How can I implement parallel processing feature in Oracle 9i?

I need to load (and transform) millions of data from Table1 to Table2. How can I speed the process using parallel processing. The server has 4 processors (running on Win2k Advanced server).
Can anyone guide me what are the exact steps required to enable parallel loading. I've already partitioned Table1 into 4 parts.

insert /*+ PARALLEL(8) */ into table A select * from table B ;
or alter table A parallel 8 ;
or alter session enable parallel dml ;

I agree with everything Seif and Louw said, but I'd like to add that if you are using SQL Server 2012 or 2014 and you want to use DirectQuery or ROLAP mode (depending on what SSAS mode are you using, tabular or multidimensional) you may be interested on
using columnar indexes on your base tables.
Analytical and aggregated queries will take GREAT advantage from these indexes, they will perform much better than with traditional B-Tree indexes in most of your scenarios.

say i use expdp dumpfile=test_%U.dmp parallel=5 ..
Each parallele process writing to its related output file.. i want to know the mapping in run time...

I'm not sure if this information is reported in the status command but it's worth a shot. You can get to the status command 2 ways:
if you are running a datapump job from a terminal window, then while it is running, type ctl-c and you will get the datapump prompt. Either IMPORT> or EXPORT>
IMPORT> status
If you type status, it will tell you a bunch of information about the job and then each process. It may have dumpfile information in there.
If you run it interactively, then you need to attach to the job. To do this, you need to know the job name. If you don't know, you can look at sys.dba_datapump_jobs if prived, or sys.user_datapump_jobs if not prived. You will see a job name and a schema name. Once you have that, you can:
expdp user/password attach=schema.job_name
This will bring you to the EXPORT>/iMPORT> prompt. Type status there.
Like I said, I'm not sure if file name information is specified, but it might be. If it is not there, then I don't know of any other way to get it.

So, before user start the SFC of MA1 at OP1, system can display the config values(100~120) for user reference, then, user need to input the real temperature when process the SFC, if it's out of spec, system can warning. System will collect the input data for analysis in future.

Since customer prefer to use a custom UI which can communicate with SAPME by web service.
So I can not use SAPME default data collection or work instruction user interface.
I'm considering by using data collection and work instruction config data to develop a web service in MII and poblish to custom UI in which it can display the spec data and reject user's input if out of spec.

The current SOA palette in JDeveloper doesn't provide any Timer action.
This would be very useful to have. Is the Oracle SOA team planning to implement a timer control in JDeveloper?

I think that in this release you need to implement a timer by yourself. You can use Quartz, the EJB Timer, or the OC4?J scheduler, or an external scheduler.
I think that in future releases there is a plan to add such a feature, but I'm not sure.

You can turn that feature off in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Contacts>Show in App Switcher>Recents>Off.

How can I remove the shuffle feature from my nano? I apparently "shook" it and now it is on shuffle. I can go to settings and remove the shake feature but I can't seem to restore my playing options to a generic loop instead of the shuffle. Help!

chelseafromco: I had the same problem and had an awful time before finding a clear explanation of the solution. Forget the iPod nano 6Gen manual, p. 21; it doesn't tell you how to turn the feature off, just how to turn it on. Not all of us like randomizing our playlists. APPLE: PUT UP AN ARTICLE EXPLAINING SIMPLY HOW TO DO THIS. Meanwhile, here's what worked for me:
1. Go to the "Now Playing" icon and tap the "Play" arrow in the center.
2. On the touch screen that comes up (you'll see an eighth-note graphic with the song title superimposed at the top, a Play/Pause button in the middle, and "Reverse" and "Forward" buttons on either side of that), swipe your finger to the left (not to the right).
3. This touch screen will have a "Repeat" symbol with two arrows like a snake eating its tail on the left and another symbol on the right that shows two arrows pointing to the right. This is the "Shuffle" symbol. Touch the Shuffle symbol so it's white, not blue. White means that Shuffle is off.
4. To make sure you won't accidentally turn Shuffle on, which you can do by giving the iPod a shake, go to the main Settings icon, cick it and select "Music," then press "Shake to Shuffle" until the button next to it says "Off" (white, not blue).

Hi Ray,
The highest frequency input we offer for C Series modules is 20 MHz if you are doing LVTTL and 10 MHz for 5 V TTL. These modules are the 9402 and 9401, respectively. Unfortunately, there is no 80 MHz input on this form-factor.

How to model a parallel process in BPML

I've just started using BPML to model a process for CAF. In the process, there will be a block of steps that will have to be repeated for a list of employees, in parallel.
I want to model the parallel process in a BPML diagram; I've had a look through some introductory texts, but cannot see a way that I can represent a parallel process. Also, the exact number and identity of the employees is unknown at run time.
Can anybody help with this?

Ulrike - I would do this in the SQL statement (there may be other ways).
Presumably START_AFA and ND are table columns?
Presumably you've also created the GETANZGJMONATE function?
So, something like this should work (this also assumes that START_AFA is of a DATE type - you'll need the TO_DATE call if not):
SELECT COL1
, COL2
, START_AFA
, ND
, GETANZGJMONATE (START_AFA, ND, :P302_GJ)
from TABLE
where ...
Can't remember if you have to grant any particular execute permissions on the function ('grant execute on GETANZGJMONATE to public', for example) when you call it from SQL on a page, but you could try that if the function call fails.
Depending on what's in :P302_GJ and what the function parameter data type is, you might need to use the '&P302_GJ.' syntax or TO_NUMBER etc.
