How can a Java app validates and accepts a server certificate?

Hi,
I got a Java 1.6 client, running on JBoss 6, which is required to make SSL connection to LDAP server.
The first time when the Java client makes a secure ldap connection to LDAP Server, the server will send a certificate to the client. Once the client receives the certificate, it has to validate if the certificate is signed by a trusted CA. If it is, the client accepts and saves the certificate in a keystore. So, the certificate can be used later on.
As I known, most Web browsers that support SSL have a list of CAs whose certificates they will automatically accept. If a browser encounters a certificate whose authorizing CA is in the list, the browser will automatically accept the certificate, and establish a SSL connection to the site. Can I borrow from this idea, and implement it in Java world?

Actually if the LDAP SSL certificate is signed by a trusted signer the SSL handshake will complete successfully.
More typically, the LDAP host is either self signed or signed with an corporate internal signing certificate. In which case this needs to be imported as appropriate for the J2EE server (I believe it is just the standard JVM truststore for JBoss). Also note that some J2EE containers (not sure about JBoss) cache the keystore and truststore, so you may need to restart the J2EE server if you add entries to them.

If you mean that you can't find the App Store app on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ? If it is hidden then unhide it and the app should then appear on your iPad's homescreen, and you can then re-download your apps via the Purchased tab in it.

First, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.

Purchased "Moneypad app" missing in App Store. I've used that app for more than a year and all my financial records are in it. I have the backup but I need the app. How can a purchased app go missing??? Is that even legal??

I've used "Moneypad" app to record my financial transaction for over a year and I got an update today. After updating all the icons where misplaced and there were a lot of bugs in the app. The update said "Restore original app icon". So I decided to delete it and reinstall the app but now i couldn't find the application in the itunes store both through my Macbook air and my iphone 5. What do I do now?? how can a purchased app go missing? Is it even legal to delete apurchased app from the itunes store?? What happened to my money and the worst part is my records cant be used in anyother application but "Moneypad". There were 2 version of the app in the store. One was free and the other One was paid. Well... there really isn't any fully legal way to do this.
The simplest solution is to continue sharing the same iTunes purchasing acct, but create different ones for iCloud (assuming that's why you needed to do the split).
Slightly less kosher: Burn AUDIO CD's, of the music then copy them back to your new account.
BE sure to do this from original acount, To keep the music info, you'll copy over the CDDB file (in prefs somewhere) - since this maintains the data of CDs that you've had in library.... (it isn't carried over onto a user created CD.)

I just carefully chose 30-35 apps to get rid of via iTunes, hoping it would sync to my devices, only to find I have to repeat the process on my iPad, take notes, then repeat it on my iPhone. This was not helpful in any way and I am still unable to delete apps on my devices in a global, iTunes based way. Each device still requires its own independent process.

Match was off. I made all of the changes and then went through the "Turn on iTunes Match" option. I now have deleted some tracks, edited the Metadata in CDDA, and then added it back. This worked fine, but it is not a good solution.
I just tried making some edits and use the "Update iTunes Match" and that seemed to work. It looks like the real answer is that Match must be up and operational, then you can make changes and run the Update to incorporate the changes. However, if Match has a problem then Signing Out and back in to your store account and going through the process of Turning On Match (were you get the questions, "Add this Computer to Match" will overwrite any changes.
Since this relies on the stability of iTunes, I won't be making a lot of changes between updates.

You won't lose apps that are installed.   You will lose the ability to update them
Business with the App stores is restricted to those stores in your formal country of residence (your billing address) and a bank supported credit card from that same country.   You can buy and update apps with those details only in that country.
If you have established residences and bank supported accounts in other countries you can also use those.   You can buy and update apps in those countries using those details.
You cannot interchange them.   You cannot merge IDs or purchase details.

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck. 1) Congratulations on purchaing an iMac. But an iMac is not considered a laptop.
2) Apps you bought for you iPhone and iPad can interchange with each other, but can NOT run on an Imac or a MacBook.
You will have to buy the same title again from the Mac App Store. When you do, you can run them on your iMac and your MacBook.

If you had a backup either in iTunes or iCloud of the iPad you can restore from it by following this article:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If not you can go into the Purchased section of the App Store App, and download your Purchased Apps from there for free. However their data will not be restored.

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups.
