Highlight particular member of Chart using CSS

Hi Experts,
Below is my chart output in DS 1.2. Source is Bex query.
As you can see in chart, there is a red line on the period 2013.009. We should show this kind of straight dotted line on the period entered by user in Prompt. Is it possile to achieve using CSS? If yes, could you pls throw light on the respective code.
2013.009 is Fiscal year period user enters in Prompt. Hence the red line should be dynamic on the periods entered by user.

I did not see any option for this , may be custom componet will work .
if possible try this .
1) in Design studio
if your X-axis is fix (by count not values ) .
Then you can add 15 Text-Box in DS.
Arrange them on Chart .
set width 1px ,
CSS
right border as 1 px ;
color red
Show them Dynamically for selection with some code if possible .

Bordering Rows in a table using CSS

HI,
I'm using Dreamweaver CS3. I have a table of 2 columns and 5 rows on 1 particular page. What I would like to do is put a thin border at the bottom of each row. What I am doing is highlighting the first row by choosing the TR tag and starting to create a new rule in CSS which looks like this:
Selector type is Advanced
I choose this page only
.twoColElsLtHdr #container #mainContent table
This doesn't encompass the TR tag so it will only format for the table. If I add the tr tag it doesn't seem to do anything fo the rows in that table.
Is there a correct way to use CSS to format rows in a table without formatting each row individually?

How to pull particular member in Planning Forms.

Hi All,
Just have a query how can we pull particular members in Planning Data form formula row. Need to apply some formula based on particular member caluculation.
It can be done by row reference but wanna make it dynamic in nature as row might change later on.

You may need to update the member twice, once to remove the UDA and then to insert the new UDA
To remove the UDA use <NONE> in the UDA column.

Pie Chart highlighting (immitating 3D Pie chart with ellipse shape)

I have to create a pie chart using jdk 1.0. Since I have to make it looks like 3d, I used fillArc() to draw ellipse shape pie chart. I am having trouble highlighting the pie where the mouse is over. Using atan() to get degree of x and y mouse possition and compare to pie's degree works only for a circle but not for ellipse shape.
Can someone tell me how I can verify xy mouse position with each ellipse pie piece?
Also, I have to draw a label for each picese and the lavel has to point to each pie. I need to get the mid point, x and y possition, of perimiter of each pie.
Can someone help me please?

Create organizational charts using application express

I would like to create organizational charts using the application express(HTMLDB). How do I go about it?
I also tried the Aria sample application for HTMLDB 2.0, but when I try to run the scripts it asks for some bind variable parameters ' :NEW ' and ' :OLD ' which I could not identify. Can anybody help with understanding the standard inputs to this?

Bottom align menu on public site using CSS

I am working on the design of a public site and am attempting to get the navbar menu to bottom align so that it sits neatly
on top of the content zone below and is bottom aligned with my logo. I'd like to accomplish this using CSS. You can see the public site here to get an idea of what I'm trying to accomplish: www.threebearsrealty.com
I've already determined that I can use the css below to align the logo and text on top of the slider zone, but it then cuts off the top of the logo.

According to your description, you might want to bottom align the logo and the navigation menu without cutting off the top of the logo.
As a workaround, you can set the “margin-top” attribute of the navigation menu to lower it to align the logo.
You can apply a CSS rule(this highlighted part in yellow) like this and the page would look as below:

TableView columns headers customization using CSS

Hi,
I'm trying to customize the TableView columns headers using CSS, but up until now, I was not able to find the CSS class name for the previously mentioned elements.
Can anyone point me to a document or link where I can find all the available CSS classes for TableView and, why not for all the JAVA FX 2.0 widgets.

You can also look at caspian.css inside the javafx runtime as it is the default CSS sheet for JavaFX applications and is a good place to see a lot of the style classes in use. The particular class you want is .table-view .column-header{} for individual columns or .table-view .column-header-background{} for the whole table header in general. Hope that helps.

Migrating from Crystal Reports Charts using TopN and "Other" to Reporting Services

I am currently migrating several Crystal Reports that have charts. The chart series is set to use the TopN values in a count, and combine the rest of the series into one series titled "Other". I see how to filter the chart using TopN, however I need to still show the rest of the data grouped as "Other". I think the solution I need is to create a group expression that uses some sort of IIF function to create the "Other" group, but I haven't found a function that I can use to get the results I need. Any ideas?

We were looking at report deployment options and evaluating SSRS vs Crystal Report Server. There were several reasons we decided to go with SSRS:
Cascading Parameters
Ability to use multiple data sets in one report
SSRS seemed more user-friendly than CRS
There were a few other considerations I can remember now, but the final reason was price. My company already had the licenses for SQL Server. However, even if that was not a consideration I still would have gone with SSRS.

