You can't check this with code that runs on the server or via JavaScript in the web page.
Note that current Firefox version do not expose the built-in PDF Reader via the navigator.plugin array, so if you can't detect a plugin than maybe assume that the built-in PDF reader is used with Firefox version 19 and later.

How can I execute the hyperlink action method when I click on the hyperlink

I have created a hyperlink (hpPopupXML).
1. I set the Target property to New Window.
2. I set the URL to displayXML.jsp
I ran the application and I click on the hyperLink to execute the hpPopupXML_action() method and it does not.
Is there a way to force execution the hpPopupXML_action() when I click on my hyperLink (hpPopupXML);

Dynamic Page Navigation
The Page Navigation editor enables you to specify navigation rules that map user actions and decision logic outcome to destination pages. You can use the component's action property to create the action handler.

How can I make the default action for Real Player (etc.) to be not to play?

While browsing with Mozilla, I would prefer not to have videos play unless I start the video. This goes for commercials or any video.
Is there a preference to set this? If not, can you make one that does that?

By default plugins.click_to_play should be default set to true. However, please also contact Apple support to make sure that this is expected.

The sample form posted to Acrobat.com was a revision of the sample form that came with Acrobat 4.0. There are some fairly advance scripts, templates, and document level functions involved with this form.

How can I prevent the open/save file confirmation window popup ? Mine is currently set for "always do this action" but I still get the popup.

Whenever I "export" a QIF file from my bank I get a File Action confirmation window popup. I have the correct application selected and I have it selected to "open" and "always do this action" but the popup always pops.
I have checked the applications tab and the correct application is selected.
How can I prevent the confirmation popup window please ?

I have deleted the rdf file but no difference. I still get the opening file box popup.
From the resetting download actions link. Both lines in the about:config are missing.
I have also tried switching the download option for the qif file to use a csr file but that also opens the confirmation box.

Well, I'm not really that familiar with using video in flash,
but from what I understand of what you are going for, these are my
suggestions:
If the code within your button has scope of the variable you
are testing for:

In a real-world application, no.
In a RW application, a typical need is merely to know the "logical role" of the button (i.e., the button that validates the form, regardless of whether its text is "OK" or "Save", "Go",...). Text tends to vary much more than the structure of the UI over time.
In this case you can get the source's name (+getName()+), which will be the name that you've set to the button at UI construction time. Or you can compare the source for equality with either button ( +if evt.getSource()==okButton) {...}+ ).
All in all, I think the best solution is: don't use the same ActionListener for more than one action (+i.e.+ don't add the same ActionListener to all your buttons, which leads to a big if-then-else series in your actionPerformed() ).
Eventually, if you're listening to a single button's actions, whose text change over time (e.g. "pause"/"resume" in a VCR bar), I still think it's a bad idea to rely on the text of the button - instead, this text corresponds to a logical state (resp. playing/paused), it is more maintainable to base your logic on the state - which is more resilient to the evolutions of the UI (e.g. if you happen to use 2 toggle buttons instead of one single play/pause button).

The structure that I receive have this format:
