How do I disable system error messages?

My app crashes from time to time, but I have a script that watches the process and retarts it if needed, no harm done. What I can´t seem to get rid of is a message saying:
“Application XXX has quit unexpectedly”
How can I turn off this very useful, but sometimes annoying feature?

CrashReporterPrefs seems to require Tiger.
Any ideas of how to do it in Panther???
You should be able to set it from the command line. Look at this Technical Q & A from the ADC web site.
I think you'll want something like:

    Prerequisites
    You have started the message monitor on the initial screen of the PCK and are in Background Processing.
    Features
    Archiving
    You require two archiving sessions to archive messages:
    ●     One session to write the messages to the archive
    ●     One session to delete the persisted messages that have been archived
    To do this, you schedule an archiving job, which implicitly schedules the sessions to write to the archive and delete the archived messages.
    You can define one or more rules for each archiving job; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be archived by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    All information that is displayed for a message in message monitoring is archived, in addition to the audit log for each message.
    Deleting
    A standard delete job is created automatically. It runs once a day. You can schedule additional delete jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Restarting
    Instead of restarting messages with errors manually with message monitoring, you can schedule a job to automatically restart these messages. This is possible for all messages for which the number of defined restart attempts has been exceeded (messages with the system error status).
    You can define one or more rules for each job to restart messages; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be restarted by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    Rescheduling
    A standard job to reschedule messages is created automatically. The job runs once a day and ensures that messages lost as a result of database failure, for example, are rescheduled. You can schedule additional rescheduling jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.

    Till now we have seen how to resubmit/restart message that failed in Integration Engine.  One a message makes it from Integration Engine to Adapter Engine, the message is flagged as checked in Integration Engine. The status of the message in Adapter engine does not effect the processed state in Integration Engine. Now if this message was asynchronous, XI will by default try to restart the message 3 times at intervals of 5 minutes before the status of the message is changed from Waiting to System Error .
    *how can i schedule a job to automatically restart these messages with errors?

  • How to handle the system error messages?

    Hi...
       I was doing File to RFC scenario with BPM. If i give the correct values for the Bapi Input it is working . If i give the some wrong input to the BAPI, it is not executing and the scenario is stopping. If i click on PE , it is going to the Inbound Queue.
    If this type of issue occurs i need to capture the system error and store it in a database. Could you pelase help in this issue.

  • N97 system error message when starting Maps

    Hi all,
    I do get a system error message when starting the maps app.
    I know that this is not a new topic but I did not find after intensive search a solution.
    - Firmware is updated
    - soft reset done
    - it seems that the app is not installed
    - have deleted the cities folder and the qf file
    Unfortunately no change - maps app does not start.
    Not sure that this is important but I want to mention this for the sake of completeness:
    - the maps did work once
    - when I started them the next day and I was at a different location it still showed the location of the previous evening abnd did not recognize where the phone was
    - after some time I could not start the the maps app.
    Any help greatly appreciated!

This phone is driving me crazy...so many problems.. latest among others is, opening maps it gives me the error like you all mentioned above.. so how and where do I go to download what you mentioned... and I did try to go into"download" and my phone just says I don't have enough memory to download anything..     I don't know if this will work, but I'd try logging in to an admin account, going to your main library (not user library), opening it, opening Application Support, selecting iPhoto, hold down the command key and press i, click on the lock in the lower left, entering the password and making sure you have Read & Write privileges for System and Admin.

  • Finding a System Error Message (reflected in communication channel)

    I am working on release 3.0. I have found a System Error Message reflected in JDBC communication channel due to a data problem. I assume that this message is old and I can not find the message. It seems that I need the exact date and time when the message was created in order to find this message. I would like to find the payload to view the data and cancel the message.
    Does anyone have any tips on how to find this sort of message?

    Hi All,
    I have nearly 3000 messages those were got System Error in Integration Engine process, but when i check messages in SXMB_MONI all are success and written to target folders also.There is no problem absolutely.
    Now i just want to cancel those System Error messages from RWB--Message Monitor to keep system green and do not want to see those system error messages again.
    Iam not able to cancel those messages from RWM, it is saying that User and pwd incorrect but iam providing correct one only.
    I went to details of that system error message from Message Monitor, i took message id and filtered with that in SXMB_MONI. i got the message with error state.Iam able to cancel that from MONI but not from RWB which is fine and disappearing from RWB list.
    the thing is i can't copy each and every message id by opening details button for every message
    How can i proceed for this. please advice me

    For example iam able to see system error message in RWB--Message Monitor under Integration Engine at 9:30
    when i execute SXMB_MONI for the same time and see, there is no error message for that able to see success.
    When i took message id from RWB--message monitor and filter that in MONI means it is showing me the error message.
    I can able to cancel it from MONI which is fine. but this way i have 3000 messages in RWB--Message monitor under IE.
    How to copy and paste then filter those error messages in MONI???this is pain process to copy each and every one by one
    Iam not able to get those if i filter with the status group as System Error manual Restart Possible criteria

    It sounds like you are unable to print from your computer to your printer. I would run through the troubleshooting steps in this article:
    Troubleshooting printer issues in OS X
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3147
    Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
    Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
    Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
    Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
    Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
    If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
    Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
    If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again.  Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.

    Is there a way to disable displaying system error messages that may occur when a BAPI returns no data?

    Currently, you cannot do this, since the coding looks for any error that's returned from the backend system. If it finds it, it pops up a window showing the error that was returned. We are currently working on a new feature that will enable the modeler to model errors also, there we are thinking about letting the modeler decide whether to show his/hers own error or show no error at all.
    I can't tell you exactly in which SP this feature will be, but it has high priority.
