How could I remove all folders and files on ../queue/deferred/SMTP-Deliver/* ( This is deferred queue )?

I'm assuming this is Netscape Messaging Server 4.x as your example looks like NMS's queue path and not iMS's.
You can simpily stop the server, rm all the files under that directory and restart the server.
When the server starts back up it will scan the queue area and update the control files with what it does (or does not) find the queue area.

How can I remove all photos and directories from iPhoto as if it was a brand new install?
I am new to iPhoto and was unaware of how it works, honestly I still am a little confused as to when pics I am using 1/2 the time, some from iPhoto and some from MyPics.
Anyhow, I am looking to remove all photos from iPhoto because during the migration of all my photos from PC to MAC, somehow my timeline became messed up and all my photos that have been logged my dates since 1998 are now all messed up.
Although all my year folders are still in tact, IE 1998-2006, the subfolders and like pics are all intertwined somehow.
And when I search iPhoto for a given year, photos from 2,4, 8 yrs back show up in 2006.
Anyhow, I have selected and deleted all photos and folders within iPhoto, and then import the desired photos from MyPics, only to have the photos double up in the library. ( The old ones that should be deleted and the new imports)
I simply don't get it, they fill the trash and disappear when it's emptied, then reappear when iPhoto re-opens!
Can someone help????
I have completely reworked all my photos so that they are all in the correct folders outside of iPhoto, and now I want to import those and only those pics with that file structure.
IE Structure = YEAR > MONTH > DAY ( or if needed) > DAY/EVENT

Do you want to remove the existing full sized image files also? If so then just drag the iPhoto Library folder from the Pictures folder to the Trash and empty it. But be warned you'll lose all of your image files.
You are dragging the files to the iPhoto Trash bin and then using the iPhoto->Empty Trash menu, right?
In copying your photos to myspace and then back the original capture date may not be retained and then either the created date or modified date will be used by iPhoto. If the files in the current library are the originals from your camera then those have the best chance of retaining the correct Captured Date. You can check that out by dragging the Originals folder from your iPhoto Library folder to the desktop and then trash what remains of the iPhoto Library folder. Then launch iPhoto and it will ask you to create an new library. Then import that Originals folder and it's subfolders by dragging it into iPhoto's open window. You'll keep the same rolls that was. The roll dates may change but you can check the captured date of the files by using the calendar in the Source pane.
You won't be able to keep your folder structure within iPhoto. Each outside folder will result in a roll with the same title as the folder. You'll be able to create folders in the Source pane to put albums inside. You can create a smart album to include all photos in a certain date range, line one month.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

I have three computers that all have had free fonts added by an employee. They just keep multiplying and are up to nearly 1500 fonts now. When I try to open excel it tells me certain fonts are corrupt. I just want to remove all of them and start over with a legit font program. Any suggestions?

They shouldn't have added any fonts to the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder (though they could have), so they should all be in one of two folders.
1) Empty out the /Library/Fonts/ folder.
2) Empty out the ~/Library/Fonts/ folder (the tilde means the current logged in user account).

How do I remove all Google Drive files stored on my MacBook?

I used my MacBook as my work laptop and thus we all use Google Drive there. However recently I've moved jobs and no longer need access to Google drive files from that old work account anymore. I've gone through and disconnected my account at the top tool bar and also removed the Google Drive App from my Applications folder and my trash has been cleared of everything.
However, when I search in spotlight for 'Google Drive' loads of my old files still show up in the preview which I assume means theyre still stored on my Mac. How do I just simply remove everything like all folders/documents attached to that Google Drive account off my MacBook?

Share all folders and files between two OSX partitions

So I have two partitions on my drive, one running 10.9, the other running 10.10 beta. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to make all folders read/write accessible from the other partition. I'd like to be able to access them easily, so that I don't have to change back over to 10.9 every time I want to watch a movie or access one of my files in one of my folders.
All of the info I can find online is totally focused on how to share files between, say, a windows partition and osx partition for example, all the drivers needed etc... and I'm having a hard time just figuring out how to set permissions or whatever is needed to just get those pesky red dots off my folder icons and have them open and available form either partition.

