How do I decline an invite on a shared ical calendar?

My team uses a shared iCal calendar for our team events.  How can you decline an event in a shared calendar without deleting it completely off the calendar for everyone else?

I don't personally use shared calendars, but this article appears to address your question: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2683.

  • How can I remove "invitations" from a shared iCloud calendar when I am not actually invited to the event?

How can I remove invitations from a shared iCloud calendar when I am not actually invited to the event?
My wife and I share our calendars and she uses it very frequently. Every time she enters a new event on her calendar I get a notice (invitation?) in the Calendar app, even though I am not invited to the event she created.
I would like to continue being able to share our calendars but I do not want the hassle of an Invitation popping up every time she enters an event.
    Thanks!

You can sync photos and itunes content with one and only one computer at a time.  When you sync to another, it will erase the current content and  replace with content from the new computer.

  • How can I get Siri to not see some iCal calendars?

When I ask to see my calendar, Siri shows calendars that I want to supress. I have some iCal calendars with misc info (warranties, medicines, etc.) that I turn off in iCal, off on the phone calendar. But Siri shows me (for ex: "19 meetings"" when I ask to see my calendar. How can I get Siri to avoid those calendars I have turned off elsewhere? Thanks!

If it is your own conference bridge you can create a new contact named "My Bridge" and enter your 1800 number along with a "wait" command and pass code and #.  It would look something like this 1-800-555-5555;12345678#.  This way when you tell Siri to call "My Bridge" she'll dial and then you'll notice an option in the lower left to dial the pass code.  Press that and you're all set. You can do the same for frequent conference bridges you connect to.  Hope this helps.

  • Mail invitations going into wrong iCal Calendar

I have been following the iCal invitation threads but have not seen this question or answer. I ham happy with the mail invitations automatically being entered into iCal (lepoard 10.5.2) and it seems to do it reliably. The problem is that all invitations are being entered into my wife's calendar not mine and since they result as un-editable event i can't move it. Is there a way to have imail/ical automatically enter the event but direct it to a specific calendar?
you may ask- my wife's calendar shows up first on the list of calendars in ical. i was planning on renaming it as i thought it may direct all invitations to the first on the list.

  • How can I allow multiple users to edit a single shared iCal calendar?

Is it possible to allow multiple users to edit a single shared iCal calendar? I also want to provide different permissions to those users. Is this possible through .MAC? Is it possible on Mac OSX Server?

I would like 2 agenda synced through .Mac but it does not work.
I have 2 computers and 2 laptops. A very simple agenda with 3 calenders. Myself my partner and the office calender. I want to publish my calender and that of my partner. The office calender I would like to sync so that we can change the office calender at any location.
I set up sync only for iCall and have a .Mac account. When I change anything on any of the calenders in iCall nothing happens on any of my other locations. Even though the locations are registered as synced. I can see the sync wheel turning but at the end of it the calenders are not synced.
At this moment I fully understand the publish and unpublished calenders but have no clue what so ever what syncing does for iCall. There seems to be no functionality to it. It does not transport any calender info over .Mac. There is no visable check to see what is happening and the process of syncing is not transperent. Lots of my friends go to me for advise on Apple issues but as far as sync wether iCall or Addressbook I always tell them sync does not work and I have no clue why others have it working. I haven't met any people here in Holland either that got in working. I suppose with iCall you have to get third party software to share calenders editable calenders. Really hopeless situation, wish Apple would just have a manual stating what sync can do and what it can not. Hours wasted on this issue trying to get it to work.
Hope anyone here can help out.

  • How to add a Calender Group in a shared Calender

    Hi,
I have an iCal server running.
I have an account "shared calender"
that will be shared between multiple computers.
The server works and all the events entered on one client show up on the other clients upon synch.
But how can I add "calender groups" to this shared iCal ?
When adding a new "calender group" it wll be added to my local account not the shared account....
Googling did not come up with anything useful
    Any hints ?
    Thanks in advance

  • UNABLE TO CONNECT/ OTHER PERSON DECLINED YOUR INVITATION

    PLEASE HELP!!
Im working in Tangiers and desperate to see my partner. I have tried in several hotel broadband wireless networks and I keep getting the unable to connect or the other person has declined your invitation. This is happening with other colleagues also. What can we do??
Both our computers firewalls are off. Is this right?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I, too, have experienced the same problem. I have a master account, as do all of my iChat contacts, and when any of them try to contact me, or vice versa, we are unable to connect via video or sound (only via text chat). They are all able to connect with one other but not with my machine at home. I'm able to successfully connect via video or sound at my office, so it must be how it's set up; I have checked the firewall etc. but am unable to find the correct combination of settings.
Here's a strange one: I am able to connect iChat successfully using video & sound with two machines I have at home which are sharing a broadband connection via an ethernet hub, but none of them can connect with someone outside of the building.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks.
various macs   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   too much to mention, i probably have it all..!

