how can i derive the name of the columns in cursor
e.g
suppose I have a cursor
cursor c is select * from emp;
c1 c%rowtype.
for c1 in c
I want to display the name of the column how can I do. i don't
remember the name, but i need it to be displayed tooo.

You can only do this by DESCing the tables in the cursor and
then coding eg. v_no := c1.empno;

Hello Gana,
Actually while exporting the data using Info Spoke, we have the possibility to modify the data that we send. This is possible using transformations.
In your Info Spoke, you have a tab called Transformations.
Here you need to create an implementation and then use BADi to populate data.
Check if you can write a start routine sort of thing here and insert a new record into the internal table by hardcoding with your field headings.
Let me know if you dont know how to create transformations.

How can we get the actual table name for an argument if its datatype is %ROWTYPE.
For Ex :
function ACCOUNT_UPDATE (account_no number,
person person%rowtype,
amounts dbms_describe.number_table,
trans_date date)

In the above function 'ACCOUNT_UPDATE', for argument person the datatype is 'person%rowtype'.
Is there any way to get the name from Data Dictionary tables.
I tried using All_Arguments and DBMS_DESCRIBE, I can able to get all the individual fields of %ROWTYPE by I could not able to know the exact table name thru the DD.
my requirement is dynamically I need to declare a variable for the argument datatype.

this is the easiest way to find the tablename of a particular field.
t.code:XD01.
enter.
select the kunnr field.
press F1.
the top of the screen u will get 'Technical setting icon.
select that one.then u will get tablename,fieldname,parameter id also.

How can I get the address book to sort by "Last" name (using v 31.3.0).

After a computer crash, I had to load Thunderbird (v31.3.0) back into my machine running Windows 8.1, and I successfully imported my address book back up file into Thunderbird (v31.3.0).
My problem is that I don't see an option to sort the address book by "Last" name, which was available with the version of Thunderbird I had before the crash.
How can I get the address book to sort by "Last" name?

In 'Address Book'
Select address book
'View' > 'Show name as' > 'Last/First'
The you can sort by Name.
Either click on 'Name' column header to change sort order,
If reversed, then click on 'Name' column header again to reverse the order.
Or
'View' > 'Sort By' > choose 'Name' and 'Ascending'

I have defined a new web item but I can't retrieved parameter of my webitem in the RENDER method for instance. I have declared a parameter in the RSRRENDERATR table like this :
REN_NAME : MY_WEBITEM
ATR_NAME : MY_PARAM
ATR TYP : TEXT
CHR MAX LEN : 50
How can I do this ? How can I get the MY_PARAM value in the RENDER method ?

logging info. How can I get the servers name?
When I load the JNDI tree and select java:comp, an error occurs and a lot of information
is printed. One is weblogic.Server and that is what I´m searching for.
I use WLS 6.1 SP1

To access pseudo columns you can specify an alias or use the index on the column (e.g. getInt(1)).

Easiest way to find all IPs would be to scan the network. Ping every possible IP in the network and all IPs that replied to the ping exist.
Since I don't know how to do a ping in Java, I would scan for some Ports used by OS Services.
Since I don't know which ports are used by windows, I think you should look for a ping class (or library).
Scanning all ports for every IP in a class C network shouldn't take too long. And after finding one port you don't have to try the other ports for that IP, since it has to be online ;)

Enter the command up to the point of entering the file path and add a space, then drag the file into the terminal window. It will fill out the path.
If you need to go further into the contents of the Application package, you can continue with /Contents...
Another way is to start typing and then hit Tab to auto-complete. It will stop where it can't determine the next letter.
So, type /App tab and it will fill in /Applications. Type a / and start with the name of the app, then tab and it should complete. Continue till you have the correct path.
Spaces will be replaced with \<space>, so, App Store would end up as /Applications/App\ Store.app
