How can I execute a existing source code in visual studio 2012?
My friend sent me a mini project(ASP.Net) through mail in a zipped folder. I extracted it and it contains source code and databases. I don't know how to execute it in visual studio 2012. I read that I can do it by choosing Project from existing code option
from the file menu.But I don't find the option.Kindly help me how to execute that project which I received through mail in visual studio 2012.
In case of ASP Web Sites, which do not require solution and project files, go to FILE
à Open
à Web Site, then select the folder from File System.
If nothing work, then perhaps you do not have the required version of Visual Studio. Then give more details or clarify it with your friend. The database probably requires some preparation steps too.

INDIAJSP and Servlets are programs/scripts that run on the server. The user/clients only sees the HTML output generated by the server. If you want to hide JavaScript from casual users then you can put the JavaScript code in a seperate file. This file can however be read from the Cache. -
How can I download the full source code for the Java 3D package
how can I download the full source code for javax.media.j3d
especially I need the Transform3D.java class.
thanks a lot
Meirthank you guys I'll try to do so, I suggest you to
join me.From the one of the (ex-!)Java3D team:
"I'm glad to see that Sun has decided to officially support an
open source Java/OpenGL binding, JOGL. Perhaps they will
eventually decide to make Java 3D open source. However, be
careful what you wish for. The Java 3D source is huge and
complex. There are native sections for Solaris, Windows/OpenGL,
and Windows/Direct3D, plus common code. I don't know how you'd
open source a build process that requires different pieces of
the code be built on different machines running different
operating systems."
Sounds scary - I hope we're ready for it :) -
How can I get the XSLT source code?
How can I get the XSLT source code?
Actually, I want to parse customer reviews for academic purpose.
I'm trying to follow the links in the customer reviews zone.
For example:
In the following page
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B000LU8A7E/sr=1-1/qid=1180473311/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_helpful/102-2890495-8864146?ie=UTF8&n=1065836&qid=1180473311&sr=1-1#customerReviews
in the "customer reviews" section, there is a link "next" that gets the next 10 reviews.
The thing is that I don't know how to imitate its action using java and actually, I'm not sure if it is possible to do that using software.
I tried to look at the source code that I got using the previous java code I posted and I see that the next link always has the following href attributes "http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B000LU8A7E"
I tried to see if there is any javascript that tells the page which 10 reviews to get but with no success.
So if anyone knows how to imitate the next link action using software that will sure help me a lot.
Thanks in advance -
I am fairly new to this whole process of working with the Microsoft development environment. Here is what I have to work with:
an NT server running Microsoft SQL 2012 - Microsoft SQL Server Standard (64-bit) 11.0.2100.60
and on my laptop (all freebie downloads):
SQL Server Management Studio 2012 ver 11.0.2100.60
Visual Studio 2012 Express for Desktop Development and
Visual Studio 2012 Shell (Integrated)
I was able to create an SSIS package in
2012 Shell (Integrated). It takes a flat file and imports it into an SQL database table. It runs successfully from within the
2012 Shell (Integrated) envrionment.
But I am having trouble figuring out how to set this up on the 2012 SQL Server. I see that one of my colleagues created an Integration Services Catalog,
and using SQL Management Studio I was able to create a folder under that called DigLic. But when I go to the Projects subfolder of DigLic and attempt to import my SSIS package, I get an error message:
"To launch the Integration Services Deployment wizard, one of the components: Integration Services, Management Tools - Basic or Business Intelligence Development Studio has to be installed by the SQL Server
2012 Standard, Enterprise, Developer, or Evaluation Edition. To install a component, run SQL Server Setup and Select the component name"
I realize that Express Versions of Visual Studio lack the full feature set of a professional version. But am I wrong in assuming that owning a server version of SQL Server 2012 gives us license to a professional
version of SQL Management Studio 2012? If so, how would I go about getting this software component installed? And I am not clear if this is something that needs to be installed on our SQL Server or if I simply need a professional version of SSMS
loaded on my laptop.
I work for a company that is fairly fractured in its repsonsibilities, so I would need to know exactly what to ask for if I need to track down any licenses that I might need and if I need to have any specific software installed on our SQL server or on my
laptop.
All helpt would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!Arthur,
Thank you for your reply. But at this point, one of my points of confusion is what software I have available to me. I wish I had a useful central help desk to call up and just say, "Hey, load me up with all of the professional version(s) of Visual
Studio. But I do not know what we have license to. And I kind of need to know what the options are, so that I can ask a specific question of our vast buracracy.
For now, I have downloaded only free versions of Visual Studio client software. Since my company does have servers running Microsoft SQL Server, I am going to assume that we have proper licensing for those servers. But does that server license
allow me to get any professional versions of the PC client software for the various Visual Studio(s) 2012?
And if I get a professional version of Visual Studio 2012, does that do away with the three different flavors that I have right now? I have 2012 versions of SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Express, and Visual Studio Shell (Integrated).
Your feedback is much appreciated.

Hi,
According to your description, it seems like VS itself problem, you can try to repair this program through Control Panel for test. If no use, it would be better to post your question at VS forum for further assistance.

