How disable buttons in SOST

Hello, is there a way for disable (or to deny the functionality) to users the buttons
"display document", "repete send" or "delete send request" without build a custom program,
that is using authorization objects or exit/badi's ?
Riccardo Galli

Hi,
As mentioned above u need to find related BADI or User Exit to perform the required task...
Find the user-exit in Program "RSSOSOSTSTAT"
i don't c any userexit in ECC6 so kindly go for BADI's
in SE80->PACKAGE->SO-> go to authorization objects and go to the respective include prog and find if there r any enhancement points.
Hope u got the idea....
All the Best !!!!

Then you have to use the event set_pf_status or parameter I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET for this pass the form name.
You have to Implement the form Routine.
FORM PF_STATUS using status type SLIS_T_EXTAB.
SET PF-STATUS 'STS' excluding status.
ENDFORM.
First create the pf-staus using SE41 or double click on the status name and create . By default you make them Disable mode.

Your backlight is out, it's a hardware problem and you'd be best served to take it in for an estimate. Or you could purchase an external display and use it as a desktop computer. You'll have to decide if repairing a 6 year old computer is worth it.

• How to disable Buttons based on condition.

Hi
Need your help to disable button based on condition.
Please refer the application:
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=34797:5:110582943383419::NO:::
login credentials:
workspace: vsanthanam
user: vijay
pswd: apex_demo
In the above application, i have 2 buttons in page 5, (Report1 and Report2)
Where i have to disable button based on the following conditon:
i) USER whoever has Admin value 'Y' in my table can access the button.
for this i've written a Button Condition : Type (EXISTS)
select 1 from apex_extra_values where rtrim(lower(empname)) like decode((select Admin from apex_extra_values
where rtrim(lower(empname))=rtrim(lower(V('APP_USER')))),'Y',rtrim(lower(V('APP_USER'))))
note: i have empname same as my APEx user name. with Admin access 'Y'.
By using this code i can able to hide the button for users who has no Admin access.
But my requirement is : i have to show the button even if the user is not Admin, but to grey out (disable the button - no action)
I tried using javascript function:
function disableButton(pThis)
pThis.disabled=true;
But either of this (exists condtion or JAvascript function) works in my case and not both.
Any pointer on this would be highlt appreciated.
Thanks
Vijay

Couple of things:
1. I would never use v('APP_ITEM') but :APP_ITEM - it is faster and there is no need to use this function within an application
2. The way you are doing this check is not the best approach. You should create an authorization schema and run this once per session. Whatever this authorization is returning as a result you can check using the following Function returning boolean:
IF apex_util.public_check_authorization ('MY_AUTH') THEN RETURN TRUE; ELSE RETURN FALSE; END IF;
See this example on authorization issues:
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:148
3. As far as disabling a button is concerned I think I explained the options. I also have an example on that here:
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:143
whereby it is not disabling but hiding a button.

• How do I get the Manged bean and Taskflow logic for Disable button in User details Modify page

Hi,
I have a requirement where I have to add to custom buttons like "Terminate" and "Reinstate" in the users detail page. Terminate is closely modeled with "Disable" button of user details page. Before I develop the custom beans and register the task flow for the custom button, I just want to understand the logic written in the managed bean for "Disable" button and understand what is there in its associated task flow. Am trying to get these details from OIM. Not sure where exactly I can get the code for this and customize as per my requirement.
Please suggest the exact location?
Raghu

Thanks for the information - I still was hoping that the article Mario mentioned above was accessible (perhaps just moved)? Somewhere on the BC system? Just so I can add it to my BC help folder - as well as even share it with clients who want to try things on their own (best to give them some help in that direction so they don't fumble through things).
I have the checkout form populating information, if they have purchased in the past it will populate their address - but I am also trying to get their "account page" to do the same (basically show them what their current information in the system is - then allow them to update whatever might be wrong or need changes). We have a login page, for people to sign up without having "bought" something - so the CRM won't have their billing/shipping info in the system yet. Trying to capture that without a purchasing being made.

• How to disable buttons in ADF form so it can be reused

I would like to reuse the same Human Task ADF form for multiple User Activities in the same BPM 11g process definition. The only difference between the User Activities in the process are the outcomes (buttons) allowed. For example, in some User Activities, the outcomes allowed are APPROVE and REJECT. In others, it might be APPROVE, REJECT, and REPROCESS. Is it possible to hide, or disable, buttons in a Human Task ADF form based on some settings done in the User Activity, or something passed to the Human Task ADF form?
I started digging, and I see in the jspx file for the form, there is an attribute named "visible" that is set as follows on the button:
<af:commandToolbarButton actionListener="#{invokeActionBean.setOperation}"
text="#{wf:getResourceValue('APPROVE', 'bindings.customActions')}"
disabled="#{!bindings.APPROVE.enabled}"
action="#{invokeActionBean.invokeOperation}"
partialSubmit="false"
visible="#{wf:isCustomActionAvailable('APPROVE', 'bindings.customActions')}"
id="ctb2">
<f:attribute name="DC_OPERATION_BINDING" value="bindings.APPROVE"/>
</af:commandToolbarButton>
So if I can figure out a way to pass flags to the form, and then use those in the setting of the "visible" flag, would that do it? Is there a better method?
Thanks,
Joe A.

