Holiday Schedules and Time Periods

Currently at our company, we have a 24 hour travel line. We have been able to use Time Period/Schedule and Partitions in CUCM to forward to different offices at different hours throughout the day. Below is what it is currently set up as.

Main is under a partition called Open PT. The same DID is under two other partitions (Office 2 and Office 3) where it forwards the call to an international number.
Their group has now requested that on certain holidays (thanksgiving, labor day, etc), all numbers be forwarded to Office 2 and another set of holidays (memorial day, presidents day, etc) forward to Office 3. I've looked at Unity holiday schedules and read over some options and it seems like I would have to get rid of the time period/schedules that I have set up in CUCM and set up a call handler with schedules and holiday schedules. How complex will this be? Can this even be done with the way they want it?

  • Query to search between two specific dates and time period

    Hi,
    Need a query to search between two particular dates and time period
    Like i want to search table having one date field .
    Suppose the date range is '01-JUL-06' and '01-AUG-06' and time frame
    is 23:00:00 to 08:00:00
    i.e i want to search between dates 01 july to 01 aug and also within the time frame i.e 23:00 to 08:00 hrs only

    The general principle is
    SELECT * FROM your_table
    WHERE some_date BEWTEEN to_date('01-JUL-06') and to_date('01-AUG-06' )+0.99999
    AND  ( some_date <= trunc(some_date)+8/24
               OR  some_date >= trunc(some_date)+23/24 )

  • IdM Scheduler and Time Change to Daylight Savings Time GMT to BST

    This isn't really a 'question' , but just a topic for discussion.
    We're not live yet, but will be by the time the clocks go back. So I'm just interest to hear everyone's experiences and any issues with regards to the switching to / from DST
    I did some "interesting" (or not) tests last night to see what happens with Pending Values which are due to take effect at the time change threshold of 01:00 GMT when switching to Daylight Savings Time (BST) GMT +0100.
    It seems as if the IdM scheduler keeps going according to UTC or GMT. However any values provisioned to target systems or to local tables using the ddm.datetime8601 system variable are in local time according to the runtime server or SQL server's locale settings.
    I set up a task to output from a javascript the current system date
    using the following in the functions.
    currentTime = new Date();
    return currentTime.toString(); // returns Locale Time String
    currentTime = new Date();
    return currentTime.toUTCString(); // returns UTC Time String
    in the same pass I also output the ddm.datetime8601 system parameter and the ddm.time24 system parameter.
    This task was to update a comment on an entry and Scheduled to run at 00:00:00 and was executed at 00:00:06 GMT all times were still in GMT as expected.
    Local Time: Sun Mar 27 00:00:06 GMT-0000 (GMT) 2011, UTC Time: Sun, 27 Mar 2011 00:00:06 GMT, ddm.datetime8601: 2011-03-27T00:00:06, ddm.time24: 00:00:06
    This task was scheduled at 01:00:00 in IdM and was exectued at 01:00:08 GMT by the runtime, and you can see the local time is being correctly reported as 02:00:08 BST. Note also the ddmdatetime8061 is also 02:00:08 i.e. BST.
    Local Time: Sun Mar 27 02:00:08 GMT+0100 (BST) 2011, UTC Time: Sun, 27 Mar 2011 01:00:08 GMT, ddm.datetime8601: 2011-03-27T02:00:08, ddm.time24: 02:00:08
    In the database the entry values MXI_VALUES ModifyTime field has the GMT / UTC timestamp.
    I also set up some pending value objects to be applied at 00:59:59 and 01:30:00 to see if the 01:30:00 would be 'skipped' as the locl clock change would've gone from 00:59:59 to 02:00:00. Well the pending values were correctly applied and expired and no 'lost' transactions happened as a result of the change.
    So essentially it seems to me that the IdM runtime and scheduler times are all based on UTC / GMT.
    I guess it's only an issue twice a year if you're expecting something to happen at a specific local time 01:00:00 or if you've got a global user base and their account expiry should be in each user's own country's local time. In these cases, it would seem that you'd need to convert the schedule times and pending value times to UTC first before setting them in the database.
    Has anyone else had any issues, thoughts, questions or suggestioins on scheduling tasks which span the DST time change when switching to and from Daylight Savings Time.

