if a background job with the same selection parameters is already launched for the current user (to Prevent useless several launch of a time-expensive program).
Because this routine is dynamic, I read the selection screen of the current report with the function 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'. And I compare the result with the variant of the backgroung job (read with function 'RS_VARIANT_CONTENTS').
The real problem is that function "DYNP_VALUES_READ" only extract the first line of select-options. I found an alternative solution to extract the select options values (a dynamic assign with field symbols), but external conversions (for WBS elements for example ) are lost, so the comparison detects differences between the background job's variant values and the current selection screen values.
Does anybody know a way to get entire select options values from a selection screen just as they are displayed on screen ?
    Thanks for reading my message
Message was edited by: Thomas BRICOUT

    Thomas,
Perhaps the following code will help you.  A function module in the code captures everything on the selection screen into an internal table.  It doesn't actually capture the information the way you want it, but I believe you will be able to work with it to achieve your desired result.  If it doesn't meet your needs, it is still useful for printing selection screen fields and their values.

  • How do I come back to the Hierarchy List Display screen?

    Hi Gurus,
I have designed a report (Hierarchy Sequential List Display).
I would select a few records from the resulting report (by clicking on checkboxes that i've provided in the report) and perform an event which inturn executes BDC code.
After executing the event, I am displaying another screen where in I am displaying the result of BDC with Success/Error messages. Now in here when I press the back button it is taking me to the selection-screen.
How can I get back to the report screen after pressing the back button on the message screen.
    Solution would be rewarded.
    Thanking You,
    Kiran Kumar S

    Hi Anji,
I am not calling a screen exclusively for my BDC, so whatz happening is the new messages report is getting displayed on the same screen and I am losing the report screen. BDC is not written as a different program and hence I could not use SUBMIT.
The thing I am doing is SET PF-STATUS 'xxx'. I have defined a GUI for 'xxx'.
So this is setting GUI and then displaying the error/success messages report on the same screen.
    How do i handle this?

  • How to make an editable bulleted list with multiple lines and custom bullets?

How do I create an editable bulleted list in Acrobat Pro? I've figured out how to add text fields with multiple lines, and how to add a list box, but I don't see the check box for multiple lines in the list box or how to add bullet points. Can someone please give me step by step instructions? Also is it possible to use custom bullet points?

Is it a text field or a list box field? The two are not the same...
The bullets are something that the user will have to enter manually (into a text field, they can only select values in a list-box).
They can use any unicode character, or special characters if the font used for that field allows for it. You can't use images for the bullets, if that's what you mean.

  • How to display multiple lines for texarea

I have a textarea where user can type in several lines of code. I am storing it in varchar2(2000).
When I display that textarea, it gets displayed in 1 single line that drags all the way to the right. I want it to display the text in multiple lines where each line containing no more than lets say 7 or 8 words.
    How can I do that.
    Thanks for your help

First, expecting an answer here in just a couple hours is optimistic to say the least (and possibly pushy at most).
To your question: You don't say which browser you're using, which could be an issue.
Since you said the user is entering lines of code, I'll assume there are spaces between the values? If not, for example, they're entering a URL, it won't wrap the line.
But I just edited a sample editable tabular form of mine and set the Element Width = 60 and Element Height = 10 and it worked as expected. My point being, you might want to try setting the Width, not just the height.
