    What do you want to do specifically.  They are two different document formats - one is PDF, the other DOC or DOCX.  In what way do you wish to "add" ad PDF to a word document. You can embed a mini version within a document (copy it and paste it from within the x.doc) but that's a pretty hokey looking solution.
    Oh, its mostly irrelevant if its office 2004,8 or 11 - they all do this more or less the same way.

  • How do I add a PDF file for download to my iWeb page?

    How do I add a PDF file for download to my iWeb page?
    I have created one using Apples Pages program.
    Thanks!

    Hi-
    You need to create a text link to the file...
    On your page, type a word that you want to be the link... then select the word, and in the inspector pane, click the link tab (the arrow on the far right) and check "enable as hyperlink." Then choose "file" from the dropdown menu and a chooser box will open for you to locate the file on your hard drive.
    Choose the file by clicking "open" once it's located. Then the next time you publish, the file will be uploaded and linked to!
    Hope this helps... I think I got all the steps in there!

  • How do I add a "PDF printer"  print to PDF so that I can create PDFs from any source I can print ?

    How do I add a "PDF printer"  print to PDF so that I can create PDFs from any source I can print ?
    I am using ADOBE Reader X Thanks

    Pat;  using Windows you can create a "PDF printer" which is a virtual device that you can select when you want to create an Adobe PDF file from anything you normally would print to hardcopy.  As an example if I were on a webpage article that spanned two or three pages so a screen capture wouldn't really work, if I had a "Adobe PDF Printer" I would select that as my default printer and then print the webpage article.  Instead of the webpage article going to a real printer and producing hardcopy, the Adobe PDF printer would ask me for a file name and then "print" the file by creating an Adobe PDF file.  Does that help ?  Best regards,  Doug

  • How do I add downloadable PDF files to my web site?

    Help!
    I'm creating a web site, and I need to add two buttons that, when clicked, will download two different PDF files. I have absolutely NO IDEA how to do this!!! Not a clue!
    I'm using actionscript 3 and Flash CS4.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you!
    Kelly

    Thank you everyone for your response!!!
    I found this code on a tutorial :
    var getFile:URLRequest=new URLRequest("http://www.my_website_name.com/my_pdf_file_name.pdf");
    pdf_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, getMyFile);
    function getMyFile(event:MouseEvent):void {
    navigateToURL(getFile,"_blank");
    This code downloads a zipped file perfectly! However, it won't download or even bring up the pdf file. (I thought something might be wrong with the pdf file. I renamed it, used a completely different pdf file; nothing! I still get a blank page.)
    Tiago, I tried implementing your code too... I know this should work!
    I really appreciate all of your help!!! Thank you! Thank you!

  • How do I add a PDF into a Topic in RobHelp 9?

    I have been asked to add PDFs into a user guide which is in RoboHelp 9.  I am unable to figure out how to insert the PDF into my topic.  How can this be accomplished or is this impossible to do?
    Thank you.

    Hi and welcome to the RH community.
    Are you saying you want a link to a PDF? If so, the way I handle this is to add a hyperlink to the PDF which automatically imports the PDF and places it as a Baggage File in the Project Manager pod. When you add the hyperlink, just click the down arrow next to the "Link to" field and select File.

  • How do you add a PDF to an created folder?

    I was able to add PDFs of similar topics to one folder on my iPad, now I seem to be having issues doing it, or I may have forgotten how to, but I've tried everything.... I think. Please help.

    Before I was able to move files that were in the recent tab, or the acrobat.com tab into the documents tab on the adobe reader app on my iPad, now I'm having issues doing this. Can someone please help me with this. I know how to move documents into a folder once in the documents tab, but getting it into the documents tab is my issue.

  • How do I add a PDF to iPad 2 with Yosemite and iOS 8.1?

    I recently migrated my iPad 2 to iOS 8.1 and my iMac to from Snow Leopard (10.6.8, I think it was) to Yosemite (10.10). Now it is not at all obvious how to copy a PDF from the iMac to the iPad 2, and I could not find instructions in the online help.
    Before migrating to Yosemite, I could copy a PDF to Books in iTunes and then sync the iMac and iPad 2, and I would get a copy of the PDF on the iPad 2. Now iTunes no longer has a place for Books (which used to include PDFs)—its Books are only iBooks or audiobooks. I can copy a PDF to iBooks, but when I sync the iMac and iPad 2, I do not get a copy of the PDF on the iPad 2.
    I might be able to transfer the PDF to the iPad 2 using DropBox, but if there is a way that does not involve the cloud, I would prefer it. I cannot use DropBox on my iPad 2 unless I'm in a wifi zone, and I don't have one at home.
    Does anyone know a way to copy a PDF from an iMac running Yosemite to an iPad 2 running iOS 8.1 that does not involve DropBox or a wifi connection?
    Thanks,
    Sheila