  • Date and Time Variable

    Hello BI gurus,
    This may be confusing so I will try my best to explain...
    I am working on a report in which I need to allow the user to choose a specific Date and Time period.  Now I have both Date and Time avaliable in my infoprovider.  If I create a variable for both date and time seperately it will not be able to associate the date with the time (right?).
    Ex.  User enters date range 2/01/2008 to 2/08/2008 and
                            Time range 10:00pm         to 3:00pm
    (and i understand that time may be kept using a 24 hr clock but this still doesnt fix my issue)
    this will output an error because the first time is greater than the later.
    and if I choose a time that is from 3:00 to 10:00 I can't be sure that the date range and the time are both being applied correctly (since this error above).
    Is there a way that we can tie the date with the time so the report will know that I am asking for 2/01/2008 at 10:00pm to 2/08/2008 at 3:00pm?
    or can i make the variables dependant on each other..enter begining date, time to end Date and Time
    Thanks and sorry for the long thread I wanted to be as clear as possible,
    Matt

    Dear Matt;
    I've the same problem!!!
    Any solutions?

  • Case function for time period

    I want to count the rows based on the date values and time periods of a date column. e.g.
    08/01/01 00:00 - 01:30 (row count)
    08/01/01 01:30 - 02:00 (row count) etc.
    I'm using the case function to create the time periods from the date column but I'm getting a syntax error, 'missing keyword' at between. How can I code the case statement to create the time periods. The following is the sql code I'm using.
    select TO_CHAR(START_TIME, 'yyyy-mm-dd') as process_date,
         case START_TIME

         end as process_time,
         count(*)
    from V8_Event_Vw event
    group by TO_CHAR(START_TIME, 'yyyy-mm-dd'), START_TIME

  • Years/Time Periods Security Issues Planning 9.3

    Has anyone heard of a bug/fix related to being unable to provide security access to years and time periods in Planning 9.3?

    What bug are you referring to? This is by design.
    Scenario member properties can be used to turn everyone's access to years and time periods on/off.
    Are you looking to allow some people to have access to a mix of years and periods? This can often be met through form security -- build the form(s) to access just the periods/years you want or don't want and then allow/disallow access.
    And of course all of the other dimensions can have security down to the individual member (if you're into pain).
    Or is there something more you're trying to accomplish?

  • DIFFERENCES between BASIC SCHEDULING and LEAD-TIME SCHEDULING.

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    Kindly let me know the differences between BASIC SCHEDULING and LEAD-TIME SCHEDULING.
    Looking for your early feedback.
    Warm regards,
    Kaushik.

    Hi,
    Basic scheduling :
    1.Basic dates are calculated.
    2.Exact to day.
    3.No cap reqmts are generated.
    4.uses the inhouse production time from material master.
    5.carried out automatically during planning run.
    In basic date calculation ( order start date/ order finish date ) the system always
    calculates backward scheduling.
    1. From the reqmts date the system subtracts the GR processing time to
    calculate the order fininsh date.
    2. From the order finish date the system subtracts the inhouse production time to calculate the order start date.
    3. From the order start date the system subtracts the opening period given in scheduling margin key to calculate the order opening date.
    Lead time scheduling :
    1.Exact to second
    2.ie production start date /time and finish date and time are calculated.
    3. cap reqmts are generated.
    4. uses times from routing.
    5. carried out only if the scheduling mode in MD02 screen is kept with indicator 2.
    From the order finish date the system subtracts the float after production to calculate the production finish date.
    From the production finish date the individual operations in the routing are scheduled backwards to calculate production start date.
    From the production start date the system subtracts the float before production
    to calculate order start date.

  • PP-PI Exclude time period from scheduling

    I have a design question,
    I'd like to exclude a certain time-period from scheduling, how do I do this?
    Example:
    From 1st of January - 1st of february, I cannot plan any production for material A (I can plan production for other materials). For the rest of the year, I'd like to spread my production for material A equally. How do I design this?

    Hi,
      This can be done by locking the workcenters.
    1. For all your workcenters goto capacity tabpage and choose capacity header.
    2. choose intervals and shifts and choose intervals.
    3. Enter the period as valid from 01.09.2007 and  valid to 31.10.2007
    4. In the same line goto work days and choose 0 ie non working days( if mentioned as working days it will be overrided as non working days) and save.
    5. For this period eventhough you have reqmts while converting the planned orders
         you will get pop up message that no routing is selected.
    6.It is upto you decide whether this planned order can be converted with default values from operation ( ie from tcode opjg).
    7. You can exit
    8. And also you can delete out dated planned orders by using roll forward period.
    Hope you got some solution to your problem and reward if useful.

  • Maintennace of public Holiday Calendar and Work Schedules

    Dear All,
    Can the access to maintain Holiday Calendar and Generation Of Workschedule be Given to Users in Production Server.If No why?
    Thanks,
    Punam Jha

    Hi Poonam
    The access to maintain holiday calendar and generation of wrk schedules could be given to either personnel adminsitrator or time administrator with appropriate authorizations...normally one or 2 power used would be given access like you have mentioned.

    Hi Chandrasekhar,
    my requirement is :
    in selection screen there will be two run mode :
    1) Run in Foreground
    2) Run in Background
    If user selects  ' Run in Background ' option , a block will open where user can give
    job schedule date  and
    job schedule time.
    Based on this date and time program will be scheduled in background.
    I have used like this :
    CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_OPEN'
          EXPORTING
            jobname                = v_jname

  • How to display the color of time period and the legend in Calendar view?

    Hi,
    Sorry to disturb you guys with a quite simple question.
    I want to do a calendar view to display the period of absence for the portal user. I've setup the iView but it displays neither the color of time period nor the legend.
    The problem is:
    1) If I test with <i>static legend</i> (that is, I input the time period directly in the form instead of using data service),
       a) I could only define <b>one</b> time period, because it's impossible to map the <i>out</i> port of calendar to <i>in</i> port of form on defining the event as 'goto'.
       b) I can't see the color displayd while deploying although there is just one time period! Neither the legend. I' ve given the label and color of the legend and assigned the action as default in design board. Why it doesn't work?
    2) If I test with <i>dynamic legend</i> following the chapter "<i>Display Date on a Calendar</i>" in the <i>Modeler's Guide</i> of VC;
        I assigned @RECORDNR to 'ID legend field', and used BAPI_ABSENCE_GETLIST as dynamic legend data service to edit the legend, and assigned the color for every ID. But neither color nor legend could kindly appear. What's the problem? Is there any error in the edit of entry list of the legend?
    Please help me! Thanks!!!

    Is there any advice?
    I'll greatly appreciate your help!

  • Basic and scheduling  dates & time calculation in process order creation

    Hi guru's,
    i have one requirement, i need to calculate and display the basic and scheduled dates & times based on the given input i.e material , plant , process order type , quantity , UOM and scheduling type ( for corresponding scheduling type user will provide either start date or finish date ) using RFC. can  u plz provide any function module for this purpose or logic for calculating the same  , as i am working on version 4.7ee .
    Awaiting for a quick response.
    Regards,
    Madan

    Dear Rohan,
    1.Check the length of break timings defined in the resource that is assigned in the phase.
    2.Check in OPUZ whether for the process order type and plant combination whether scheduling is to include the break time also
    (whether the check box for scheduling with breaks) is included.
    Check and revert back.

  • Comparing a time period and a date via trigger....

    Hi ,
    There are among others three tables....
    Table material
       material_code number
       onomasia   varchar2(50)
       guarantee_end_date date
    Table supplier_contract
         contract_code number
         start_date date
         end_date date
        supplier number(5)
    Table supplier_contract_material
          contract_code number
          material_code numberThe table material , for each material contains the guarantee_end_date , whereas the other two contain info about the materials that should be replaced/fixed/ e.t.c by the supplier in the specific time period (start_date - end_date).
    The thing that has to be done is there have not be any overlap of the dates.... In other words , when a material is bought then this is covered for replacement by the end of the date (guarantee_end_date in the first table). After this date there should be contract with the supplier for this material for a specific period (start_date - end_date , in the second table).
    I want to secure the database that when the end_user tries to update this time_period(start_date - end_date) before or between the guarantee_end_date ("when i say between the guarantee_end_date " , i mean the condition guarantee_end_date between start_date and end_date is not acceptable) then an alert would be raised ....
    So , I wrote the following trigger:
    create or replace trigger trg_check_eggisi
    before update on supplier_contract
    for each row
    declare
    guarantee_end_date_var date;
    begin
       begin
         select guarantee_end_date
           into guarantee_end_date_var
           from material a, supplier_contract_material b
          where a.material_code=b.material_code
           and b.contract_code=:new.contract_code;
         exception
          when no_data_found
           then return;
        end;
       if guarantee_end_date_var>:new.guarantee_end_date_var
         then
         raise_application_error(-20021,'NOT_APPLICABLE');
       end if;
    end;The problem is that the error ORA-01422 is raised ... because more than 1 material may be contained in the specific contract....
    Do you have any idea...????
    many thanks ,
    Simon

    Hi  John,
    As you want to  display the planned value of Depreciation for future years,
    since this is not possible you can display the planned values only for that year and that too for subsequent periods,  you  will  see  the Yellow icon stating it is planned which is not yet posted in the posted value Tab,
    Since if  you  want to display planned values for future year you have to  post Depreciation for subsequent period and close the fiscal year and again same procedure follows....
