How can i test my web applications SWF in the standalone player?

I have been using flash builder for a bit, and i love it!, but i don't want to test webb applications in my browser, i want to be able to launch them in the standalone player or debugger. After numberous google searches, it seems my flash builder IDE has something wrong with it, ( Even after re-installing it ) because when i try to make a new launch configuration, it doesn't have a field to accept a run or debug path. only a path for the html file used in the browser. This conflicts with all of the adobe help posts . I'm stuck here. can anyone help? thanks.

I would avoid using <center> tags, they're deprecated (http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_center.asp)
instead I would do something like
<div style="margin: 0px auto 0px auto; width: 800px;"></div>
put your content inside that div and it should be centered. Set the width to whatever you want.

1) Assuming u r putting the servlet inside the directory named 'Mywebapp' under webapps directory, u need to create directory named Web-inf under Mywebapp and classes under Web-inf.
Copy web.xml file from any of the webapps (like the example webapp) into mywebapp.
Copy any one of the sample servlet specification in the web.xml and customise for ur servelt.
then save the web.xml file and start the Tomcat.Am assuming u have included the mywebapp entry in the server.xml file.

I have searched over the web and found quite a lot of tutorials on how to use the EJB design pattern.
I know that there will be a home interface, EJB object interface and a SessionBean.
But the tutorials often only cover a single class, this made me unable to get a complete picture of how EJB design pattern can be implemented into a whole system.
I am now required to devleop an online shopping web application using EJB and JSP page.
I think I will need to create a lot of classes: Member, ShoppingCart, Product...etc.
What I want to ask is that, do I need to create a home interface, EJB object interface and a SessionBean for each of these classes?
I really need some ideas on how to develop this system using EJB + JSP pages.

hello i need easy way to deploy my jsf applications to tomcat .
i create an application server configuration in my JDeveloper now what ? how can i say to deploy the app to tomcat not to oracle application server.

the "deploy operation" must copy jsf , adf implementations jstl standartd common* and other jars to my tomcat project automaticly and it MUST make classes dir to be in WEB-INF\classes instead of project main.

These steps worked for me:
(I assume you successfully created the server configuration)
1) Select your project and then go to Run --> Deploy --> New Deployment Profile
Select WAR file, OK,
Give a name and select a directory,
in the WAR Deployment Profile Properties page, choose the Target Connection in the "Profile" section.
2) Now the deployment profile must be ready.
Select your project and then go to Run --> Deploy --> your new profile.
This should deploy the project to Tomcat.
I saw all needed jars deployed as well. Maybe you should check if all the jars are selected in the "Export" column, in the Project Properties --> Libraries section.
For the last question, in Project Properties --> Project Content, change your output directory to WEB-INF\classes.

How can I debug a web application running on Weblogic 10.3

Hello,
I have inherited a NetUI Web Application developed using Weblogic Workshop and I can't manage to debug it. I have configure my server in Workshop and to debug it I right-click the project in Project Exporer and select Debug As -> Debug On Server, but this isn't working. The browser does open the application doesn't appear to be getting delpoyed.
Can anyone help me out? I am using Weblogic 10.3 and Java 1.6.

Hi Kal,
The application is an enterprise application packaged as an EAR. if I right click on the project and click Debug As -> Debug on Server, the application appears in the Server Tab, but it does not start automatically. If I then manually start the server the application runs, but it does not stop at break points and I can not debug it.
If I right-click on the web project that is packaged as part of the ear and select Debug As -> Debug On Server again the application is deployed, but I can't debug it. I don't get error messages, the application functions as normal but it does not stop at break points. When I attempt to debug the application via the Web Project, two browsers open automatically, both correctly displaying the application.

I need to build a LabView application .exe to run with the 2012 Runtime, for legacy support. I currently have LabView 2013 installed on my development system, and have 2014 available. How can I build an application that uses the 2012 runtime on this development system? Do I have to downgrade to 2012? Thank you.

We have existing customers that have installed our application that was originally built with 2012 (provided by a contractor that is no longer available). Due to IT regulations, it is far easier to update these customers by simply replacing the .exe file, than creating an install that their IT department must run.

How can I stop my iPhone 5 from starting the music player randomly on its own?

I have an iPhone 5 running the latest version of iOS. Sometime last year (maybe shortly after I originally upgraded to iOS 7), the phone developed a nasty habit of starting up the music player during phone conversations when I connected to my Mazda's Bluetooth system. Oddly enough, I can hear the music playing over the phone conversation but the person on the other end of the phone line can't. To stop the music, I have to open the Music App and then close the App. Note that the Music App did NOT have to be previously open for the music to start, and the Music App doesn't usually show as an open App even after the music starts on its own. The problem has persisted through the last few iOS updates and it now happens in a broader range of circumstances (e.g., I have told the iPhone to forget the Mazda adapter, and it now does the same thing with my Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset). I usually have to go through this sequence at least twice per Bluetooth pairing session before the phone stops trying to start the music player on its own during phone calls.
The problem went away temporarily when I did a full reset of the phone, but it came back after a few days (even when I added apps & music back without restoring from an iOS backup).
Has anyone found a way to fix this problem once and for all? If I can find a fix, it's enough of an annoyance that it might convince me to go Android with my next phone. Thanks in advance...