  • How can I decline a single update for a PC.

    Hi,
How can I decline an update for a single PC?
One of the updates keeps failing and I can't stop it.
I don't want to decline it for everyone because other machines will need it.
    I can't see the option.
    Thanks

Target the update to a specific group of machines.  Machines that you don't want to get that update, leave out of that group.

  • How to hide/decline updates in Mavericks?

I have two updates in the AppStore showing: iMovie10 (which I uninstalled and don't want back) and iTunes (which I don't use but can't uninstall).  Is it possible to hide or decline these items?  I searched on this topic and found that Apple --> Software update is supposed to permit hiding by right-clicking on the Update button(s) in the App Store.

    http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6126_102-585347/how-do-i-decline-reject-a-pending-up date-from-the-app-store/
I don't get the Show Details prompt, however and right clicking on the Update button does not bring up any options to hide/decline.  Perhaps the process is different in the Mavericks .  Advice appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Captfred,
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately no hide option is available by right clicking the Motion 5.0..4. update.
Seems strange that this does not appear to have been included, unless I'm missing something.

  • Invited user did not get an invite, how do I resend the invite?

Under team management I invited multiple users. They all received an invite - except for one person. How do I resend that invite? I have cancelled the invitation and re-invited the person - but they have still not recieved the invite! Help!!!

    Hi,
Are all the Users using the same Email Domain or are you sending Invitation to User's Personal Email Id.
If Same Email Domain then it should have gone in Inbox as the rest got the Invitation
If Personal Email Id's then please ask the user to check their Spam Email Folder.

  • CS Review - How many reviewers can I invite?

Hi all, I have been reserching about this type of sevices-interface for the last 3 weeks, since in my new job there are paying a lot of money to a company called LimeHouse, which has an online application similar to cs review. I am planning to present this product to my supervisor next week, so I need some info about CS Review (which I think is magical for publishing works since is integrated to InDesign). My first question is...
How many reviewers can I invite?
I know you need an Adobe ID account, which is free. I know if I sign in for the PLUS services I get up to 20 participant, but this means I can't invite to review my document to more than 20 people? Most of my work has to be uploaded to the web since I work for a goverment office and the public has to participate in the review as well as teammates.
    I hope I was clear.
    Thanks
    Jorge.

    Hi
There is no limit to the number of reviewers you can invite to your reviews.  With a review open in the web client, click "Share File", enter their email address, and click send. They will receive an email invitation to the review. If there is an Adobe ID associated with their email they will be taken to a screen where they can login.  If they do not have an Adobe ID, they will be prompted to sign up for a Adobe ID/free Acrobat.com account. This process for this sign up/sign in ensures that there is verified identity with those people you collaborate with and login/password to access to reviews.
Another tip- You can see your invitees status by clicking on their name in the collaborator bar at the bottom of the review.
Where did you read about 20 participants? If this posted somewhere I'd like get it corrected.
On a side note- I'm curious as to how many participants do people typically invite their reviews?
    Hope this helps!
    Mike

  • How to activate ichat - the invite icon will not show

how to activate "invite" in ichat - it won't allow me to click on it.

    Hi,
How are you trying to Invite ?
    Text Chats
Double click any Buddy in the list should open a chat window for Text chat.
    You can now start typing.
Alternatively you can highlight a Buddy and then use the icons at the Bottom of the Buddy List.
    The "A" is Text chat.
Another alternative is to go to the File Menu and  > New Chat
You then get a Pop up to offer any of the accounts you have set up and a place for the Buddy's name.
You can also Right/Control click a Buddy or Highlight a Buddy and go to the Buddies menu.
    Audio Only Chats
Fo this the Show Audio Status  option in the view Menu needs to be ticked and the Microphone Enabled item in the Video menu (Will read Audio if no  Camera)
Then most of the options above will work.
The Buddy List direct approach is to click their Audio Icon rather than the whole Line.
    VIdeo Chats
As above with Show Video Status nd Camera Enabled ticked in the two menus
    Group chats/Chatrooms
Go to the File Menu > Go to Chat
Enter room name to either create a new room or enter an existing one.
Go to the VIew Menu > Show Participants.
Drag Buddies to the slide out Drawer.
    Send text to Invite them
Do you need more info ?