One way is to Create a Excel template in the predefined format with the rows/colums linked for the Chart.
Use this template with report generation toolkit to populate data in the predefined cells.Based on that the chart will be automatically updated.

How do I scale a lot of images using CSS in HTML5 and CSS3

I have a CSS image gallery that displays a larger photo with descriptive text below it, when a thumbnail image is hovered on.
Each photo has code like that following:

The first source is a thumbnail, image stored at a size of 72 by 48.
The second source is an image stored at 600 x 400.
When the thunbnail is hovered on, the larger photo is displayed at its full size using css.
There are 20 or so thumbnails in this gallery, and different numbers in other galleries that use the same code.
The example above is number 19 from 20.
This works fine on tablets and larger displays.
When I wish to show it on an Iphone or similar, with a display that is 480 or less wide, I need to scale the larger photo down to 300 wide.
As the Iphone will have a lower quality of image than a larger display, it will not matter too much if the 600x400 photo is scaled down, and having tried it by giving it an ID with CSS like
#imagescale{ width:300px; } it looks acceptable. However, as IDs are supposed to be unique, then thats a no go area for the remaining photos.
My problem is how do I select the second image source shown in bold above, and scale it and the span text by 50%.
The text is not too important as it can be changed to fit - the image is the main problem.
I need someting like "if the display is less than 600 and the image is in the pics directory, display it at 300 wide".
The browser will hopefully take care of the height.
Any suggestiosn would be appreciated.

Thanks Nancy. The general idea and the link to the article helped a lot.
However, the css using using a percentage had unpredictable results when selecting repeated images.
The first one scales to 50% and then the next scales to 50% of the last one (25%) and so on ad infinitum, unless you click on another object that is not an image.
Using a pixel size like 280px rather than a percentage did the trick, but it also involved changing lots of other items before I could get everything to fit.
Now I have a better knowledge of media queries and how to set them up.
Best of all, all my image galleries work fine just using css and html. Never thought that would happen.

Here why I discarded that option is,
I may get the source files with changing layouts.
My Actual scenario is as follows.
Initially we developped all the things using PL/SQL packages. Its working fine.
But as per the inputs we received from requirements group, the file structure changes dynamically. and we would able to consider those new columns also. We should be able to changes the rules dynamically.
Lets say, we doing fullouter join on Src_A and Src_B. on columns col1_A and col1_B.
Now the requirement changes in a way that, the join should be done on Src_A and Src_C. on columns col1_A and col_C.
For this I need to define a new package.
Instead of that, I would like to do everything dynamically based on configuration parameters given as input.

Here I have a Problem regarding the creation of Table using CSS.
In My Application i have a table with multiple rows(Rows are Dynamically added to the table).First i am setting the table with the following properties:
width:900px;
height : auto,
Overflow : visible,
Max-height: : 200px.
If I use above properties,I'm getting a table with 5 or 6 rows(height upto 200px).After that i am getting the Vertical ScrollBar.
The problem is when a table has many columns, Vertical and Horizontal Scrolls are coming at the time of setting the table. The table height is not Increasing dynamically.
How can i use "height" property in CSS? (I want the table height to be increased when the columns are more.)

If so select the option convert to new region (opt-comm-R or selecting it by right clicking). Check your audio bin to make sure. Whats the "merge" function? Are u refering to the glue tool?

Displaying linked pages in an area of the screen, using CSS?

Imagine that I have a column on the left of the page that has a list of links to other pages. When you click on any of those links, then to the right the linked page is shown.
I know how to do this with frames, but I'm trying to figure this one out using CSS.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

embedded flash object in it. Mozilla Firefox reloads the flash file
when the div is displayed! (I dont want this to happen, as it's
unexpected functionality, my expectation would be that the flash
file would not change it's state at all, and would remain in
whatever state it was left in.)
I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue and is
there something I can do to prevent this from occurring?
To be more specific, I have a single HTML page with 8 flash
files embedded in it (yeah I know, it's a bit much). I am then
using CSS and Javascript to display (via a numbered link (with an
id)) an equivalent numbered div tag containing the flash file.
Mozilla Firefox reloads the flash object that is in the div.
Internet Explorer will not do this and will instead, load the flash
object only upon initial view of the flash object. All subsequent
links (in IE) will NOT reload the flash object on the page. I'm
guessing this is some kind of difference in the flash player as an
Active X object and the plugin, or is it just IE being clever? Or
am I way off?