I've tried syncing with itunes and icloud. The missing contacts are nowhere to be found. I just re-enter them on my iphone and proceed on my not so merry way. Next time I look for a contact, it might be there or it might not. It is not necessarily the same contact. It appears that my oldest contacts seem to be the ones disappearing

How can I initialize a web application in a cluster

Our current test environment is a single node but we have to move to a clustered environment. We have some database initialization which we do using a 'startup servlet' with the load-on-startup marker.
Now how does this behave in a clustered environment? Will the servlet be called once or once per node?
Should we redesign the startup initialization? Are there best practices for Weblogic clusters regarding startup initialization?

Servlet init() will be called by each JVM the application is in, regardless if it is in a cluster or not.
If you want once per cluster behavior, you'd need to consider something like a Singleton Service, which is outside of your application OR use something like Oracle Coherence in your application that would allow you to easily check if the initialization has already occurred in another cluster member.

I have two tables,one is employeees the other is devices.(Devices is the table for department notebooks).I want to implement an applicatiion for employees in order for them to book department laptops,so everyone will know which devices are in use and book the vacant notebooks.I want to make a view,such that it has a names column with static employee names and a devices column with list boxes for every employees such that they can select pre-registered notebook labels.

In any page of your application click on List of Values.
Click-on to create.
Name-list: LOV_NAME.
Select-type dynamics.
With the generator creates the SQL queries.
Click on creating Values list.
Select the item you want to convert into a selection list (ComboBox).
In the Show-like property, click on the Selection List.
Click on the link LOV, select the list of values created.
Apply changes.

How can I make my web page fill up the entire browser screen regardless of monitor it is viewed on,

I have noticed that some websites are designed so that the page expands to fill in the entire screen, regardless of the size of the monitor. Here is an example: https://www.draft2digital.com/support/
I have viewed the Muse tutorial that expands the Footer area to fill in the whole screen, but it does not address how to do this for the main part of the web page, or the header. I have looked at the site setup section and do not see where I could set it to expand.

Okay, in your link the blue bars would be in muse as a blue box then drag the right side so that it stamps just outside your page area. This will make muse program it so you will always see it extend to fill the browser window. Do the same on left side and you should be good. It will work even better if you also centre the rest of your content under page, page properties, padding - check the box for centre horizontally. Any content you want to extend with the browser, while the rest stays centred, you have to drag extending the content so it snaps just outside the main page in muse.

How can I make a web viewable version of the magazine I'm making in InDesign?

I have found solutions for making tablet viewable versions of the magazine using the Digital Publishing Suite but our readers are older and want to view the magazine in a secured area on our website.
I've tried interactive PDFs but not all browsers support in browser viewing of the pdfs and having readers download the pdf to view it is not acceptable. I've also tried exporting as a SWF file but the quality was a bit fuzzy, there was no option for zooming in and features like text searchability weren't available.
It's looking like we will need to use a solution like Texterity but we'd rather do something in house, especially through InDesign, if there's a solution available. Anyone know of an option I could use?

How can i test and adjust my speakers plea

This is my setup:
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music Retail
on
Logitech Z-5300e 5. speaker system.
What i need to know is how can i test my 5. speaker system
using the creative software in order to check if each channel is working properly.
I did not install the retail driver software that came with my package.
I only installed the latest creative x-fi standalone driver ( 42MB ) from the update site and mediasource plus Go. I can't find the creative sound mixer to check my speakers.
I also need to find a software that lets me adjust or calibrate my setup for optimal performance.
I noticed on the x-fi quickstart guide there is a software called "mode switcher", which includes neat looking software for each mode... where can i find that program ?

You need to install the apps and possibly drivers from the CD first and then upgrade to the web drivers. For testing your speakers the apps are necessary. However, Start->All Programs->Creative->Creative Audio Console should let you change modes.

How can I test a RTP(send&receive) application on the same computer?

I an writing an application that lets one computer (A) sends a media file to another computer (B) and B receives it and play it.
But how can I test this application on the same computer
Eg.Transmitter: localhost 43000
Receiver: localhost 43000
It will retuen an error since the port number is alreeady used by another program.
I know if I test it on different computers, it should be fine, but how can I test it on the same computer?

JMStudio sends RTP packets from the same UDP port as the specified in the destination port, so you can't try it in the same computer. The examples provided in http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/index.html follow this rule aswell, but it's easy to modify it:
