How can I display records dynamically in forms?

Hi Friends,
I want to display the number of records in the form dynamically. Suppose the back-end table is having only 5 records means it should display 5 records. If any new records is inserted later then it should show 6 records. It should display 10 records at a time with a scroll bar in case if a table is having more records.
The best example is Data Grid in VB. The same kind of mechanism I want to provide in my form. How can I do that?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Why not have number or records displayed as the number that best fits the space and then if less come back the scrollbar is disabled, and if more come back the scrollbar is enabled?

How can you display a dynamically loaded vi to the Web Server?

I am working with LabView 6.1 and the Web Server. I can call a subvi and have it display on a remote machine using a browser with no problem. But what I would like to do is dynamically load and run a vi and have it display on the remote computer using only a browser. I have tried a small example of a front panel that invokes the run vi method (and fp.open prop) on another vi when a button is pressed, but the invoked vi is displayed only on the local computer. Is there any way of viewing dynamically loaded vi's on a remote machine without having a copy of LabView running on it?

If i understand your question correctly, you want to monitor vi that are dynamically loaded on a remote machine without having LabVIEW installed on the machine from witch you want the monitor. I don't think it's possible how ever a good reference book would be Internet applications in LabVIEW. You can find it on BARNES&NOBLE.

thanks for the reply. What i meant was like for example in this example:
int)(99*Math.random())+1
I want that numbers frm 1-9 be displayed as 01, 02, ...09, the rest normal,
so basically instead showing lets say 6 it should display 06, but if number is 45 it should display like 45 and not 045

the label for which is dynamicaly generated through a SQL Select.
( &P1_ANSWER1. P1_ANSWER1 is the hidden item name)
In the Region Source,
I have put

for each of the reqion that contains these items,
Here the table is prototype and P1_QUESTION_NO is the hidden item.
As directed I have included under Processes (after submit and computations) on button "Next Record" clicked:

When I am doing this, the label seems to blank out.

Preparing the table for sorting settings
We have two important points to tell about this topic. First one is that, be ready for a short dump if any one of the fields given to be sorted is not in the content of the field catalog. Secondly, when you make ALV Grid to sort data, by default it vertically merges fields having the same content. To avoid from this for all of the columns, you can set no_merging field of the layout structure to X. If you want to disable merging for just some columns, set no_merging field of the field catalog row corresponding to that column.
You can get and set sort criteria applied whenever you want by using methods get_sort_criteria and set_sort_criteria, respectively.

2. when creating the LOV assign the DEPT_NAME FROM DEPT table to that displayed item and u have also to assign the Dept No selected to the Dept No in the emp block
To populate or display DEPT_NAME after Query - the If i got ur problem then - u need to cretae a Post-Query Trigger then use the following...

How can I display contacts in a relationship

I have companies in my CRM. I have a customers/contacts in the CRM I have tied as a relationship with each companies. How can I display all the records/contacts associated with a company? I have a already created a secure zone, so the company user would have logged in. Is this possible? If not, any workaround?
The only workaround I thought of is to use webapp to import the company data and create another web app containing the employees data. Then link both tables/webapp using datasource. But the way the client's data is structured could create a lot of problems going forward.
Any suggestion, help will be appreciated

The relationship feature and how companies work currently in BC is really limited. It is an association and not true relationships at the moment. You cant output a company and show all its relationships at the moment.

I have a master-detail form. In the detail block, I have several records. Here is my name table.

I would like to create a button trigger which shall perform the following:
1) insert a record into database with a copy of current value. In the above case it will insert create a record for John as name_type = 'OLD'. So we have total of 5 records. Commit the transaction.
2) Scroll through my detail records (5) and go to one specific record and erase the values from it. In the above case, it should find John's record with name_type = 'Current' and erase John from it.

Simple, using current values you can create new id , 'old' and name so oracle will create record, now refresh block, next using next_record in loop you can find record,erase one and refresh block.

You should be able to findout NULL using isnull([object]) function.. at report layer..
Try with the below formula which should work for you

How can I display the vendor associated with result of my running total sum

I have a report that lists vendors with their most vecent order dates. I need to set up a rotation so that the vendor with the latest order date is next to be selected. I used the running total summary to pick the latest date. How can I display the vendor associated with result of my running total summary?

If your "latest" order date means the "oldest" order date, why don't you try this:
Go to Report tab -> Record Sort Expert -> Choose your order date in ascending order
This will make your oldest order your first record shown.
You can then create a running total count for each record.
Lastly, in your section expert under conditional suppress X+2 formula, write this:
{#CountRecords}>1
The result will only show the oldest record in your report.