    I didn't get a chance to try this today, because the PDF that I emailed to myself wasn't on my iPad when I looked for it there—that is, the message that I sent to myself wasn't there. I probably made some stupid mistake. However, I discovered that I can open iBooks on my iMac, click PDFs, drag the PDF into PDFs on iBook, and sync the Books on the iMac and iPad. Before clicking Sync, I have to find the list of Books (which includes PDFs) on the iPad and select the new PDF. The difference between what I was doing on Snow Leopard and what I am doing on Yosemite is that on Snow Leopard, I could drag the PDF into iTunes (under Books) and on Yosemite I have to drag the PDF into iBooks (under PDFs). The sync'ing part is the same.

  • How do I add a -pdf.acsm book to my iPad library?

    Help....
    After lengthy reading on an independent bookstore site (Powell's in Portland, OR) I purchased and downloaded 2 e-books to my iMac (10.6.8; Intel Core 2 Duo) and then tried to put them into my iTunes library to add to my iPad 2, whose software I just updated.
    Nothing seems to work.
    any suggestions?

    Mskathk-
    A websearch found a note that the pdf.acsm is not the book, but only the "key".  Apparently it requires that the Adobe Digital Edition program has been installed on your computer.  If the program is installed, double clicking the pdf.acsm file should download the book.
    Suppose you are successful in using Adobe Digital Edition program to download the actual books.  Are you sure they will be in a format that the iPad can use?
    I'm not sure what all formats iBooks can read, but have been able to read epub and pdf books downloaded from different websites.

  • How do i add a pdf to ibooks

    I subscribe to the digital edition of Photoshop Elements Techniques magazine, and I download it as a pdf on my MacBook Pro. I would like to use  iBooks as an easy way to read pdf's on both my MBP and my iPad. When I try to drag a PET isisue to iBooks, or import it from within iBooks, I get an error message saying it is not the right format. I have done it in the past, and have also added recipes I have saved as a pdf and successfully added them to iBooks, but cannot remember the how i did it .
    I realize I want to use iBooks is a way that it is perhaps not intended to be used, but this is a really good way to collect pdfs in one place to use across my devices. If someone knows of a better way, I'm all ears. Thanks for your help!

    Control click the pdf > Open in ... iBooks. It is possible that the pdf you are having trouble adding to iBooks is incompatible with it, but most pdfs can be added. I've never struck a pdf yet that can't be opened in iBooks.

  • How Do I Add A PDF That Can Be Filled Out And Submitted To My Email

    I just finished converting an application to PDF using the forms wizard. This works really well as it makes it so they can only fill in the required information and not alter any of the other form. Right now I just have it posted as a downloadable file that they can save fill out and email back in. However what I'm wanting to do is have it where they can just open the PDF in another tab, fill it out and hit submit and have that automatically sent to my email account. What I've done is use:
    <a href="digital_application.pdf">Click To View</a>
    This in essence will open the application in another tab of the browser where they can fill everything out. However thus far their only option is either a "Print" or "Save" button. I'd like to add a "Submit" button somehow to where it's emailed to an account I've set up, or have it save to a file on the server. I don't know if this is something I have to code into the site, or If I can make a button on the PDF itself, or there's an option to make the PDF display a "Submit" button, just need a little help. Thanks!

    You use the 'submit' method to submit the PDF's FDF to web based script page and have that page perform the email function.

  • How do you add "Adobe PDF" as a "printer" in Office 2010/Windows 7

    Although with most of the programs you can just save documents and spread sheets as PDFs, in Power Point, it does not allow you the option to save a slide as a PDF with the notes displayed in the PDF, only the slide is transformed to PDF, the notes do not show on them.
    Goal: To have notes and slide saved as a PDF
    Challenge: Just saving the slide as a PDF does not display notes
    Solution in past: Print to Adobe PDF using the Print function and "print" using the notes or outline options in the print window
    Problem: ADOBE PDF is not an option in my printer section anymore.
    Question: How do I make PDF a "Printer" in with Office 2010 or in general using Windows 7

    You make not mention of Acrobat and what version you might have. For Office 2010 to do as you want, you need PDF Maker and will have to have AA X for Office 2010. To get the Adobe PDF printer you could install either AA9 or AAX in Win7. Some folks have been successful with AA8 in Win 7. If you don't have Acrobat, then it is time to order it.