How can I debug a DLL created with MS Visual Studio C++ using CVI?
I have developed a DLL using MS Visual Studio C++, which is called by an other application written in CVI.
My goal is to debug the DLL written with C++ when is called from CVI.
So far I have some msg popups, but I would like to have more debugging capabilities.
Thanks, AdalbertHello Adi11,
As documented in the CVI Help under "Debugging DLLs": "In the LabWindows/CVI development environment, you can debug only DLLs you create in LabWindows/CVI with the Create Debuggable Dynamic Link Library command. Other development environments cannot debug DLLs you create in LabWindows/CVI."
This information was also mentioned on the following discussion forum.
Thanks.

Any help would be great.
I need to programmatically send the token to the webservice and initiate request and response accordingly
Thanks in advance.Hi Shawn,
Thanks for your help. I am still struggling. There is a Binary security token element which will contain the public version of the certificate,
with the certificate itself sent along as base64 encoded data.
Below is my code, if you can suggest:
ClientSection clientSection = ClientSection)WebConfigurationManager.GetSection("system.serviceModel/client");
ChannelEndpointElement endpoint = clientSection.Endpoints[0];
string endpointStr = string.Format("Address: {0}; BindingConfiguration: {1}; Contract: {2}", endpoint.Address.ToString(), endpoint.BindingConfiguration, endpoint.Contract);
EndpointAddress remoteAddress = new EndpointAddress(endpoint.Address.ToString());
NotificationServiceClient client = new NotificationServiceClient(endpoint.BindingConfiguration, remoteAddress);
X509Store store = new X509Store(StoreName.Root, StoreLocation.LocalMachine);
store.Open(OpenFlags.ReadOnly);
X509Certificate2 cert = new X509Certificate2();
for (int i = 0; i < store.Certificates.Count; i++)
if (store.Certificates[i].Subject == "E=[email protected], CN=collab-dev.aero.bombardier.net, OU=Aerospace, O=Bombardier Inc., L=Montreal, S=Quebec, C=CA")
cert = store.Certificates[i];
//byte[] rawdata = cert.GetRawCertData();
//BinarySecretSecurityToken token = new BinarySecretSecurityToken(rawdata);
X509SecurityToken token = new X509SecurityToken(cert);
client.ClientCredentials.ClientCertificate.Certificate = cert;
// instead of certificate the enoced token needs to be sent.
Any help would be great. I am totally new to wcf.

I see your log and find main errors below:
ExecuteError: Package (vs_expbsln_x64_msi_73) failed: Error Message Id: 25541 ErrorMessage: Error 25541.Failed to open XML file C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\CONFIG\machine.config, system error: -2147024786
Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package.
Error 0x80070643: Failed to execute MSI package.
Error 0x80070643: Failed to configure per-machine MSI package.
Set Result: Return Code=-2147023293 (0x80070643), Error Message=25541, Result Detail=, Vital=True, Package Action=Install, Package Id=vs_expbsln_x64_msi_73
From your error it seems this file C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\ v4.0.30319\CONFIG\machine.config may corrupt. You can see the thread:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/officesetupdeploy/thread/86787c69-5909-4885-843e-b8b977e5cc33
Some person came across the problem, and I recommend you can try the method in the above link:
I ran into the same error numerous times installing Office 2010 on Vista where machine.config was not found. Specifically:
Error 25541. Failed to open XML file
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config, system error: -2147024786
Setup failed. Rolling back
I tried both approaches above and neither worked.
My final solution was simple: there was a file in the directory called machine.config.default. In a DOS box I copied that file to create machine.config.
The office 2010 install worked fine after that "fix".
If that’s cannot solve your problem, you can try to check the integrity of .NET Framework 4.0 on your system:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx
If the .Net Framework corrupt, try use the tool to repair:

I created a project from Windows App Studio then downloaded the source code and modify it. I set all configuration to Release Any CPU. But after rebuilding solutions several times there are no appx or xap package files found. How to create appx package
from windows app studio source code using visual studio 2015?For that right click on the solution folder in Visual Studio, and you would find an option to create App Packages.
Hope this might help!

How can I build an existed project into eclipse IDE?
Hello, all,
I did not use eclipse IDE before. Someone gave me an completed directory which
was a project (including all classes and source code) built by eclipse IDE. I
want to rebuild it into eclipse on my computer. But eclipse only has "new" item
to generate new project, class, etc. How can I rebuild the exist project in
eclipse IDE?
I appreciate your help or any suggestion!
Thanks
JohnEasiest way:
Copy the folder into the Eclipse Workspace folder
Create the "new" project with the same name as that folder.
Eclipse should detect an existing project with the same name, inform you of this, and proceed from there. -
How can I share a *.java source file across multiple projects in NetBeans?
I'm sure this simple and a pretty common operation but how can I share a *.java source file across multiple projects in NetBeans? Right now I keep cut, coping and pasting the same source file between multiple projects to re-use the same code. But I could I make this source file a library file or something like that so that I could access it from any project. I assume this would be a generic operation but I mentioned NetBeans for clarity. Thanks.

I know I mentioned NetBeans but I'm most interested in the generic method for creating a library of source files that I can call into whatever program I am developing. I've done such a thing in C using header files and such but I'm trying to get a direction on how this is accomplished in Java. I'm sorry if I could edit the title I would. If anyone wants to be specific about NetBeans I welcome that too.

Create a class library.
Write your code, compile it to .class files, put those class files in a .jar file and include the jar file in the classpath whenever you want to compile a project against it. -
