Someone can help me to load a external file .txt in After Effects CC 2014.0 Release / Mavericks OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)?
I tried the code bellow, but doesn't work.

Render file size bigger After Effects CC 2014

Hello, this seems like a silly question, but ever since the 'After Effects CC 2014' update my rendered files seem to be enormous in comparison to the files I rendered before the update!
I don't see why the update would have adjusted my render preferences, but it must have done as a 2min clip that rendered at 140mb before is now 10GB!!!
My knowledge of codecs and compression is limited but I had a good preset before the update which now seems to have changed (although I have always been rendering h.264/full quality/no audio so I don't understand how the file size can change so drastically).
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
If not could you please advise me on how to render these files to a suitable size. Like I said they need to be h.264, 1920 x 1080 with no audio.

After Effects CC 2014 no longer supports the output of many delivery codecs, such as Mpeg4 and H264, through the Render Queue.
You can output far more formats, and in greater quality, using Adobe Media Encoder. You can send AE renders directly to AME from After Effects. You can import AE projects directly into AME. And you can also render high quality and/or lossless formats from the AE Render Queue and then re-encode them from AME.

How can I make a countdown timer using After Effects

I'd like to make a video that has a timer that counts down one second at a time. I need one starting at 5:00 (five minutes). Is there a way to easily do this in After Effects without having to manually change the text every second?

How can I block warning messages triggered by After Effects?

Hello, please tell me if it is possible to block the warning messages triggered by After Effects CS 5. I'm digesting .aep projects automatically, using scripts, and sometimes these projects have missing files. AE triggers warnings, causing the program to block until someone clicks "ok" on the alert message. The problem is that the process is intended to be automatic, withouth any human intervention. The only possible solution I see in this problem is to block all warning messages from AE, but I don't know how, so I ask you for help. Thank you!

When adding resources to a project, I can only add folders from the project's Properties --> ColdFusion Project --> Additional Source.
But I want to add only a single file......how should I do?

In Properties -> ColdFusion Project -> Additional source section one can add a linked folder i.e. a directory on the file system that you would like to add in the project.
If you want to add only a single file instead of entire directory then select the project, right click and select New -> File.
Click on the button 'Advanced' and select 'Link to file in the file system'.
Browse to the file in the file system by clicking the 'Browse' button.
After clicking OK you should be able to see the linked file in the project.

I download confidential info & save to a secured flash drive; how can I delete the file from "downloads" after that?

I am a mental health professional. My supervisor emails me confidential information as Word documents, which I download using Firefox. When the download is complete, I open the document and save it to my secured flash drive. I would like to then delete the file from my computer, so the flash drive has the only copy, to protect my clients' privacy. The only directions I can find are for deleting the entry from the downloads list, but not the file itself.

There is technology known as RMS which you could set series of policies like only members in the company could access certain documents and if someone copy them and attempt to run them in another PC or outside company, it won't work. Take a look at:

If an application is not listed it is normally because your machine does not meet the system requirements for that application. Check the AFter Effects requirements against your machine to see if there is a mismatch...

How can I load a .pst file to an instrument in logic express 9?

I have some instruments plug-in settings from my old computer that I used with logic, and I want to load them into logic so I can use them on the computer I moved them to. On any instrument I try (ES1, ES2, EXS24 and the rest) it won't allow me to load the files (.pst files) and I know I should be able to. Am I just going about it wrong or using the wrong instrument? How can I load these files so that I can use the instruments again?

Pages is not in a format compatible for what you want to do.
After you save a a Pages document, go to File > Export > and choose either Word or Pdf format. You can also choose RTF or PlainText too. Then you can email to yourself or others.

Can I load xml file from SWC without using @embed

I'm developing a mobile application in which I need to load xml files from File.applicationDirectory. This works great if the xml files are part of the main application swf. But I would like to move these xml files into a SWC so they could be shared across multiple applications.
Using FlashBuilder 4.5, when a SWC is built, I can specify files to embed in the library that are not assets (Assets Tab of Flex Library Build Path). For various design reasons, I do NOT want to embed the xml files via @embed.
When the swc is built and I open it up using a zip utility, I see the xml files in there just fine. So they are being bundled with the SWC. But how can I load these files in my main application that does not involve using @embed? When the main application is built, the swc setting for link type is "merged into code".
I wouldn't expect the application to automatically pull out the xml files from the swc and place them in the File.applicationDirectory on the mobile device. I've tried loading from there just in case but file.exists is false (as expected).
I've searched the web (and continue to do so) and all the answers seem to be to use @embed. Is there another way?

It's actually a lot easier than you think.
Just reference the file like any'ol URL using a path relative to the SWC's src directory.
So if you include the file "assets/xml/some.xml", just use that same string like you would any remote resource.
For example:
var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( new URLRequest("assets/xml/some.xml"));
I believe it would also work like this "/assets/xml/some.xml", but I prefer relative paths so the link doesnt break if moved out of the SWC...

Hi.
I creating my first flash (actionscript 3.0) website but I'm
stuck with a visual effect I want to create.
I have a window on my website called contentWindow. Every
time you click a button this window is supposed to leave the stage,
load the requested content and return to the stage.
The sliding window is a movie clip with 83 frames, 21 to
enter the stage, 21 to leave the stage again, 20 for nothing (its
just to simulate the loading time) and 21 to return to the stage.
Now my goal is, when the user clicks on a navigation button,
the window exits the stage, loads an external SWF with the content,
and then returns to the stage.
I've the "window" movie clip with an instance name of
"contentWindow". Inside there is another movie clip with an
instance name of "contentLoader". The content that the user
requested should appear inside the "contentLoader".
Now, when the contentWindow leaves the stage, I get this
error message:

If I switch

And I am just wondering if the following might help you, in your
communication with the said swf file:

Not the best example, but this allows you to target a mc
within an external swf file. I think if you look up this code, you
will have an answer ;)