For what it's worth, I've tried hitting "get info" on one of the folders I know I can't get to from the other side (basically, all the main folders in my user except Public), and Everyone has Read Access (I can't even get in for Read at this point from other partition so I'm guessing that's not the right place). My user on the other partition is same username.
Possibly a beta issue with Yosemite, or is there something I'm missing?

Boot with the install disc that shipped with the unspecified iMac, launch Disk Utility->erase the HD, selecting the zero out data security option, quit DU, and reinstall the OS. How do I allow another account user read & write privileges to all my files and folders? I have set the other user as an administrator however each file and folder that i've copied into their documents folder still need to be changed individually (through the Get Info window) in order to save changes or add new files to them. This is very time consuming, so is there an easier way?

Mario's post explains, how to arrange in colums in Finder windows.
You can use the same method to arrange the items on the Desktop:
Click on the empty Desktop to select it and to bring the Finder forward, press the key combination ⌘J.
Select "Snap to Grid" and set the spacing and icon size.
Select an option how you want to sort them, e.g. by kind.

This sounds like you have created a POP mail account.
Pop mail accounts can only get access and download from server Inbox to Thunderbrd mail account Inbox. This is not a Thunderbird quirk; it is how all POP mail accounts work.
There is a workaround.
In Thunderbird
* Move all good emails from Inbox to other suitable folders.
* Delete any emails you do not want.
* Right click on Inbox and select : 'Compact'
Now you have an empty Inbox which will make it easier to identify emails downloaded from different folders.
* Log on to webmail account using a browser.
* Move all emails from one of your folders into Inbox.
* In Thunderbird select to 'Get Messages'
* Thunderbird will download any emails not previously downloaded to the Inbox.
* Create a suitable folder and move all those emails into it.
Repeat this action to move emails in other folders into webmail Inbox and then download them.
This will get emails from server folders into Thunderbird.
From then onwards any new mail coming into server Inbox will get downloaded to Thunderbird mail account Inbox, so this workaround would only need to be done once.

Remove duplicate folders (and files)

I have attempted several times to merge two folders named "jazz". I haved check the box to skip files and folders that are already in the target. I just noticed that I have been keeping both, so I have folders called sax 1, sax 2, etc. with identical contents. I also have similar issues in the root directory, which has multiple copies of files with numbers appended at the end.
When I realized this, I cancelled a merge, and now have ghost files instead of the original, un-numbered file name.
Is there any way to easily fix this mess so I have just one copy of each file and folder, preferably without a number appended to the name?

How to recover lost folders and files - Pls help, help...

Some days ago I lost all of my 15 GB folders and files that stored in my Macbook Pro hard drive called DATA. I brought my Macbook pro to an experienced computer tecnicians who providing data recovery services. To his and my suprise, after checking, scanning it a few hours, he said their is no way to recover because he did not find any trails at all. The computer still seems working properly - I have no problem with any applications. There are few other folders in the DATA hard disk containing pictures, computer programs still remain. These lost folders and files contain mainly documents (word, excel, power point, pdf etc) which I accumulated in my many years working !!!!. I did not make a back up since last September partly because I think Mac is very safe.
The computer with me all the time on that day and only my son used Power Point to make a simple presentation on that evening - he can not save it on the folders the he normally use - All the folders and files are gone.
I will appreciate it very much if any of you can tell me what would be the possible causes and more importanly how to recover the lost folders and files. They are very very valuable to me.

First, did the data actually get deleted, or is it still there somewhere? Try searching the drive for some of the documents, perhaps it's all just in another folder on that drive.
If it's truly gone, it's impossible for us to say what might have happened to make it unrecoverable. Perhaps someone using the computer used Secure Empty Trash, or securely erased empty space on the hard drive. Perhaps it was overwritten by other stuff before you noticed. It's possible the hard drive is starting to fail, though this seems like an awfully specific problem for that to be the issue.
Or perhaps the tech you took the computer to didn't know what he was doing. Why not try recovering what you can on your own? See Recovering deleted files.
You should be aware that no computer is safe. All computers rely on hardware that may fail and software that can have bugs. You absolutely MUST maintain a good set of frequently-updated backups... no fewer than two full backups of anything you don't want to lose.

Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

Can you tell us how you're executing this code? Is it called from sql agent job or are you executing it by calling code directly?
Did you try creating a proxy for xp_cmdshell and then executing it?
