My Mac died so I'm now using my brother's old iMac running Mac OS X version 10.5.8.
He didn't give me any disks to do a reinstall so I used a friend's to wipe the data and start new with mine. Unfortunately, I didn't think about all the programs that were on it. I don't can't upgrade to the newest OS X because I'm running too old of a version of OS X.

iLife apps come with your system. If your Mac shipped with any system prior to Lion, it should be on your install disks that shipped with your Mac.
You can use Pacifist to extract and install just that app.
If you lost the disks, that shipped with your Mac call Apple for replacement, give them your serial number and they will send them for a nominal fee.

How did you delete it? (not a silly question)
If all you've done is removed the icon from the Dock, go to the Applications folder, find iPhoto and drag it's icon to the Dock, being careful not to release the mouse until the other icons in there move out of the way for it. (if you release too early, you'll leave the application on the Desktop and will have to drag it back to Applications and try again.)
The icons in the Dock are only aliases, so can be replaced easily.
If on the other hand you've somehow deleted it from the Applications folder, there are two possibilities -
If the trash hasn't been emptied, open it, right click on the iPhoto item and select 'Put Back'.
If the trash has been emptied, you'll need to reinstall it from the software restore disc (disc 2 of the grey discs that came with the Mac), or from the iLife DVD if that's where you installed it from, or if on Lion, I believe you'll need to go the App Store and re-download it (but someone may correct me on that).

There has been a issue with ringtones and apple knows about it and is working on fixing it.
Apple is advising customers not to repurchase ringtones and if you did, just give them a ring and they will refund you.
Until then don't purchase any more ringtones at least until the next update.
You can request a refund by going to the Account section within iTunes on a Mac or PC, or you can get help by chat, or contact Apple Care.

I accidentally deleted iPhoto from my computer a while back (and it's been emptied from my trash since then). I don't have the disks that came with my computer because I lost my mac box while moving. now missing version was, you may be able to buy an iLife
vintage suitable for use in Leopard 10.5.8 & it should work.
+{But the better deal may be to see what a replacement set+

not have to install All of iLife in order to use the iPhoto;
if there isn't a custom install mode to choose single iApps

you still could get only the iPhoto package to install from a

should work in demo mode for free; to extract just the one
item from the install disc & from the Mac's desktop install it.

replacement restore-install DVD for your computer and

I was in the process of formatting my external drive so I could use it as the backup drive for my MacBook Pro. It wanted to format it, so I took my files from the external drive and saved them to the desktop of my computer. updates messed up my iphoto. I guess that is what happened as I didn't do anything to cause it. It happened right after I did an update around the middle of May this year. It just keeps crashing. I think I have iphoto 08 and version 8.1.2. I have tried reinstalling the bundle package on disc that came with the imac but still crashes. What is the solution? I have read many forums and browsed the internet trying to find some kind of solution. I have even thought of buying the Ilife disc on Ebay for that version. Please I have spent way to much time. I brought this imac in 2009 I don't have an ilife disc just the bundle package disc that came with the imac. It didn't seem to work when I reinstalled it. Please advise. This imac is my first one. These are harder to troubleshoot then the PCs. Thanks for any help you can give.

How do I get information back after accidentally deleting an app?

This app had my life on it, and I need the information. My iPod spazzed while I was trying to move a downloading app, and without my consent, deleted it. I had recently backed-up my information on my PC, but there is no way to get the information from the app. I can't open it, or atleast view the data. It would be helpful if I could atleast take photos of what it all said. I really need this.

Did you really delete it intentionally or accidentally? If you accidentally deleted the application from the Applications folder, look if it is still in the Trash and put it back or restore it from your backup.
If you deleted it intentionally and deinstalled it, you need to reinstall it - depending on how it was installed originally, see Terence Devlin's answer here:

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.
