Hi Pietrucciello,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know that it can be frustrating when your documents are not syncing to your other devices. In this situation I recommend reading over the attached article to make sure everything is set up correctly across your devices.

  • How do I turn off iCloud Drive?

I don't like the idea of all my docs in the cloud.  I want to stop the syncing and just keep the docs on my computer.  However, when I try to turn off iCloud Drive it tells me that I'm going to be deleting everything from my Mac!  How do I stop iCloud Drive but keep my files secure in my Mac?

The logic is that iCloud Drive is a hub for data shared among your devices, and the assumption is that if you delete something, you want it deleted. And practically, your file is treated as if the Drive copy is the only one. The Drive system may cache a copy on your device to allow easy, quick access, but the master copy is the one in the cloud. Delete the master copy and the cached copies have no "parent" and no way of maintaining any kind of sync.
It's similar to using a corporate network drive to get access to your files from anywhere. Delete a file without making a local copy and it's no longer accessible.

  • How to see photos on icloud drive with iphone 5c ios 8.1

how to see photos loaded onto icloud drive with iphone 5c ios 8.1?? carnt see them in the new photos app everythings up to date and icloud enabled on phone??

Go to iCloud.com on a computer. To see them on your iPhone go to iCloud.com in Safari. Tap the URL field. Pull favorites down and tap request desktop site. Sign into your iCloud account. Now you can view iCloud Drive or Photos if you turned on iCloud Photo library.

  • How to view photos in icloud drive from iphone or ipad devices

I upgraded to icloud drive and I added some photos there (not via the photos app), How do I access them from my iphone or ipad. Which app is compatible with icloud drive to view and share my photos?

As far as I know -none, but it will change with time.

  • How do you attach an iCloud drive file to email in iOS 8?

I've just updated to the iOS 8 and the only feature I was looking forward to was iCloud drive actually letting me manage files properly - e.g. attach a file to an email. However, as far as I can tell, there's no way to actually do this. There's no "attachment" button in the mail app and you can't even access the iCloud drive via a quasi-finder view to copy/paste... Has Apple forgotten that people like to email attachments to each other?

Likewise, there seems to be no way to save an attachment to iCloud Drive in iOS 8. You can send it to all kinds of other applications. Real life scenario from yesterday:
In train with my iPad. Received pdf document from client A that I wanted to send to another client, B. But I need to do this as a reply to a mail from client B, not by forwarding the mail from client A. HA!, iCloud drive I thought, and pressed the "open in" (document with arrow pointing upwards) symbol. It will let me open in 20 different apps, but not anything related to iCloud Drive. In addition, there is no way to actually insert anything but a photo or video into a new mail. To send something else as an attachment, you will have to start in an app that handles the file type (so I could have gotten half the way by opening the PDF in PDF Expert, or another PDF program, and used the "Send by E-mail" option there - still wouldn't have allowed me to send the doc as a reply to another mail - let alone extracting the file from the mail and getting it synced back to my mac via iCloud drive).
Had to get my Mac from my bag, connect to my phone hotspot, wait for the mailbox to sync, and do the sending from OS X Mail.

  • How to watch videos on iCloud Drive

I would like to store a bunch of videos on my iCloud Drive and then when I want to watch them I would download them to my iPad. How can I do this ? I'm guessing it's impossible to do with the native Videos app and maybe another app such as OPlayer will be needed for it, or is it possible with Videos ?

Not with Videos. If you wanted to see them in the Videos app, you'd have to add them to iTunes on your computer, sync it with your iPad, and then look at the "Home Videos" section in the Videos app.
If you want to store them in iCloud Drive, you would have to find a third party app that's compatible with Drive.

  • Where are my old iCloud docs? (iCloud drive)

    namely Numbers and Pages.
I did a "just in case" and just backed up all of them, however, I'm curious whether they're still hidden somewhere in my iCloud account, or did "update to yosemite" just wipe them when I updated to Yosemite? (I already had

HUh, that means that when i already upgraded to icloud drive on my ipad, the docs on the macbook werent even in icloud, just appeared to be, and were in all reality stored locally?  that would explain why they werent there when i clean wiped my mbp and installed yosemite. Thanks
Well, they were there (local copies anyway) inside a Mobile Documents folder in the user Library folder.

