How can I know records is committed or un-committed
Hi Guys
Insert one record into DB without issue commit immediately, At same session,Another segment program,Using SQL or PL/SQL, How can I know records is committed or un-committed
Thanks

A session can never see another session's uncommitted rows. Oracle provides read consistency. This basically means that when your session starts to read data, at time1, Oracle provides you with "the truth" (committed rows) as it exists, at time1. Let's call this version 20 of the data.
Another session can change data. Commit. It can create new versions of the data. However, this does not impact what your session reads. It sees the rows as they were at time1 when your session started to read them. Your session reads version 20, irrespective if whether version 25 is currently the latest version of the data.
So there are no dirty reads in Oracle - and no way for your session to see the dirty and uncommitted data of another session. Or vice versa.
Of course, if you make changes in your session, then your session will see those uncommitted changes.
Read up on Multi-Version Concurrency Control (MVCC) and Multiversion Read Consistency (Oracle® Database Concepts guide).

How can i delete Record when i click on Delete Link.Manoj,
If something does not work then you should report back on the same thread so that there is continuity to the whole episode. Be as lucid as you can be so that people know whats the scenario. E.g. is not working is not enough. What happens? Does is show error , go blank, goes to another page... all that is important.
Its for posterity, down the line others will also visit the thread (may be).

How can I know the size of DB Table
Hi, Guys,
1. How can I know the size of the DB Table in terms of kb
2. If I delete some records from the Table, does the actual size of the Table remains same or will it be reduced.
3. If size remains same after deletion, how to reduce the size ( i.e. occupied space).
thanks
MaheshHi
1. How can I know the size of the DB Table in terms of kb
There is no precise method/tcode/program to know the Table size of a tables.
Just based on the record size of a table(say for example 2kb), and if 200 records are there then, we roughly assume that it occupied 400 kb.
All the tables are stored in Table spaces.
2. If I delete some records from the Table, does the actual size of the Table remains same or will it be reduced.
Time being it remains same. it won't get reduced immediately
during some next DB reorganisation it gets reorganised by reducing it.
3. If size remains same after deletion, how to reduce the size ( i.e. occupied space).
during next DB reorganisation it gets reorganised by reducing it.

How can i fetch records from 3 tables in a single query without using join
Hi.
Can any body please tell me <b>How can i fetch records from 3 tables with a single query without using joins</b>
Thanx
prabhuduttaHi Prabgudutta,
We can fetch the data by using the views concept.
Go throuth this info we can know the how to create view and same like database table only we can fetch the data.
Views conatin the data at runtime only.
Four different view types are supported. These differ in the
way in which the view is implemented and in the methods
permitted for accessing the view data.
Database views are implemented with an equivalent view on
the database.
Projection views are used to hide fields of a table (only
projection).
Help views can be used as selection method in search helps.
Maintenance views permit you to maintain the data
distributed
on several tables for one application object at one time.
step by step creation of Maintenance view:
With the help of the table maintenance generator, you are able to maintain the ENTRIES of the table in SM30 transaction.
It can be set in transaction SE11 - Tools - Table maintenance generator.
Table maintanance Generator is used to manually input values using transaction sm30
follow below steps
1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under attributes tab
2) utilities-table maintanance Generator-> create function group and assign it under
function group input box. Also assign authorization group default &NC& .
3) select standard recording routine radio in table table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning it to request.
4) select maintaience type as single step.
5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers this dialog box appears when you click on create button
6) save and activate table
One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator
Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.
Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.
SM30 is used for table maintenance(addition or deletion of records),
For all the tables in SE11 for which Table maintenance is selected , they can be maintained in SM30
Sm30 is used to maintain the table ,i.e to delete ,insert or modify the field values and all..
It creates the maintenance screen for u for the aprticular table as the maintenance is not allowed for the table..
In the SE11 delivery and maintenance tab, keep the maintenance allowed..
Then come to the SM30 and then enter the table name and press maintain..,
Give the authorization group if necessary and give the function group and then select maintenance type as one step and give the screen numbers as system specified..
Then create,,,
Then u will able to see the maintenance view for the table in which u can able to insert and delete the table values...
We use SM30 transaction for entering values into any DB table.
First we create a table in SE11 and create the table maintenance generator for that Table using (utilities-> table maintenance generator) and create it.
Then it will create a View.
After that from SM30, enter the table name and Maintain, create new entries, change the existing entries for that table.
Hope this resolves your query.
Reward all the helpful answers.

