How do I find my printers IP address?

I'm on an iMac with a new HP 8610 printer asking for my IP address. Where would I find that?  Using Yosemite. Also, why wasn't that a selection on the menu for stating what OS we're using?
TIA

System Preferences>Network.  This is where you will find your IP address.
Also, why wasn't that a selection on the menu for stating what OS we're using?
There is one.  If you didn't complete it, someone else did it for you.
iMac, Other OS, 10.10.1 Yosemite

The only way to find out is by trying to setup a new iCloud account using the address you want, or creating an email alias in your current account.
    See: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a490a
It's highly unlikely that such a simple address is still available after over a decade of Apple letting people sign up for @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com addresses.

  • How do I find the valid IP address for the base station?

I am trying to install he Airport Extreme but I am receiving this message:  The wi-fi base station does not have a valid IP address. How do I find the valid IP address for the base station?

I have run an ethernet cable from the modem to my Mac and I do have internet connection. But when I connect that ethernet to the TC and run Airport Utility to set it up I get the error about no valid IP address.
This tells us that the modem has associated with your computer. The modem "remembers" the settings for your computer and "looks" for it when you connect the TC. It does not "see" the computer, so it does not associate with the TC.
The modem needs to be reset so that it will not remember the computer. Then it will associate with the next device that connects.
Look for a reset button on the modem, and if present, push it for a second or two. Then power off the modem and leave it off for at least 30 minutes. Power off everything else as well.
After the wait period, power up the modem and let it run for 4-5 minutes by itself. Then power up the TC and let it run a few minutes. Power up each other device one at a time about a minute apart.
Check to see if the modem is now associating with the TC so that the TC will get a valid IP address.

Occasionally the server runs slow.  If you're still having problems getting your printers email address try the following:
    1) Turn OFF the wireless radio
    2) Perform Restore Network defaults from the printer menu
    3) Turn OFF the printer and unplug the power cable from the back. Wait for 5 min
    4) Reconnect the power cable and turn ON the printer
    5) Run the wireless setup wizard from the printer menu.
    6) check if you are able to print and scan
    7) "Remove Web Services" from the printer menu and wait for 2 minutes
    8) "Enable Web Services" from the menu and wait.

  • How do you find what your IP address is?

Whenever a microwave turns on in our house I lose connection and I was wondering how to find the IP address of my wireless-G router to see if typing it in manually will help.

You use the command prompt to find the IP address of the router. You use the browser to open URLs. The default URL of the router is http://192.168.1.1/. Replace the 192.168.1.1 with the ip address which you have found with ipconfig if it is different. If it is different please also post which IP address you have found with ipconfig.
If you want to open the browser at the URL above from the command prompt enter:
    start http://192.168.1.1/

There are a few ways to to this...
You can got to the network settings for each device to get the IP address. For example, my iMac IP address:

If you don't know how to access your router preferences, you can Google the make and model to find out how to access the preferences setting.

  • How can I find the original newsfeed addresses in apple RSS mail

I subscribe to a lot of newsfeeds through my apple mail RSS feed.  Now I want to find the original addresses to load onto a new device, but the apple mail only shows the title I gave the feed.  Where is the actual feed hidden (for example feedburner address)?

    Depends on whatr you mean
Deleting from your phone does not delete from anywhere else
HOWEVER deleting from your Photo stream does delete from the Photostream so anyone looking at the PS from any device will no longer see the photo
But if your Mac iPhoto is set to automatically impor tphotos form PS or is you have manually imported photos from PS then onc ethey are imported they are on your Mac and change to PS will not affect them
for more on PS see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

  • How do I find my NAS ip address on my router? (WRT610N)

I'm trying to set up port forwarding for my NAS to be able to access over the web but I can't seem to figure out it's ip address....
My network magic app just shows it as offline all the time even though it works fine from being mapped within the local network, so therefore I don't know of anyway else to get its address in order to punch it into the ftp port forwarding????

    Thanks for the reply...
That's where my issue is...  I bring up my client list and there's only 3 ip addresses listed, my desktop, my laptop, and my wireless mobile phone however there's no evidence of any attached storage even though it's hooked up.
In my Network Magic app under the map status it indicates my desktop, laptop, mobile phone, slingplayer, printer, and PS3 all showing their ip addresses but the NAS is dormant and after clicking on it, it shows it as offline so I can't find anyway to know it's ip address....???
    Anyhow thanks for the help

  • How do I find my own IP address?

Does anyone know how to write code in a Java program to get the IP address assigned by my ISP when I establish a dial-up Internet connection?
    Thanks,
    John C.

    from the API reference:
    Socket.getLocalAddress
public InetAddress getLocalAddress()Gets the local address to which the socket is bound.
    Returns:
the local address to which the socket is bound or InetAddress.anyLocalAddress() if the socket is not bound yet.
