How do I download music I have purchased (currently on iTunes Match) onto my hard drive so I can sync to my iPod

A couple of years ago i uploaded all the music on my hard drive onto iTunes Match.  At that point I synced my iPod classic with the music on my hard drive.
Since then I have purchased lots more music that is now stored in iTunes Match rather than my hard drive.  When i go to sync my iPod clearly its not picking up any new music as its not on my hard drive.
Is is possible do my new music (the stuff I have bought on other devices and is within Ituens match) onto my hard drive so i can udte and sync my iPod?
Mant thanks

You can copy iTunes purchases from your iPad to your computer's iTunes by connecting the iPad to it and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
You might also (depending upon what country that you are in) be able to redownload them directly on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage

How do I re-download music I have purchased on i-tunes back on my i-tunes library?

    Hi
Unfortunately, there is no way to re-download purchased music, like you can with Apps.
However, dependant upon how much music you are talking about, you could contact the iTunes Store Support team, to see if they can help you

how do i download music from my ipad to my itunes on my computer

You can copy iTunes purchases by connecting your iPad and doing File >Transfer Purchases. Music bought from other sites or copied from CDs can't be copied to your computer via iTunes - if the music isn't already on your computer and you haven't got a backup, then you will need to find a third-party program that can copy content off an iPad.

Within iTunes use the add folder to library option available on file menu. Select the folder to add. iTunes will add the file to iTunes library. Depending on settings, iTunes may copy the file to iTUnes folder location.

  • How can i make apple tv 3 store all my purchased movies and tv shows onto a hard drive somewhere in my house

Currently my apple tv 3 downloads movies/shows when I want to watch them.  I'd prefer if it downloaded everything already and it is all available locally without having to download gigabytes from the internet.
Q: How can i make apple tv 3 store all my purchased movies and tv shows onto a hard drive somewhere in my house?
    a) Impossible
    b) Link my apple tv 3 to a computer running itunes
    c) Link my apple tv 3 to my Apple Time Machine
    d) purchase an external USB drive and plug it directly to the apple tv 3
    e) purchase a NAS drive and configure the apple tv 3 to use it
    f) [your answer here]
    Thank you,

    Hi! Dwagner, once again ...
I've just got my Mac last friday ... i'm still getting amazed with this new world to me ... eehe .. quite different ... but
... "i can do it, i can do it" eheeh
i'm in that period that a new question appears at almost every mouse click ... lol
so ... can you help me (once again) ..
you said you had your hard drive with this settings...
"You can partition for OSX (extended Journal) - read/write by only OSX or read only by Windows via BootCamp
You can partition for Windows (NTFS) - readable by only Windows
OR - you can format with ex-FAT and this is read/write capable for both operating systems."
how did you formated the partition in NTFS ? ... on the mac? using the "disk utility" ? or did you use another program to do so ...?
i hope i'm not "bugging" you ... this might be a silly question for most of people ... but right now ... it's a major question for me ... ehehe
    once again Obrigado (Thank You)

if my external hard drive is not connected to either of my machines, and I download something onto my iMac and then something different onto my Macbook, where are my machines going to be storing the new downloaded media
when the drive is not connected, +iTunes media folder location+ will default back to <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music/iTunes/iTunes music (or media)
and when I next connect the external hard drive how will I easily get the newly downloaded media onto the external HD
you'd have to point +iTunes media folder location+ back to the external via preferences > advanced > iTunes media folder location, then file > library, organize library > consolidate files
and essentially, to have it easily readable on both machines?
in that case it might be best to copy the entire iTunes folder to the external. then, on each machine, launch iTunes while pressing option on your keyboard. when prompted, click on +choose library+ and navigate to the iTunes folder on the external.
note only one iTunes can access the iTunes library @ a time !
also, make sure the external is mounted on either machine before launching iTunes.

We had a burglary last year and did have an iMac taken is it possible I can see if that is one of the 5 and if so how and where do I look and how can I remove it?

  • How do i put songs i have purchased in my itunes library into my husbands library on the same computer?

i have purchased songs on itunes and want to share them with my husband on his itunes account on the same computer,  how do i do this?

    Welcome to Apple Communities
You can't unless you use the same account. To import, select them and drag to the desktop. Finally, drag them to the other iTunes in the Mac

  • I have an itunes account and have an extensive library -on a computer that is no longer working...want to open my account and download music I have purchased to a different computer...how??

Have an itunes account on a computer that is currently not working. Just installed itunes on a new laptop. Want to transfer music from near dead computer to my laptop. I can't access the 'home sharing' button on other computer - so is there a way to get my itunes music library on this computer?

It depends what not working means - if the hard drive is working and you can access it say in a USB caddy you might be able to find the media files and copy over to the new iTunes, but it may depend on how your user accounts are stored.
Alternatively for iTunes store purchases, on the new computer open itunes and go to the store Home Page.  On the far right under QuickLinks you should find a Purchased category - this will let you redownload content from the 'cloud' if available in your country.

  • How do i download music that i purchased from my ipod to my laptop?

    ...

If the music is still on the iPod, then when connected to your computer's iTunes have you tried doing File > Transfer Purchases to see if that copies them over ?
If the music is no longer on the iPod, then if you are in US then you should be able to re-download music purchases from iTunes as long as they are still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase the music : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

  • How do I download movies I have purchased?

How do I download purchased DVDs onto Mac?

Do you mean download from the internet/iTunes? iTunes does not allow burning. If you're talking about physical disks, you will need to check on DRM/copyright issues; although you've purchased the DVDs, most companies embed digital rights management measures so there would be problems copying them and, in order not to violate the ToU here, we are not allowed to discuss these:
    Keep within the Law
No material may be submitted that is intended to promote or commit an illegal act.
Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise ‘work around’ digital rights management software or hardware. This includes conversations about ‘ripping’ DVDs or working around FairPlay software used on the iTunes Store.

To re-download your purchases from iTunes on your computer:
Go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free