How can we know the size of the dimension(in Line item Dim)?
Hi to all experts,
We use Line item dimension if the size of dimension is 20% or more of the fact table. My doubt is that how can v know that the size of the dimesion is 20% or more of FT?. But we never store MD in dimension tables......So please help me to understand this scenario? Thanks in advance.Hi
Normally before modelling you will assume the number of entries in your master data and transactional data..
If your dimension is having 3 characteristics
say A,B .....and these characteristic values are say
A---10,000( Total number of master data records)
B----7,000( Total number of master data records)
then your dimenstion would be 10,000 * 7,000 =700000000
in this case you better keep A in a dimension and B in another dimension.
Normally SAP recommends your dimension table shouldnot exceed 100,000...
so whenever you expect a characteristic is having more values then you should make it as line item...
If you want to add a new characteristic to the existing model then you can decide by comparing the ratio of dimension table to the fact table..
Please have a look at the below url for sizes
dimension size
Hope it helps

How can I know when I reached space limitations
Hi, I want to know what happens when an enviorment reachs its space limitation.
I know that space available is 30mb per user and the only way to know how much space you've consumed is by calculations about the number of registers.
But I'd like to know how can I know when I reached that limit and what is the procediment to buy more space (overall how much time it takes).
Every comment will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Edited by: linkln on 13/08/2010 10:29 AMWe recently instituted a new CRM On Demand storage policy and we realize it hasn’t been disseminated as broadly as it should be. This new policy is significantly more generous than the former policy at no additional charge. We used to offer 30MB pooled storage for Multi-tenant, 45MB for Single-Tenant Standard Edition, and 60MB for Single-Tenant Enterprise Edition (this space covered standard records and attachments).
Customers often think in terms of records and not MB, especially when they are considering importing x million contacts or other records. An average record uses 2KB. We have made the following changes:
1) Multi-tenant. Converted the 30MB to 15,000 records. Added 100MB per user for attachments;
2) Single-Tenant Standard edition. Converted the 45MB to 22,500 records. Added 150MB per user for attachments;
3) Single-Tenant Enterprise edition. More than doubled the 60MB to 70,000 records. Added 200MB per user for attachments;
In summary the new limits are:
Storage Allotment by CRM OD Offering______ Records per User_____Megabytes for Attachments to Records per User
Multi-Tenant___________________________15,000 ____________100
Single-Tenant Standard Edition_____________22,500 ____________150
Single-Tenant Enterprise Edition____________70,000 ____________200
A couple of additional notes:
• When counting records we are only counting primary data records. Meta-data and configuration records don’t count against the limit.
• Usage is pooled as before (i.e. a customer receives the amount of storage per subscriber as listed above multiplied by number of subscribers).

How Can I know about any change happened in the page??
........... I Use JDev 11g ........
How Can I know if any change happened in the page???
for example:
I have a page and I press a creation button that create a new row in view object I want when I press any button that will call another page the page ask a user Are you want to save changes? before leaving a page.
Or
I edit the value in a view object but not committed ( I didn't commit the data in database ) . When I want to leave the page I want to display a message say : Are you want to save changes?
How can I do that?
Thank You...
Sameh NassarCheck out http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2004/09/23/notYetDocumentedAdfSampleApplications.html Example 60. Do not go by the 'on page load' name... This approach will allow you to plug in your custom code at any 'phase' of your adf life cycle. You can capture any request coming from your page, and check for pending transaction states and act accordingly.. I realize that the reply is a little abstruse, but this is not a drag-drop-smile requirement.. :-)

