How do I call create a public function to make something happen in another .swf

Hi guys,
I am trying to create a public function, i have a decument class with all of my variables in it, I have worked out how to bring in external .swf files, now I need a way to have an even trigger something on a separate .swf
So at the moment I have a flunction that works on the parent
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, mousePosition);
function mousePosition(event:MouseEvent) {
if(mouseX>=125)
navigator.visible=false;
trace(mouseX);
So now how do I make this function public?
When I try to put it into my document class I get errors because the navigator MC is only on the main timeline. (not in the other swf's that I am opening)
I am trying to work out how to call the function using a string in my doc class
public var nav1:String="navigator";
Then the function
public function resetnav()
String(nav1+".visible=false;");
Which seemed like a good idea, but it doesn't work..
Can you guys help me out here?

Hey sorry I spoke too soon, I thought my code was working but my mouse tracking code is actually working off the main timeline. I sill wan to be able to use your examples though, what is the go with psuedo code? SWF1ToSWF2Connection what is the correct dot syntax for this?

Actually, my basic aim is to call the Main VI, containing a SubVI.....
Now, I want to call my main VI from this SubVI...recursively!!!!!..but whenever I tried to put the MainVI in this SubVI..an error message pops out saying recursive calling is not possible.
I also tried using "Call by reference" but tht also didn't worked...an d error is somewat like...VI is invalid..or type matching..or state matching error.
Here, Im attaching the snapshot of the MainVI... Im calling the SUBvi from it... It is running GOOD n FINE...
But prob arrives when I call the Main from the SUBvi, which looks like same as MainVI(with little differences).
I hope, Im clear in my words n not being ambigous.

Now i want to call the the function getUsername from a function inside the class EntityImplEx - both classes are in the business model in different class-pathes.
How can I call the function getUsername from AppModule?

You probably don't want to call a function in your UI from your AM.
Doing this will break the MVC design pattern and will make your AM depends on a specific UI page.
The way to communicate between the two is through service methods on the AM that are invoked from the UI layer.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to hide/show list columns based on specify the permission for Users, SharePoint Groups or Active Directory Groups.

How do I make something happen only once on a true condition in a loop

So I have a way of doing this, but it uses a dreaded local variable, and seems to me that it might be unreliable.
What I want to happen is to have something happen only once on a condition that will remain true. What I need is to set something after a given amount of time, but I only want to set it once after that time has been reached. Problem is, if I use a range, it could be true more than once, if I use a greater than, it'll be true every time after the set time, and if I use an equal, there's no way to know that the particular millisecond value will even appear in the loop.
Maybe I'm wrong in even using those comparison functions... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. See the attached vi for a better look at what I'm trying to do... (v7.0)

The "Idle" state that the help file refers to is the "non-running"
state. The Top Level VI must end execution before any "First Time" VIs will
return TRUE after being called initially.
Therefore, if your application calls a subVI at the beginning of the
Test portion, on the next iteration of the loop it will return FALSE
from that subVI, since your main VI never stopped running, and received
a TRUE from the "First Time" on the initial test loop.
If you have code that you want to execute only on the first run of your
entire program, "First Time" should work fine. If you have code that
you only want to execute on the first iteration of just the Test loop,
the "First Time" VI is not ideal.
I think that shift registers are going to provide the best solution,
however you mentioned that for your particular application that is not
ideal. Could you describe a little bit more why shift registers are
problematic?

Error when calling create and update functions on logical data service

I receive the following error when trying to call the createCustomerDetailResponse method from our dataservice. Note that the operation referenced in the error is createCustomerDetail rather than the actual method name 'createCustomerDetailResponse'. I think there is a definitely a problem with my ALDSP webservice. I deleted and regenerated my .ws file, and when I test the createCustomerDetailResponse webservice operation directly through the ALDSP IDE I get the same error.

i followed this procedure to publish workflows in my-sites but even after activating workflow feature am unable to get created workflow templates in my-site.
Create a workflow and associate it with your content type in the hub.
Before publishing this content type, export the reusable workflow and import it in all the subscriber site collections or deploy your workflow to the farm if it is a farm solution
Activate your workflow feature
Now, your workflow is available in the hub as well as all the subscriber site collections.
Publish the content type. The workflow association will be publish.

As I understand, you encountered the issue after activating workflow feature.
Per my test, I can get the created workflow templates
after activating workflow feature by workflow 2010.
1. Check if you use SharePoint 2010 workflow because SharePoint 2013 workflow doesn’t work.
2. Reactive the workflow template feature in your site collection.
3. If it still doesn’t work, open the site collection you want to use the workflow in the SharePoint designer and associated the workflow with the content type in the site collection. After these steps, you can use workflow in your all site collection.

Acrobat versions prior to 9 had a bug which allowed you to do what you did. In Acrobat 9 this bug was fixed. In order to do what you want you need to certify (apply special certification digital signature with your certificate -- it is "Certify (Visible/Invisible)" choice in the "Work with Certificates") your document first. In the process of certification you can specify which modification permissions you allow the users of your document to make after signing. Certification signature must be the first signature in the document.

I think you are going completely astray with you z-function module for IDoc processing.
If you look at TABLES parameter METERREADINGRESULTS (type BAPIEABLU ) of BAPI_MTRREADDOC_UPLOAD you will find many of the requested fields already:

Field EABL-ZMESSAGE appears to be custom field (at least I cannot find it on ECC 6.0). If this field was added using include CI_EABL then you probably can get these values into the BAPI using the EXTENSIONIN parameter.
Check routine CHECK_UPLOADRECORDS in the BAPI which allows two extension structures:
- BAPI_TE_EABL
- BAPI_TE_EOSB
Not surprisingly BAPI_TE_EABL contains the include CI_EABL.

You can define a Java Bean (I presume you know the rules to write a Java Bean) and send the read value as parameter to the Bean and then call a function in the Bean from the JSP.

Need to obtain updateable ResultSet via call to PL/SQL function

I'm using JDBC and the Oracle JDBC driver to call a PL/SQL function that returns a SYS_REFCURSOR. I do this via a CallableStatement object and then cast the output parameter to a ResultSet object. However, I want this ResultSet object I end up with to be updateable. The following code throws an exception stating "Invalid operation for read only resultset: updateString ":

// . . .So even though, I create the CallableStatement such that ResultSets should be updateable, it's not allowing me to do any updates. Also, in case you're wondering, inside the PL/SQL function, the query on which the cursor is based is a select statement which does specify "for update" at the end.
I can get it to work as follows using a Statement object that executes the SELECT statement directly instead of a CallableStatement that executes a PL/SQL function:

I'm still scratching my head about this one, just not sure it's doable, but I'll point out something, maybe it will give you a clue...
In your code, you have:
cstmt2 = con.prepareCall("{? = call get_upload_entry_for_update(?)}",
                         ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY,
                         ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);I don't think the ResultSet parameters do anything towards your goal of getting an updatable result set via the returned cursor, those parameters affect the result set produced if you were to call:
ResultSet rs2 = cstmt2.executeQuery();and not the result set generated by:
rs = (ResultSet) cstmt2.getObject(1);Futhermore, while the "FOR UPDATE" is almost certainly something you want to do, it also doesn't affect the cursor (I think) but merely locks the affected rows in the DB.
You might try calling rs.getType() and rs.getConcurrency() on the ResultSet you get from getObject, though I suspect they'll merely confirm the bad news that the cursor your getting back isn't right...
You also might try the Oracle-specific getCursor call:
rs = ((OracleCallableStatement)cstmt2).getCursor (1)instead of getObject, though I don't think it will help...

Thanks to Dave Sawyer for posting information about re-downloading an app which has been deleted. I deleted the app from iTunes. Then, when I synched, iTunes asked me if I wanted the items on my ipod touch copied back into iTunes. I said yes and then synched.
Readdledocs is now working again. It is no longer frozen. However, I have learned my lesson. I will download only pdf's from now on. I don't think it works so well with epub files. The text reflow feature of Readdledocs is exactly what I need to use for my work documents on my ipod touch.
