It really depends on whose content you are trying to display. Besides our own URL portlet, you can integrate third-party content if they provide a rdf, rss, etc. (content definition file). Sites like CNN or SecurityFocus.com provide these files for syndicating their content.
You might also want to read up on "Multi Agent Technology", I think www.multiagent.com is one if the sites (check google or something).

it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
Lets do some divide and conquer:
Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.

Is there a way to display external HTML content inside a SWF movie?

IE if i wanted to have an 800x600 flash movie that i could display cnn.com or something of that sort. Is it possible?

A second option is to display the HTML content over the top of the Flash content.
If is project is to be displayed as a Web page... it's all HTML anyway.... some of which may be Flash content, some that is regular HTML content. So it's not that hard to add in a little more regular HTML content.
In your Flash movie, leave a blank space with the exact dimensions/location of the HTML content you want to display.
Then using HTML/CSS z-indexing, stack the HTML content over the top of that blank space... making it LOOK like the HTML is a part of the Flash.
If you want to display part of another Web site like cnn.com, you could do that in an iframe.

I have created an External Web Service, and I am trying to call the web service from SAP. I watched some tutorial and did everything like them, but I am getting this error:
SOAP:1,023 SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("ICF Error when receiving the response: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED")
Can someone tell me how to solve this problem ?

Mac Mini Server won't display new web content

I have my server up and running and my webpage (jacrouch.com) is up and running as well with coldfusion and SQL working. I have had some issues with a specific SWF file containing three links that disappears from several pages, but is working on one page. I have attempted to correct this and made changes to ensure that the SWF file is indeed working properly on my development machine.
I uploaded the corrected files, but the web content does not change. I have completely deleted old content and ensured that the new files contain the corrections, but still the old files are the ones displayed on web.
Any help is appreciated.

OK. I just had a brainfart...
apparently, when you run coldfusion on a server (this is my first time doing this), your server root folder as well as the coldfusion (wwwroot) root folder need to match. I just had to copy and paste my files into coldfusion and it runs great!

Power Query - How to format options for Web.Content()?

I am trying to access a web api which can return data in either JSON or XML. When connecting with Power Query I get a "400, Bad request" error though and I suspect it could be due to Power Query not explicitly providing accepted Content-Types
in the request. Anyone know how to add options to the Web.Content() request?

I believe the default reponse content-type is JSON. It doesn't serve Power Query with anything but an error response though and with the help of Network Monitor I caught a bit more details (in Swedish).

Possible to display external web page??

Hi everyone,
is it possible to display an external webpage by, for example, specifying the URL of the page? It would work a bit like frames.
I have a table with a list of reports, each of which links to a "report". all data is obtained from a database.
We need to be able to click a report and have it load it into some sort of panel or layout container based on the URL. I know how to do it using links in the table to open a new page. but i do not want the user to navigate away from the page or have a popup when selecting a link. i'd place the "report placeholder" in a layout panel with scroll css settings.
I wouldn't mind working with frames either.
could anyone suggest a nice mechanism to either load an external page in the same one being viewed or a solution using frames (is it even possible to use frames in JSC2 and JSF??)?
i don't need anyone to give me a whole code, just the idea behind developing something like this.

I did the following to display an external website:
StaticText st = new StaticText();
st.setText("<iframe id='urlFrame' frameborder='0' src='http://www.yahoo.fr' height='100%' width='100%'>test.....</iframe>");
st.setEscape(false);
However, I read that it is also possible by putting a markup component with tag attribute set to "iframe" but I did not have a chance to test it yet.

How do I display the web address within Adobe PDF Reader 10 & IE 9 64-bit?

Until a week ago, I was using IE 9 32-bit version together with Adobe PDF Reader 10. When I would try to open a PDF file from within the browser, it would and the Web Address would continue to display at the top of the window while browing the PDF document. I could then continue using IE 9 and move on to other pages and etc...
Now, I have swtiched to using the IE 9 64-bit version. What happens now is that when I enter an address in the web browser and it's a direct link to a PDF file example: https://www.technicalindicatorindex.com/newsletter/bpdf/TII_Newsletter_1686a_10.11.11_7055 475115.pdf ), it opens up with no problems, but I no longer see the IE 9 Web Address shown anywhere. So in essence, that page becomes a Adobe PDF program window and I loose my IE 9 access. I guess the PDF files are no longer displayed within the browser (althought I have it check ON).
Am I missing something?

No, you don't need PI or the Java stack for this. You can create an ABAP proxy using the WSDL file for the web service and call the web service using the proxy class in an ABAP program. You can transform the XML response to internal tables/structures/variables using a transformation template that you create.

You can do anything in jsp that you can with html, javaScript, xhtml, xsl, there is no difference, just write your xsl the same as you would for a static page.
