I have the jdk 1.5.0.6 and tomcat 5.5.16
on my machine.
The locations are as follows.
1) jdk ---> C:\j2sdk1.5.0_06
2) tomcat ---> C:\prgram files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5
3) IE 6.0
4) java class ---> C:\HelloWorld.java
The Queries i have are as follows.
1) How to set PATH?
2) How the set CLASSPATH?
3)how compile simple HelloServlet ?
4)how run simple HelloServlet ? using tomcat ..
please give me details

I have tried to use the Process which is returned by the exec(arg) method but the exitValue() returns same value before execution and after execution.

Did you try to get the process returned and then try
process.waitFor() method. This waits for the process to finish.
After that try the next execution

I'm a new learner in servlet,I recently write a servlet program,when I compile it,the compiler throws the error
"package javax.servlet.http does not exist",I have put the servlet.jar(which exist in d:\tomcat\bin directory) file into the classpath directory;my servlet source files are in D:\tomcat\webapps\mywork\web-inf\classes\com\stardeveloper\servlets;
"com.stardeveloper.servlets" is the package for my servlet source files,so I have write the sentence "package com.stardeveloper.servlets;" in my servlet source file.
I don't know how to resolve this problem.can you give me a help?

servlet.jar doesn't exist in the folder you mentioned, but rather, in C:\tomcat40\common\lib, so this should be included in your classpath, the other thing you should care about is how you compiled your servlets, so that the package statement match the hirarchy of the file.

Adobe PDF printer gets installed when you install Acrobat 10 Pro.
To use this printer you need to purchase Acrobat. Once the trial period is over you cannot use the printer to create pdf files.
An alternative way for you is to utilize Microsoft's own inbuilt pdf engine.
You can simply open the file and select 'Save as' and in the type list select 'pdf'

I know PHP/Perl/whatever might be easier for some
purposes, but only if you happen to know them and want
to/are able to use them. Ok. But you aren't the one asking the question are you. And the person who asked the question seems to have absolutely no familiarity with Apache or applets.
So whatever they do they are going to have to learn a lot.
And that does indeed suggest that in all likelyhood they have not investigated the alternatives.
And for the vast majority of internet applications, especially with smaller projects (obvious this person is not working with a large team), using perl, or something besides java, is going to be the best business solution. It is simpler, and more secure (probably due to the fact that it is simpler.)

it's not as simple as a single BAPI to approve a workflow.
Workflow comes with a Workflow API (WAPI) that you can use to programmatically interact with the workflow system. The WAPI is implemented as a group of RFC-enabled function modules that are prefixed with "SAP_WAPI_".
Approving a workflow is simply taking a decision path for a workflow item. It is logically no different to rejecting the same workflow item or any other workflow decision.
As part of NetWeaver workflow is tightly coupled to the WAS platform you are running on so you may need to perform WAPI operations slightly differently on older releases.
Some of the WAPI calls you might need to use include: -
SAP_WAPI_GET_HEADER to get the workitem header
SAP_WAPI_READ_CONTAINER to get the workitem container
SAP_WAPI_GET_OBJECTS to get the attached objects
SAP_WAPI_DECISION_READ to get a list of possible decisions
SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_STATUS to set the workitem status
SAP_WAPI_WRITE_CONTAINER to write to the workitem container
SAP_WAPI_EXECUTE_WORKITEM to execute the workitem
I usually do what you are trying to do by adding the decision to the workflow container and then executing the workflow.
Be warned, you can really stuff things up if you get this wrong! Make sure you know what you are doing.
Quoting from Practical Workflow for SAP by Alan Rickayzen, et al from SAP Press...
Writing directly to the workflow container is dangerous because it can compromise the integrity of the process.
...be careful that you do not waste time duplicating existing ad hoc features of SAP's Workflow Engine.
For example you can use events (combined with wait steps), instead of container modifications to force the workflow to restart.

2.I created a java normal project including the above java dictionary project.
3.I used the SQLJ tech in the java normal project,exporting the opensqllib.jar,sqljapi.jar,sqljc.jar,sqljimpl.jar.
4.I coded the normal project,and export the project .jar,everything is ok.

Why not try to import your SQLJ project in SAP NWDS. Add all the jars mentioned to the project path both for compile time as well as runtime. Now try running he project. Once you are able to bypass java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, you will get other errors related to SQL statements. These Oracle SQL statements needs to be converted to OpenSQL format.

Here's my question: How can I turn my Mac, using iTunes, into an alarm clock?
I want to be able to put my Mac to sleep but have it set up so that when it wakes up at the predetermined time iTunes will open and start playing the music I've selected....

A friend suggested using the Energy Saver option in Sys. Preferences to wake the computer at the right time. He said that then I could use iCal to start iTunes. I would then have to use an Apple Script to get iTunes to play the song I want.
But is there a SIMPLER way to do this? Are there any programs out there that do this already??

I recently got a copy of AlarmClock Pro from MacWorld UK. It is shareware, I think it is (USD?)19. I haven't had a chance to try it out much, but it does look quite good. I have an older version. The latest version looks even better.

I have on my network several router 1700 series and switches Catalyst 2950 and I want to know how can I run ethereal on those babies to monitore what comes and goes

The two most common methods would be (the old way) insert a hub (not a switch) in-line between the devices withthe traffic you wish to monitor or (the new way, for Cisco anyway) using port mirrroring.
A hub (not a switch) will repeat every pulse that passes on the line to the analyzer.
Since finding a new hub these days is virtually impossible (even some of the things sold as hubs are really switches), the more common way, at least in Cisco environments, is to "SPAN" (aka Port Mirroring) the port of the device whose traffic you'd like to monitor.

This sounds like a question for the linux distribution forum that you're using. The .exe is a stand alone executable, if you can run win32 binaries then you should be able to run this.

The manifest can be just a txt file with its content to be something like this:

If you're a NetBeans user, you can build your standalone application by right-clicking your project and then going to properties => run => and choosing a Main class. After that right click on that project and "Clean and Build", locate the jar file in the "dist" folder and double click it =]
