How can i create a jar executable archive

I could not find the way to create an executable archive from Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 .
I have an application and a project with many packages that i want to archive.
If somebody could help please .

Well i red somewhere that It is also possible to make an archive that can be executed (run) by Java and even by a double click through your OS, if you have it set up correctly and that is what i want to do , a jar file which embraces all my packages and run a specified Main class.

Get to the command prompt
change directories to the directory where the main class resides.
Open your text editor and type the following in it:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: NameOfMainClass //Just name without ".class"!!!
Created-By: Your Name Here
Save this file as whatever you want to name it with ".mf" as the extension.
Then go back into the command prompt and type the following:
jar cfm "NameOfJarFile".jar "NameOfManifestFile".mf *.class
(without the quote marks of course)
Hit "Enter"
This will jar it up and make it executable.
If you have any images associated with the program you can add them in the same way as above. Just add *.gif or *.jpg after the *.class portion.

First you will need to associate .jar files with the javaw.exe program in order to just be able to double click on the jar and run it from within a windows explorer application. Next you will need to set the main class attribute of the manifest file. My understanding is that the value of this attribute is used by the launcher to know which class to load. In other words, which is your main application class. To specify this attribute open your manifest file in a text editor. You will find this file located within the jar at META-INF/MANIFEST.MF. Then, add the line,
"Main-Class:<relative path to the main class>" However, remember not to add the .class extension to the end of the class name.
In Windows 2000 you can associate jar files with javaw by finding a jar file in Windows Explorer and right clicking it. This will give you a context menu which should have an Open With... option (if you are not using Windows 2000 and don't see the 'open with' menu item, try holding down the shift button while right click on the file). Select the Open With... option, then, when the dialog appears highlight javaw and select the "Always use this program to open these files" checkbox. When you hit the OK button you should have all your jar files associated with the javaw process.
Once you've done this, you should be able to double click on your jar file and run your application.

I'm a java programmer since 4 years, but it's the first real desktop application I develop (always build web apps).
I've developed an application that connect to a DB using the mysql java driver
I've pachaged all in a jar that is structured like this:
agenzia.jar
Agenzia\
Agenzia.class (the startup class)
application classes
mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin.jar
and in the manifest I add this 2 lines:
Main-Class: agenzia.Agenzia
Class-Path: mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin.jarthe program works fine on my PC, but when I copy the jar in another PC it gives me a ClassNotFoundException not loading the mysql driver...I mean I can see the UI, but when I connect to the DB it gives me the error... I run the program double-clicking on the filename (in windows)
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

I've also noticed that if I take the mysqldriver out of the jar, put it in the same dir as the agenzia.jar everything works fine.

the RMS(Record Management Store).
So, the steps you have to follow are:
1. Open your resource file.
2. Open The Record Store and create a record store for your application.
3. Read the information from your resource file and put it in your record store.
4. Close the file and the record store.
By doing this you create an alias of the file in the record store and you can read/write/modify it.
You can search the internet for a better solution but you will not find it.

I'm looking to create an application prototype that creates a database dynamically and can delete it programatically. Is openDatabase/removeDatabase what I'd want to use for that?
So far, the Direct Persistence Layer is an amazing piece of technology and has the potential to make my team's application faster than we every though possible, so kudos to the author.
I've built a high-security application using the DPL and a single database for hundreds millions of users. I'd like to attempt to create a database for each user for security and manageability purposes. Our mission statement doesn't allow us to execute queries for sensitive data across more than one user account at a time, so I don't get any benefit from having every user's objects in a single database. I'm investigating if giving each user their own database will speed up insert times and SecondaryIndex queries. It'll certainly be more secure as each database will be encrypted with a unique password.
My design is that I have an app with dozens of com.sleepycat.persist.model.Entity beans which I persist and query on their Primary and secondary indexes. I've been accessing things through an EntityStore as illustrated in the Getting Started Guide. Can I access a database created with openDatabase through an EntityStore and com.sleepycat.persist.PrimaryIndex?

If it's the latter then you need to make the jar file including a manifest.
The manifest can be just a txt file with its content to be something like this:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.7.1
Created-By: Somebody
Main-Class: NameOfTheMainClass

X-COMMENT: Main-Class will be added automatically by buildTo make the jar file including the manifest, use something like this in your command prompt (of course you must have compiled your java file(s) first):
jar cfm test.jar MANIFEST.txt NameOfTheMainClass.classAfter that you'd be able to run your application just by double clicking it.
If you're a NetBeans user, you can build your standalone application by right-clicking your project and then going to properties => run => and choosing a Main class. After that right click on that project and "Clean and Build", locate the jar file in the "dist" folder and double click it =]

I need to apply the note 501905 but when I try in the SNOTE transacction I receive this error:
Object REPS Z_MRM_DELETE_PP does not exist; create it
Diagnosis
The SAP Note that you want to implement contains changes to an object that does not yet exist in your system.
SAP Notes contain only changes to objects that already exist. This means that the the system cannot automatically create new objects during the implementation of this SAP Note.
Procedure
1. Cancel the SAP Note implementationl.
2. Create an empty object REPS Z_MRM_DELETE_PP with the corresponding object editor.
3. Restart the SAP Note implementation.
How can I create that Object??

It says that you have to create a new program with a name Z_MRM_DELETE_PP.
Once you create and activate the program you can execute the SAP Note.
All this processure will be written in the SAP Note.
Please Go through the Note using below:
Step1: Use T.code SNOTE.
Step2: Use menu GOTO --> NOTE BROWSER. Provide the Note no and EXECUTE.
Step3: Double click on the displayed line.
Here you will get the information to do before implementing the note.
Go through all the documentation, and once you did all the development given in the note then you can implement the note.

A view is a stored query. It gets executed at run time. A view does not occupy any physical space in the database (other than the insignificant amount of space required to store the query in the data dictionary).
A materialized view actually materializes the results of a query in a separate table structure, so it consumes physical space in the database. It also has to be refreshed at some interval, either synchronously with DML or asynchronously on a set interval.

You can either export the WSDL in a sbconfig.jar and then import this sbconfig.jar in the new domain. Then you can create a new Proxy in new domain based on the WSDL you imported.
Alternatively, you can open the WSDL in the old domain, copy the text content of WSDL, then open new domain sbconsole and create a new WSDL type resource and paste the content you copied from old domain WSDL here. Then you can create a new Proxy Service based on this WSDL resource you created.
Although, may I ask why do you need to create this new Proxy Service on a different domain? If you want to create a service similar to existing Proxy Service on different domain, then you can export the existing proxy service along with any dependencies to a sbconfig.jar and them import them in any other domain.
If you want your new Proxy Service to invoke the existing Proxy on different domain, then you need to create a Business Service in the new domain (calling domain) which can invoke your existing Proxy service in other domain.
