command on linux look like /bin/rm -f filename.txt
on unix -> /usr/bin/rm -f filename.txt
how can i do this.

I downloaded the free DIY script but have no idea which bit I need to use to add to what I have made in Dreamweaver - it looks like this is an alternative form but I only need the piece of script to add to mine to onsubmitform call up a thankyou page.
Apologies I don't code I dont even use dreamweaver other than this specific situation and I rely on the DW help which has me asking the forum for the script as anything outside of adobe instruction do a then be = c or cut and paste x in this spot to do Y is probably out of my depth.
If I really knew what I was doing then the tectite site would be great but if their formmail has the capability as they describe below how do I get DreamWeaver forms to have the same redirect the user capability?
Or am I expecting to much from DW? If DW cannot do this then I will accept that the server default page is it (as crude as it looks)- at least the end result is success.

This How-To guide explains how to redirect the user to a custom URL after they've submitted your form.
Redirecting the User
All versions of FormMail display a default page to the user if you don't specify something else.
There are two possible outcomes to a user's form submission:
Success; or,
Failure (I do not need this for DW as it is already validated before submit form)
Static Pages
In the case of a successful form submission, FormMail defaults to a generic "Thank you" page. In the case of a failed form submission, FormMail defaults to a generic error page.
You can choose a different page by specifying a URL with "good_url" and "bad_url" fields, for success, and failure, respectively.
Like this:
<input type="hidden" name="good_url" value="http://yoursite.com/thanks.htm" />
<input type="hidden" name="bad_url" value="http://yoursite.com/error.htm" />
These are hidden fields that you add to your HTML form. You don't need to change the PHP code in FormMail to get redirection to work.
Template Pages
The "good_url" feature provides you with a static results page. If you'd like to show some of the information the user submitted, you can use a field called "good_template".
To do this, you need to set the TEMPLATEDIR or TEMPLATEURL setting in FormMail's configuration. Also, download the Sample Good Template and read the instructions in there.
There's a similar feature for error handling called "bad_template". However, error handling is more complicated so we've provided a separate HOW TO guide on Advanced Error Handling.

Here is what I have done:
As taken from another post:
Choose Forms > Manage Form Data > Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet.
In the Export Data From Multiple Forms dialog box, click Add Files.
In the Select file Containing Form Data dialog box, select a file format option in File Of Type option (Acrobat Form Data Files or All Files). Then locate the form files that you want to merge into the spreadsheet, select them, and click Select.
Repeat the previous step to add form data files that are in other locations, as needed.
Click Export. Then select a folder and filename for the spreadsheet, and click Save.
In the Export Progress dialog box, click either View File Now to open the spreadsheet file or Close Dialog to return to Acrobat."
     The problem now is that Adobe populates Excel in ABC order of the form, based off of the name of each box in the form. For example, if my form has three text boxes, named A, B, and C, then Adobe will export to Excel as such:
Row 1 =         A                              B                              C
Row 2 =         data entered             data entered              data entered
where 'data entered' is whatever the user typed into the form boxes. But what if I want a different order for exporting, and I don't want to rename my text boxes? What if I want:
Row 1 =         C                              B                              A
Row 2 =         data entered             data entered              data entered   ?

I don't have time to test right now, but there was a change with Acrobat 10 where it exports according to the tab order, which you may have to set manually, so give that a shot. Otherwise, you'll have to process the file after it's exported if you need the fields in a particular order. This wouldn't be too difficult to do with something like a VBS or JS script in Windows.

If you still have the form open, on the Design tab you can use the "Ctrl+Z" to undo changes multiple times (CMD+Z on Mac).
One thing to note for future, if you have a form that is in a good state and you are going to experiment with more changes you can (assuming a paid account that allows more than 1 form) Duplicate the form so you can work in the duplicate and then copy those changes back once you are satisfied with them.

If there are Acrobat PDF form fields, not jus a space for a form field, then you will have to add them. It would be better to ask the provider of the form to add the fields. If you cannot add the fields, then you can use the add text feature.
Have you looked in the "Tools" panel for the "Forms" category?

Sorting in iTunes changed - How do I get the former method restored?

For a couple years I used iTunes for Windows with 2 music content folders - the normal iTunes folder(s) under my Windows profile in which I kept iTunes-purchases and iTunes CD-ripped songs, and one in c:\mp3 for unprotected ripped or purchased MP3 files. Until I made a change in iTunes, I had the following sort order properties when the corresponding header bar was clicked:

The same sort of effect was seen when sorting by Artist or Album or whatever.
I decided I wanted ONE music folder. On advice from a magazine (Maximum PC) column, in preferences I chose to have iTunes organize my music (previously unchecked) and then in the advanced tab chose to iTunes Consolidate my music. It copied my music and everything initially looked fine. But, after looking more carefully, I saw the following new effect:

It's as if the entire sort order algorthm is different as regards punctuation and numerals. So, I unchecked the option to have iTunes "organize" my music, but the order didn't change.
What am I missing here?? How do I get the former order back to column sorting?
I'd appreciate any help you could give me - this is pretty annoying.

Get info and change the sort field(s) for one song,
then click Apply.
Right click the song and select Apply sort field and
pick which you want.
Unfortunately this is not working as intended with iTunes 7.3 for Windows (Mac too?). The "Apply Sort Field ..." does apply the new Sort Artist, Sort Album, etc. to related songs, but iTunes refuses to recognize that the songs were updated. If you check the tags, sure enough their Sort Artist, etc. have been updated, but iTunes does not seem to make use of the change. The only way I've been able to make it work is to go back into Get Info for each song and just cycle through them one-by-one without changing anything. As you cycle through, then the songs move to their proper sort order based on the updated sorting option. This wasn't the case with 7.2, so this would be a new bug.

you can use the wi-fi on your ipod to access public wi-fi networks (or indeed unsecured private networks.) some public networks are free, others aren't. the best way to show this is to go for a walk around your neighbourhood, with your ipod wi-fi networks screen showing, refreshing every so often. you will no doubt come across numerous private wi-fi networks, most of them will be secure and will have a padlock next to them, you may strike lucky and find an unsecure one that you don't need a password to access.
google "wi-fi hotspots". this will enable you to find hotspots near you.

How do you get a form in Query Mode

I've developed a form using the online tools, and published the form as a portlet. I can insert a record into the database but am unable to retrieve the data to view or update. Any help would be appreciated.

This is strange. If u are able to do dml operation in database, the same thing is possible by creating a Form on that table.
Can u explain little more what u are trying to do and what type of error u are getting?

Sorry, gary. I don't know what you're talking about when you say "I read the secure page in 2010". Feel free to elaborate if you wish but do not expect a response. It's not my interest to explain to you how to do something but I do feel obligated to tell others that what you're telling them is not completely safe. Please understand that I have in fact informed you of the vulnerabilities of your insecure script for as long as we have corresponded, even after the "security" amendment to your page, which is nothing more than a copy of someone else's work of which you unfortunately did not completely understand. No surprise there though given your frequent ignorance of the subject in the messages we have exchanged. Yep, that's basically what I told you over a year ago. I know that some have been using your email script to inject mail through the headers for sometime now. No one is sending you emails through your contact form anyway since the spry validation is broken, so injection of your server script is the only way to send emails from your contact page for users who have javascript enabled anyway. Perhaps you will now realize that your suggestions may be hurting others rather than helping them, opposite of what my posts regularly achieve. How do I get music form my 3 gen iPod to my computer?

So here is the deal. I loaded music onto my iPod Touch (pretty sure it is a 3G as I cannot upgrade past IOS Version 4) then upgraded my iTunes player when the latest upgrade came out. Some how during this operation several of my albums got erased off my computer. I looked everywhere and nothing, and wouldn't you know I don't back up my music. I discovered some of my missing albums on my iPod but when I sync to my computer the music does not move from iPod to my computer. I tried to activate iCloud on my iPod that is when I discovered my iPod cannot run IOS Version 6.
So my question is this: is there a way a way to transfer musc from my iPod to my laptop? I have looked everywhere and have found nothing and had resolved myself to never deleting the songs from my iPod but I thought I would try these forums as a last ditch effort.

You can use the following instructions(iTunes, iPhoto) to move the libraries to the external drive.
You can also drag your home folder to the external drive in the Finder and then change the home property for your user account in the NetInfo Manager, which is in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, if you need more space. When changed, this property should be along the lines of /Volumes/externaldrive/Users/yourname. If this is done, you should create a second account in the Accounts pane of System Preferences in case you run into trouble or the drive isn't available.
Additional space can be freed up by deleting items in the /Library/Packages/ and /Library/Printers/ folders you don't use, and running Monolingual to delete unnecessary languages. Don't use Monolingual to delete any architectures on an Intel Mac; the PowerPC architecture is necessary for Rosetta applications to run.

How do I get my form back as an un editable pdf.

I wish to send out a purchase order form to clients however when they email it back I want it to come as an uneditable pdf. Clients say I cannot prove what they ordered is what I gave them because I can tamper with their order. If I have a 'flat' pdf file I have better proof that the product is the one they ordered.
I have Acrobat Standard X and have found answers to this under the livecycle forum but it doesn't make sense to me.
I am prepared to pay someone to do it but all emails to Adobe go unanswered.

If you add a digital signature field and the person who places the order signs it, you will be able to prove that the document was not altered after it was signed. It will also lock the document, preventing further changes. The problem is Acrobat Standard cannot Reader-enable a document and include the digital signature usage right, but Acrobat Pro can.
The next problem is even if you Reader-enabled the document with Acrobat Pro, there is a license restriction on the number of times (500) you can use data form a particular form that has been returned to you, if you send the form to more than 500 recipients. If fewer than 500 recipients there is no such limitation.
If the users of the form happen to all be using Acrobat and not Reader, there are other options and this limitation does not apply. If that's the case, post again.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

How do i get sql plus to start in something other than command prompt?

I have just installed oracle 11g enterprise addition. I am use to a different type of editor for the sql plus, the one I am use to comes up in a white area and has drop downs for file, tools, spool, help and so on. You can also open notepad with a shortcut. I like this better than command prompt how do i get this?

I think you mean sqlplusw.exe which is a Windows executable delivered until Oracle 10.2 but no more delivered with Oracle 11g.
