I have a web page under construction on MobileMe and want to move it to my nedw web hosting service. Can someone point me to a page on the Apple web site that can tell me how to do

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Install PSE 8 on the old computer and convert your catalog to PSE 8 format there. Then use the backup/restore method in PSE 8 to move the catalog and photos to the new computer. See these FAQs for details:

I've been using iWeb to create my school's website and I would like to expand it and move it to a different host under my new domain name. iWeb doesn't have an FTP client, so what options do I have? Can I somehow make iWeb direct my page to my new domain for uploading or would it be easier to start from scratch with some different software. I really like iWeb's flexibilty in creating just what I want. Any advice would be greatly apprecited.

How can I move the permissions.sqlite file to a new folder or a subfolder?

I am using a syncing program to keep cookie exceptions on multiple computers all equivalent. Unfortunately this is causing a problem because places.sqlite changes frequently and cannot be synced while FF is running. So I want to move the permissions.sqlite file to a new folder or a subfolder so I can only sync that one folder. Is there a way to specify the location of this file?

Sorry, there is no way to move that file out of the Profile folder, or specify a different location for it, built into Firefox.
One extension that might be able to help you do that is Pike's Bookmark Backup extension. BB allows you to specify which files are backed-up and where those backup files are saved. It also has a backup interval setting, IIRC. <br />

I recently had to restore my system and completely forgot to make a seperate file to store my iweb. I found a copy of everything on my idisk but can not figure out how to get it back to iweb. Any ideas? Please help! Fairly new Mac user.....

Basically, you won't ever find a way to do it because iWeb cannot import the files stored on your iDisk. iWeb is not an html editor.
You are looking at re-building your site, although you can use what is on iDisk to cut and paste.

How can I move single bookmarked pages into new and existing folders in 3.6.9. I'm using XMarks.

I have booked marked pages for what I thought would be inclusion into existing or new folders, however, I'm unable to do this.
It could be that I just don't know how to. If that's the case please refer me to directions or a tutorial explaining how.
I'm using XMarks and I don't see where they have a solution for the issue as I've explained it.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.1 as my OS and 3.6.9 as my Firefox browser.

How can I move my preferences and extensions to a new computer? Have I done it successfully?

My old computer crashed. I've set up the new computer. I copied all the profile files/folders to the profile on the new computer in both the local and roaming folders.
Does this copy over my preferences and extensions? The help pages say they don't tell how to copy those since they can be the cause of problems. However, they weren't problems. So I want them copied. The extensions folder on the old computer was empty (I don't recall if It'd had any installed or just bookmarked some.) I remember making some specific preferences changes in that "advanced" file (that worked fine afterward.)
So with what I did, did I successfully copy everything over? If not - where are the extensions and preferences so that I can copy them over?
Bonus big question - is there a way to merge my old browsing history with the history on the new computer that I used for 10 days? Right now I set those 10 days as a separate profile, so I can save and go check it if I really need to.

Take the good profile and copy it to the new computer. Also copy all
of your add-ons. On the new computer, start Firefox. Once it is running,
shut it down. Then transfer the information from the old profile to the new.
Thess add-ons can save all add-ons into a single folder for transfer.

How can I publish my iweb site using Jumpline as a host? Anyone done it?

My dad has a hosting account with Jumpline and can have an infinite amount of websites with unlimited storage (type of account is no long available fyi), so we have it set up on his end (thanks to help from a true IT guy, but he is a PC IT guy) but now I need to know what to do to publish the site from the iweb end... I am not familiar with ftp or much of anything with hosting and servers, etc. I have the user information, password and a location of where the website is set up at on the Jumpline server but again just not sure how to go about this in iweb. Any help would be appreciated!! I am using iweb v. 3.0.4

Nevermind!! I didn't realize I could use the FTP option for this server - it's publishing right now!