Set the binding to the button in the managed bean based on the input form parameter. For example if parameter value is paramValue1
<task-flow-definition id="sourceTaskflow">
<input-parameter-definition>

<value>#{pageFlowScope.paramValue1}</value>
<class>java.lang.String</class>
</input-parameter-definition>
</task-flow-definition>
Set binding to not enabled.
#{!bindings.CreateInsert.enabled}

• Read-only textbox and/or disable buttons in Infopath 2013

In a InfoPath 2013 custom list form, my requirement is to make textboxes read-only, disable buttons, and/or create new buttons so users can not update fields in a custom list once the user has updated data in the list. Basically after the user hits the 'save'
button so that the data is saved.
The requirement is not to set up custom permissions since my SharePoint administrator said I should find another option. This administrator said he does not see a reason for only an 'add' permission.
Thus can you tell me how to meet my requirements? Can you show me screen prints, pictures, or urls on how to solve the problem?

Hi,
According to your description, you might want to prevent users from editing the existing items.
There are two workarounds I can provide as below:
As the first workaround, you can remove Ribbon from SharePoint InfoPath List Form via modifying the OOTB settings of InfoPath Web Part.
Here is a link about more details, you can use it as a reference:
http://the-north.com/sharepoint/post/Remove-Ribbon-from-SharePoint-InfoPath-List-Form
As the second workaround, you can apply the CSS code below to your page, it will hide the “Edit Item” button in the Ribbon:

• Disabled button to look like selected button

I have a set of toggle buttons. If I wanted to disable a button the moment it was clicked, but not have the user know that this was done, how could I set the disabled button to look like a clicked button?
I tried using
ImageIcon disabledIcon = (ImageIcon) button.getIcon();
button.setDisabledIcon(disabledIcon);
button.setDisabledSelectedIcon(disabledIcon);But this made the button look like an unclicked button. The clicked button has the exact same icon in the middle, but the rest of the button is darker.
Any help appreciated!

may be you want like this,

• Mouse Events on Disabled Buttons

Hi,
In my application I should make a disabled button to show a tool tip when mouse is entered onto it.
I'm using java.awt.container not Jcontainer.
I have searched in SDN forums and after reading some of the comments what I understood is disabled Swing button can react to Mouse events but a disabled awt button can not react to mouse events.

• Ribbon disable buttons

Hi all!
I have custom solution for sharepoint with application pages and ribbons.
So, I need to disable all ribbon buttons on all pages of my solution for a certain user groups.
I know how disable each ribbon button through EnableScript property. But is there the way to make it once for all?
Update - I didn't mean to hide button at all. I mean to make it gray - and unavailable to push.(as sharepoint
makes unavailable buttons when no permission to add,delete list items, only view)

You should be able to use the information in this article to get you started.
http://www.endusersharepoint.com/2010/11/09/hiding-the-sharepoint-2010-ribbon-from-anonymous-users/
Create a JS file (HideScript.js) and paste the following code in it, which hides the ribbon for a certain page. Upload the JS file to some document library for e.g. "SiteAssets"
function HideRibbon() {
$("#s4-ribbonrow").hide();
var newHeight = $(document).height();
if ($.browser.msie) {newHeight = newHeight - 3; }
$("#s4-workspace").height(newHeight);
_spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push("HideRibbon");
Refer the JS in your page layout(for which you would like to hide ribbon) like this:
<asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderAdditionalPageHead" runat="server">
<asp:literal ID="Literal6" runat="server" Text="<script src='" />
<asp:literal ID="Literal7" runat="server" Text="<% $SPUrl:~site/SiteAssets/jquery-1.8.0.min.js %>" />
<asp:literal ID="Literal8" runat="server" Text="' type='text/javascript' ></script>" />
<asp:literal ID="Literal1" runat="server" Text="<script src='" />
<asp:literal ID="Literal2" runat="server" Text="<% $SPUrl:~site/SiteAssets/HideScript.js %>" />
<asp:literal ID="Literal3" runat="server" Text="' type='text/javascript' ></script>" />
</asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
Update: with CSS it's just
#s4-ribbonrow
display: none;

• Enable/Disable buttons in Portal.

How are buttons in EP 2004s enabled/disabled? Not in the toolbar but in the iViews. Such as Account Sales Area, we had a button "Additional Sales Areas" enabled, but now it has become grayed out.
Is the enabling/disabling of buttons a PCUI issue that needs to be handled through DynPro or SPRO, or an authorizations issue that needs to be handled in the CRM backend system?
In this particular scenario the "Additional Sales Areas" button is also disabled in the GUI, but there are others such as a "print" button where it is only disabled in the PCUI.
Any help with this or documentation on how to enable buttons would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Buttons are coming from the PCUI applications, check out the following weblog

'The Book' contains all the details. For enabling/disabling the buttons either you can change in the blueprint tables or use the blueprint application builder.