  • How to share files from iCloud Drive

    Hey guys!
    So here is the story:
Up until now, I have been using MS OneDrive (formerly Sky Drive) to store files, images and videos. The very simple reason is because Facebook shreds the quality into pieces. So instead of sharing pictures and albums by uploading them to Facebook, I used OneDrive and sent the link to my friends, or just posted the link on my timeline. With the wake of iCloud Drive I was hoping I could finally migrate to iCloud, but after uploading and sorting my files from OneDrive to iCloud, I can't find a link or option to share these folders, set permissions and similar stuff OneDrive already has.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Bluerain12ya

I agree. There should be an option for sharing individual folders and not the entire iCD... In OneDrive, I can share a folder with someone and set permissions to either let him view the files only, or also allow them to add/remove/modify files...
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad iCloud now supports all file-types and folders, but right now it's more of a personal locker and less of a cloud I understand people might upload copyrighted material, but that shouldn't cripple functionality.

  • How to see Office docs on iPad stored on iCloud drive?

How to view MS Office docs on iCloud drive on the iPad?

To further extend on your reply. If your unable to view the documents after you've linked iCloud to the local app on the iPad then see if you can view the document on https://www.icloud.com/#pages. If your unable to view the document there, then the document isn't in iCloud at the moment. You can simply drag the file onto the screen, and it should upload your document. After the document is visible on your iCloud.com the document will be viewable on all of your devices via the Pages app, when logged into your Apple ID.

  • ICloud  Drive is still upgrading many hrs after updating to IOS 8 on my 5s.  Anyone else having this problem?  How do I get it to finish?

How do I get the iCloud Drive upgrade to finish? is there a way to interrupt it?
It's been over 5 hrs since I updated my 5s to IOS8 and the swirly thing is still swirling next to iCloud Drive in my phone's iCloud settings.

    Hello purplechemist,
I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not turning off.  I'm not sure if you have tried this, but I recommend first trying to reset your iPhone:
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
You can find the full article here:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists after the reset, I recommend restoring your iPhone.  You can find steps for backing up and restoring your iPhone in the following links:

  • ICloud Drive Folder not showing up in Finder

Hi, I have a Macbook Air (2013) and I'm running the most up to date BETA Version of OS X Yosemite. I read somewhere that is is essentially the exact same as the newly released Yosemite. My iCloud Drive Folder is NOT showing up in my favorites in Finder. I can only access iCloud Drive when I open up Finder and then click on the "Go" button in the menubar. How can I add the iCloud Drive folder to "Favorites" in Finder??? I've read it should automatically be there but it's not. Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!

iCloud drive will not show in your "Devices" section, but in the Favourites.
Your "Favourites" are hidden.  Move the pointer to the right of the word "Favorites" to reveal the hidden Hide/Show controls and unhide them.  iCloud Drive will not show as a drive, but like a cloud.

  • Why my iphone5s do not have icloud drive feature ?

why my iphone5s do not have icloud drive feature ?

    Hey Lucas 8115,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to start using iCloud Drive. Please note that any documents that you've already stored in iCloud are automatically moved to iCloud Drive when you upgrade. This means that devices that are not supported with iCloud Drive may be unable to access your documents (more info):
    iCloud Drive FAQ

How do I start using iCloud Drive?
If you currently use iCloud, update all of your devices to the required OS (see above), then go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Upgrade to iCloud Drive. Any documents that you've already stored in iCloud are automatically moved to iCloud Drive when you upgrade.
    Thanks,

  • Icloud drive icon

    Hello,
upgraded to IOS 8 on all my devices yesterday, waited for iCloud Drive to become available on one of my PC's. It's now setup and running on a Windows laptop... (Interesting that it becomes available on Windows before Mac...)
I can see the folder in File Explorer, in iCloud on the web, but no way to access it on any of my IOS devices???
Should there not be an icon available? I'm already paying for additional storage, but I can travel with my iPad because I don't hhave access to my files???
Is it just just me or did I not set something properly?

    Hello danyelfromgranby,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Please see the following information to learn how to access content in iCloud Drive.
How do I access all my files in iCloud Drive?

Using any supported web browser, you can go to iCloud Drive at iCloud.com.
