How do get rid of "imported photos" on iphoto

When I open iphoto, I keep getting anerror message that I have a photo that has not been imported. But nothing really downloads. The "recovered photos folder is always empty. How do I get rid of the error message. On another computer, I was helped with a suggestion to find a folder called import and drag it to my tabletop. But I don't remember how to get to it on this other computer. Can anyone help me?

quit iPhoto, right click on the iPhoto library and show package contents - find the folder names import (or importing) and drag it to the desktop - do NOT make any other changes
DO not do any of the things you are doing - no option and command launch - no double clicking on a library - nothing except right clicking on the library with the importing problem and removing the import(ing) folder

If you have three libraries (which is generallly not recommended) you switch between them by depressing the option key and launching iphoto - use the resulting select library window to change the default library - once you finish the first step the option launch and look at each library to determine what you have
but I've been afraid to do anything with the folder, so it sits on my desktop. It contains 3 folders: Masters, Previews and Thumbnails each filled with stuff such a roll 1, etc., or my_pix, none of which opens to anything.
What exactly is this "folder"? That sounds like you have an iPhoto library on your desktop (valid but not a good idea) - you should never be inside your iPhoto library except as specifically directed in my first post - thee are no user servicable parts in it and you must not be mucking around in it

You could also have used Image Capture in your Applications Folder.

iPhoto managed high resolution just fine. Perhaps you don't have the correct codec.
To solve you more immediate problem: go to your Pictures Folder and there you'll see your iPhoto Library Folder. Open it and inside you'll see a folder called 'Importing' or something close to that. Drag it to the desktop. Restart iPhoto. Does that help?

You have two options:
1. Set PSE as your external editor for iphoto and send the photos from iphoto. Save (not Save As) without changing the name or format and iPhoto will remember the original + the last edited version. (To get back to the original you will have to lose the edits, though.)
2. Export the photos from iphoto, work on the copies, make all the changes you want to name and format and then reimport the edited versions to iphoto as new files. This lets you save as many different versions as you like.

How do i get rid of duplicate photos in iphoto

i have seen many different posts related to this topic but most contradict themselves. i am seeing many suggestions to use duplicate anihaltor and then posts that says the actual support people of the product say it doesn't work. any ideas? and ideas about how to make it stop happening once i get rid of the duplicates? I am also trying to figure out how to get iphoto not to pick up every piece of clipart or phone icon etc that crosses its path. my iphoto is a HUGE mess and i am trying to clean it up...48K pictures...

I am also facing the same problem.
I have an object Showing (TR/1223xxxx). I was able to remove "TR/" in bex by dragging the compunded object in Rows section and supressing it to "No Display" but in Webi I am still getting (TR/1223xxxx).
In Webi if I create a formula and trim the above value, i am getting "#UNAVAILABLE" in Key Figures, i.e. measures (smar Measures)
Is there a way to get rid of this compunded value.
One more requirement, in Bex Query, I am giving dislay as "Key and Text" but in Webi, i get only "Text" for that object. I have to explicitply drag and use the Object - key (detail object of that particular dimension). Is there a way to get both Key and Text in Webi using a single object.

It sounds like the iPodf is seening the iTunes libary as a new libary.

On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.
If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually.

This sounds more like a Windows question, than a Firefox question. When you say that an image shows up every time you open your computer, do you mean every time you turn on your computer, or every time you start Firefox?

You can't delete the Photo Library. The iPhone stores photos the same way iPhoto does on a Mac. All photos are synced to your Photo Library. The various albums/folders merely contain pointers to the actual photos which are in your Photo Library, they are not duplicates.