How can I know if a manually created Journal Entries has not been paid yet?
Hi There.
I'm passing through the following situation: I need to find out which Journal Entries that have been manually created ( TransType = 30 ) don't have an Outgoing Payment record associated
Lets suppose that I manually created a Journal Entry. Let's call it OJDT_MAN
Then, I went to the Outgoing Payments Form ( Modules -> Banking -> Outgoing Payments -> Outgoing Payments ) and paid OJDT_MAN.
This process will create another Journal Entry. Let's call it OJDT_AUTO.
I can't find in the database anything that indicates that OJDT_MAN has already been paid. I tried looking for a Status field; Checking if OJDT_AUTO had some code that could get me to OJDT_MAN ( I found BaseRef and TransType = 46, that can guide me to the new OVPM record ); Tried looking at the new OVPM record for some field that could lead me to OJDT_MAN, but I had no success at all...
So, in resume, and again, how can I know if a manually created Journal Entry hasn't been paid?
(When I go to the Outgoing Payments Form and select a Business Partner, it B1 shows me only the not paid ones... How does he knows it? )Just to make it more clear, the SQL we were looking for is this:
Select
From
OJDT
Where
OJDT.TransId Not In ( Select VPM2.DocEntry From VPM2 Where VPM2.InvType = 30 )
And
OJDT.TransType = 30 -

Edited by: user627525 on Feb 24, 2009 11:13 PMCan't an invoice have more than 1 payment schedule id?
Yes, an invoice can have more than 1 Payment schedule ID
If so, would they all have to be zero or closed?
We have to check by Payment schedule ID

How can I know which model of K9A2VM I have?
I have a K9A2VM motherboard with an Athlon 64 x2 3600+ AM2 CPU. I would now like to upgrade to an AM3 Phenom II CPU with lots and lots of cores.
However, I have a problem. I don't know if I have K9A2VM-FD or K9A2VM-FIH and I don't know how to find out. I've opened my box and looked at the card, but it only says K9A2VM. By reading the specs and looking at pictures, I know it has to be one of them, or at least that it is not K9A2VM-F V2 since it only has two RAM slots and I have four of them installed. There are other obvious differences too, which I can easily spot by looking at the picture.
Now, looking at the CPU support page for -FD and -FIH, they seem to have differences in what CPUs they support:
-FD at least supports an X6: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9A2VM-FD.html#/?div=CPUSupport
Phenom II X6 Thuban HDT90ZFBK6DGR 1090T 200 3.20 3M 6M E0 125 7501v1B.zip
But the -FIH CPU support page is different: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9A2VM-FIH.html#/?div=CPUSupport
If I can use that processor, I'm really happy. But -FIH doesn't seem to support Phenom II at all. So provided that the information in the CPU support page is correct, it's fairly important to me to know which model I have. But in case nobody knows how I can distinguish between them; if I buy a Phenom II X6 CPU and it turns out that my motherboard doesn't support it; what is the worst thing that can happen? Will I break the CPU or motherboard, or will it simply not work, but the hardware will still be fine?
Thanks. So this is a MS-7501 Version 1.0 card, in addition to being a K9A2VM. The entire web refers to it as "K9A2VM-FD / FHI". One will work, and the other will go up in smoke. And there is no easy way to know which is which. So how can I know? The reason I bought this card was so I could upgrade the CPU at a later time. Now it seems that's not possible, because the available information is so very poor. I've never had to gamble when purchasing hardware from other vendors. Is this common for MSI?

Hi anybody there who can help me ha..? My phone 5s was stolen 1 month ago..Find my phone is no a big deal bcz it seems to be wiped out all data including settings. it might be in use somewhere turning new fresh Gadget. How can i know whether my phone is in use??
You would know for a fact if the device is in use, but if you go back to the find my iPhone app in iCloud.com, you can either select to erase it, or place it in lost mode, in which case, once the device makes a connection to the internet, it will automatically go into that mode.
