I am not sure if u can patch it, I understand that in 8051 there
is some additional features or packages. What I will do (or try,
not sure if this work.)is down load the whole 8051, run the
installer, let the installer tell me what my current system
contain, and what the new package have and then install the
additional package. Of course I will have to backup my db first.

  • HOW CAN I GET ORACLE DEMO PROJECT, SAMPLE PROJECTS.....

    how can i get oracle sample projects on forms and reports...........
    give me the link so i can download it and look at it how it works
    thanks

    You're looking for Microsoft Access. Try www.microsoft.com.
    Using Oracle Forms requires an Oracle database instance. It is client-server architecture. It is not a matter of merely downloading example-install.exe, installing it, and being on your way looking at "how everything works".
    That is what you are seemingly expecting. And in that case, you do not want to use Oracle. You want to use a mickey mouse little file based database tool like MS Access.

    The OLAP Spreadsheet Addin is a separate tool that you can use with Oracle OLAP. From Discoverer you just export into Excel spreadsheets.

  • How can I get oracle 9.2.0.7 Enterprise edition Database for Solaris?

    Hi, everybody,
    Reccently got involved in a project that require to setup Oracle 9.2.0.7 Enterprise edition Database for Solaris. However from oracle's download page, the only sun platform version for 9i is 9.2.0.1. so to get to 9.2.0.7, do i need to download upgrade patch somewhere? Did anyone go through similar setup before and could you share with me your advice?
    thanks in advance!
    -liang

    Oracle produces media distribution for major releases only, not for patched versions (there has been only a few exceptions). A major release can be determined out from the first three digits, 9.2.0.
    Available versions at otn and edelivery are just major versions, the requiered version 9.2.0.X.X is avalable only through patchsets.
    By the way only a patchset changes the last two digits, if you require a specific individual patch it doesn't change these last two digits and a specific installation procedure is provided.
    Last available patchset for 9iRel2 is 9.2.0.8.0

    You can query the AWR data if your interesting SQL consumes enough resources.
    Here is a SQL*Plus script I call MostCPUIntensiveSQLDuringInterval.sql (nice name eh?)
    You'll need to know the AWR snap_id numbers for the time period of interest, then run it like this to show the top 20 SQLs during the interval:
    @MostCPUIntensiveSQLDuringInterval 20The script outputs a statement to run when you are interested in looking at the plan for an interesting looking statement.
    -- MostCPUintesticeSQLDuringInterval: Report on the top n SQL statements during an AWR snapshot interval.
    -- The top statements are ranked by CPU usage

  • How can I get the username and password from Oracle Forms to PJC !

    Dear Sir,
    I have username,password and push button fields in oracle forms. When user clicks the push button, I need to get username and password field contents to my Pluggable Java Program to authenticate the user trying to login. How can I get those text field contents to my java program..? Looking forward from you soon sir.
    Thanks in Advance,
    S Ramkumar

    I tried that trigger but nothing reflects. I write that method in WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED trigger.
    In the form module I written,
    Set_Custom_Property('BL.USERNAME',1,'NAME','');
    Set_Custom_Property('BL.PASSWORD',1,'PASS','');
    Implementation class of the push button I gave my java class file name.
    In Java Code I tried register the form fields like,
    public static final ID userName = ID.registerProperty("NAME");
    public static final ID passWord = ID.registerProperty("PASS");
    In Java Code I tried get the contents from registered properties,
    public boolean setProperty(ID property, Object value) {
    if(property == userName) {
    System.out.println("Just I wish to see the name entered" + value.toString());
    if(property == passWord) {
    System.out.println("Just I wish to see the pass entered" + value.toString());
    But even System.out.println() is working.
    What's wrong with this code sir ???
    Can you tell me How to register and get those field values in Java ?

    Hi Gaurav,
    Below given link gives a nice demo of integrating web service with OAF. (For using captcha user verification service).
    [http://oracle.anilpassi.com/integrate-oa-framework-with-web-service-2.html]
    However, using web services will cost little extra effort of learning SOAP and wsdl.

  • How Can I get all the values of a DBMS package?

    Hi all
    I'm using this "dbms_output.put_line(DBMS_DB_VERSION.VERSION || '.' ||DBMS_DB_VERSION.RELEASE);" to show the version. But how Can I get the all the values from DBMS_DB_VERSION ? Is there a common way ?
    Thanks .

    Hi,
    Don't think that's possible. Even if it were, you wouldn't be able to use/display BOOLEAN type in SQL.
    If you just aim to see what they are, you could do something like this
    select text
      from all_source
    where owner = 'SYS'
       and name = 'DBMS_DB_VERSION'
       and type = 'PACKAGE';Or even
    select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('PACKAGE', 'DBMS_DB_VERSION', 'SYS') from dual;My version is:
    SQL> select * from v$version where rownum = 1;
