How can I detect an error on a single FP analog channel?

Hello! I am new to the world of LabVIEW, maybe someone can help me. I need to detect if ONE of the analog channels in FP-AI-100 is in error state, such as reading out of range. I have no access to working FP modules and have no way of testing my code. Could someone tell me if what I am trying to do is possible? I modified an example Analog Input.vi and wondering if it will work. I changed the input to Read block to read only one channel, not the whole module and examining the error status bit. Will this status bit display error only for selected channel or for the whole module? I need to ignore all other channels.

I do not have LV 7.1 loaded so I can not look at your VI. Please post an image if you want me to look.
In theory, checking the boolean should work in finding error cluster that have the boolean set.
THe complication is this.
I have seen that some of the error codes returned by FP reads will either have or not have their booleans set depending on which version of the FP code you are using.
I saw in LV 6.1 that an "open RTD" (if memory serves me correctly) would return a true boolean if LV 6.1 was the latest version of LV loaded. After another engineer used LV 6.1 after he had loaded LV 7.0 the error boolean was no longer set!
THe definition of boolean set or not set from one version to the next!
So...
I must advise that you test each
type of error you want to support in your code with whatever version of code you plan to use to ensure the boolean will be set.

I am using a CASE with several WHEN clauses on one field. Depending on the
value, an IF is integrated. There I look into another field evaluating, if it contains
a certain string. E.g. IF STRING CP 'xyz' OR 'abc'.
System gives error for the locigal expression. I also tried CS, but same error.
How can I detect a certain text within a field and which is the right logical
expression.

It sounds like you are getting this error message that your iPod cannot be read from or written to when you are trying to update your iPod Nano. It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

Several solutions:
You can write a procedure or a function in that package that returns a Boolean and/or an error message.
You can also, in your package, raise the RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(), then trap this error in the Forms calling code, via the DBMS_ERROR_CODE and DBMS_ERROR_TEXT variables.

There were 273 photos in the event syncing from my Mac, but only the last 103 made it to the ipad. Most of the photos were taken by an iphone. I would appreciate any thoughts or insights - thanks.

That error message suggests the photo is somehow corrupt.
Do you have the Apple Camera Connection Kit? You can set up a USB thumb drive with MS-DOS FAT-32 format and copy your photos to it into a folder named DCIM. Assuming they have an 8 character plus suffix name, the iPad will recognize them and give you the option of transferring them via the Kit's USB adapter.
Once they are transferred, you can find out if there is a problem with any.

How can I detect a dialog and respond?

I'm having trouble doing something that's probably not that hard. I'm trying to "Print to PDF" a bunch of old AppleWorks documents. When you open a document created in AppleWorks v6 it opens right up, but when you open a document created in AppleWorks 5 you get a dialog box that says, "This document was created by a previous version of AppleWorks. A copy will be opened and "[v6.0]" will be added to the filename."
Right now I open the file and then:

        activate
        repeat while not (exists front document)

        end repeat
end tell
When the dialog box pops up, there's no front document so the whole thing freezes until you hit OK. How can I detect this dialog box and dismiss it?

Hello Everyone,
We all know whenever we try to connect to a PC which is not on network, we get UnKnownHostException etc..... by which we can detect that the corresponding PC is not an network(intranet/internet)
But when i send a msg from my PC to my PC, it works fine even if the network is down. I hv provided my PC's IP address instead of using localhost or 127.0.0.1 which reduces the possibility that the msg will not be traversed thru the network.
Any IDEA how this works.
Is There any possible way by which i can detect that my PC is not on network or the PC to which i'm trying to connect is not on network .......
Pls help me out, its really urgent as to be implemented in my Project

I have developed a Messeging Service for the eCRM Apllication my company is developing and we r in the final stage of debugging.
Now whenever a user sends a msg to a PC which is not on network, the messaging service automatically sends an Offline mssg to that PC. But know i want ot distinguish wheather the PC to which i'm sending the msg is not on network or am I not on network based on this i need to perform diff. actions, hence i wanted to know that how can i detect .......

If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

OSX sometimes places 31 character limit on file names. How can I get this error to stop?

This error notice doesn't make sense, since many of my file names exceed 31 char. This error message pops up when saving documents, esp. web pages. As a consequence, OSX will refuse to let me save the file, until I shorten the name and so remove informative identifying features of the file name. But most of the time, OSX is perfectly happy to save files with names longer than 31 char. How can I get this error notice and block to turn off?

I have also seen this issue it occurs regularly when transferring word documents files from my Macbook Pro running OSX 10.5.8 to my iMac running 10.9.4.
My iMac HD should be formatted to factory standards as well since I have not mucked around with it since I bought it.

What makes you think there is a "virus"? Any symptoms...?
There are other types of malware (such as trojans) that can affect Mac OS X, but no viruses. A trojan would have to trick you into installing something (the malware) by making you think it is something else. You would be notified (by the system) that you are running a downloaded application for the first time, AND if something will be done to update your current system, you will be asked to authenticate (with your admin user name and password). If something like that comes up when you don't expect it, you should be suspicious (and NOT authenticate). Just opening an email won't do anything, even if it's an email that may affects Windows PCs.
