Horizontal Scroll for Apex 4

I need horizontal scroll for a page in Apex 4. I saw an old thread about horizontal scroll using Apex 3.2. Below is the link for that thread where vee gave some plugin code to achieve this scrolling:
horizontal bar Scroolling.
I saved the code in the thread as js file and tried to import it as a plugin but the import was unsuccessful saying that was not a plugin file.
Has anybody done it in Apex 4? I will be grateful for guidance to achieve this.

Horizontal scroll for Tree component scrolls too far right

I've enabled the horizontal scroll bar for the Tree component.
But the scroll bar allows the user to scroll very far to the right into blank space.
The maximum width of my components measures 124px, as calculated by measureWidthOfItems(0,0), and I've verified this by measuring pixels of a screen shot.
I have tried adding an event to set the Tree.maxHorizontalScrollPosition, and I traced the value that I'm setting it to, and I also traced the value that it actually assumed after I set it. Both are 124px.
So I can't understand the behavior. I can scroll something more like ~400px to the right with lots of blank space.
Any ideas why?

Hmm, I'm not sure why this works, but it works, so for completeness here's what I did (in case anyone else runs across this same thread):

filesTree.maxHorizontalScrollPosition = measWidth - myTree.width;
I call the above code whenever the window is resized (in my app there are 2 places that can cause a resize of the window, I manually added calls to a function with the above code). There is also an example out there that resizes any time the window is resized, but if you do this then you really can't have liveDragging=true in a DividedBox (which I have) because the cost of resizing is very high and overtaxes the cpu when called many times consecutively. I just call it when the dragging is finished (that way I have live dragging enabled, but it only updates the scroll bars when the user stops dragging, which is visually acceptable).

Creating a horizontal scroll for mobile

I'm trying to create a horizontal scroll through a list of icons for a mobile webpage. Not sure if this is possible, but would love to know if it is!

Can you add some example as what exactly you are trying to achieve ?

CFLAYOUT (tab) - Horizontal Scrolling For Large Number of Tabs?

Greetings,
I have a cflayout inside of a cfwindow. It is a tab layout.
The number of tabs depends upon database content, so the potential
number of tabs could be unlimited -- although there usually won't
be a huge number of tabs. The problem is that when enough tabs are
created dynamically, the tabs on the far right are not
visible/accessible.
I was wondering if it is possible to trigger horizontal
scrolling (such as overflow in CSS) to allow the tabs to be
accessible. I would like to avoid using pagination or elaborate
math to fix a div. Seems like there should be a simpler solution.

I've had no problem restoring 20-40 tabs on a window and a few on another window.

How do I turn off horizontal scrolling for Magic Mouse?

I tried a few of adjustments under preferences but nothing seems to work.

I have tried this three times... copying and pasting into Terminal, hitting "Return" and then restarting.. with no luck?
Horizontal scrolling is horrible while using In Design.
I have a new Retia iMac... could this be why Terminal isn't defeating the horizontal scrolling?
I'm ready (very ready) to go back to my Microsoft Mouse with much less touchy horizontal scrolling.

Left Aligning an Anchor object in a horizontal scroll

I'm sure the answer to this is going to be so simple I'll be forced to learn how to kick myself.
I have a website that contains a static header section and a table row that contains a number of pictures in a horizontal scroll. The rest of the page does not scroll, just this one table row.
I want to be able to designate some of the pictures as the starting point for a new section.   So I created an reference link at the top of the page,

I can't seem to invoke the horizontal scroll for the site. It may be because I have the scrolling in a single table within the body and the script seems to be calling out the full <body> tag for the target.

I want my horizontal scroll bar!

It is unbelievably tedious to have to open the custom zoom widget in order to accomplish something as simple as a horizontal scroll in a document -- particularly since the custom zoom widget cannot be moved over to the side where the bookmarks pane is. Instead, I have to open it, move the window, close it to actually see, lather, rinse, repeat.
Come on, please give us a horizontal scroll bar!

Very interesting. I don't need a horizontal scroll bar *all* the time, but when I'm zoomed in closer than the width of the page -- well, I sure as heck need it then. :-) I would guess that most people would like the horizontal scroll bar to appear/disappear based on whether it's relevant. That would be OK with me.
The reason I use Adobe Digital Editions is to read case studies for business school -- that is to say, for reference and citation purposes. That's why multiple docs is important. And a lot of these cases, it turns out, have mixed portrait/landscape orientation. Most of the case will be in portrait, but some exhibits will be landscape -- that's when I most need the horizontal scrolling, for landscape-oriented stuff.

Horizontal scroll bar missing after switch to Apex 4 theme

Hi,
I upgraded Apex to 4.02 and switch my application theme from old 3.2 theme to new Apex 4.0 theme,
I found that all the Apex 4.02 won't show horizontal scroll if the interactive report width larger than the browser windows width.
Is this the default behaviour of all the 4.0 theme?
How can I change it to display the horizontal scroll bar.

How about editing the template with some css?
something like this should fix your problems (worked fine for me)

Help with code for inserting horizontal scroll bar in photo gallery in Business Catalyst site?

Hi,
I am using Business Catalyst and Dreamweaver to create a trial site.
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this request but anyway I have inserted a photo gallery module at the bottom of the sidebar in the homepage of my test site.
Can anyone advise on whether jquery or any other code can be inserted into the page or module code that will replace the "next" hyperlink below the first 4 photos with a horizontal scroll bar at bottom of the gallery so users can just scroll through all 12 images ?

How to get the Horizontal Scroll Bar for a Table?

Hi All,
As per my requirement, I am displaying several records in a Screen in a Tabular Format. But here I have to show 21 Columns in that table which is too high. I am able to display it but due to it I am getting a Horizontal scroll bar for the whole screen since all the columns are not getting displayed in the normal window screen space. But its looking too odd since once I am scrolling it to right the columns are getting displayed but the above Header Bar and Global buttons are not displaying, they are bound to the normal screen space.
Is there a way to have a Horizontal scroll bar only for that table instead of the entire screen so that on scrolling that bar only the table rows will beshifted ant got displayed?

Expand horizontal scroll panel on both sides for a zoom in effect

Hi,
I'm creating an interactive timeline with Flash Catalyst. It is set up as a long horizontal scroll panel which contains buttons that link to states with photos and text about historic events. One feature I would like to include is a zoom feature, like the one found on the bbc British history timeline (http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/interactive/timelines/british/index_embed.shtml ). E.g., when you click on a colored section of the horizontal scroll panel it will zoom in to view that timeframe in more detail.
The problem I'm running into is that I can't expand the scroll panel to the left. So, I can go into edit mode for the scrolling content, create a second state, and enlarge the scrolling content in that second state to create a zoom in effect. However, because the scrolling content will only expand to the right, I can't line up the interaction correctly.
Is there a workaround for this in Flash Catalyst?

i would like to know how to have an horizontal scrollbar for an interactive report (5.0) after making a pivot from the user interface; i have a lot of columns and without the pivot the horizontal scrollbar appears . After it doesn't appear.
I tried with the Region Header <div style="overflow:auto;"> and Region Footer </div> but without success.

Can you re-produce the issue on apex.oracle.com and share the workspace credentials, so that can have closer look at the issue?

Horizontal scroll bar for each page of the ADF page???

Hi Everyone,
I have developed one ADF page which is working very fine.
The width and height of the page is more by which it is showing vertical scroll bar and horzontal scroll bar at the end(bottom) of the page.
But the requirement is that the horzontal scroll bar should be displayed for every page when we scroll down but it is displaying at only bottom of the page.
How can i include horizontal scroll bar?
Any suggestions wil be really useful.
