Specifically what subdirectory are you looking for. I'd suggest your issue may be with using Open Office, have you attempted any help forums from that app?

i have an application which successfully runs on Motorola L6 and it gives me the cell-id, Location area code, and Mobile Network Code, and Mobile Country Code. Now I want to know how can I get the location ( I mean the name of the location) through location area code. And one more thing can we get current MNC and current MCC through j2me because I have written a code for getting this information for sony ericsson cells but dont have a handset to try out. Anyway if anyone has the information then please let me know

Certain indexes in the Calendar API start at 0 rather then 1, so, when you get the value, you may want to increment.
I'm not sure why the time is incorrect. You may want to call getAvailableIDs() and make sure that the desired TimeZone ID is supported by your version. I doubt that Sun would have incorrect support for the time zone, but it may not be included, or perhaps it is included with a diffrent ID. You can always create your own time zone as well, by passing the String offset to getTimeZone(), the offset being how many hours beyond or before GMT. Hopefully this helps.

I would strongly recommend getting into the habit of handling Dates correctly. A Date is a universal instant in time - the number of milliseconds since midnight GMT on 1 January 1970. That instant corresponds to various dates and times, depending on your time zone and the effect of daylight saving. You make that conversion of a universal instant to a localized date/time using Calendar and DateFormat.

How do u get the location finder to work? It hasnt worked since i bought it which was b4 i had wifi in my house now that i have it i thought it would work but still says your location cannot be determined

The iPod Touch and iPhone uses SkyHook to triangulate your location. Since the Touch only has a Wi-Fi receiver it's not as accurate as the iPhone which uses Wi-Fi, GPS, and cell towers to find its location. You can submit your access point to Skyhook and it should then be discoverable.

Geolocation isn't supported in the Emulator. You'll have to set up a test case that gives the geolocation without relying on the Emulator.

Get current location in QT movie

I wrote a script that gets the current time of a Quicktime movie and displays a dialog that tells you where in the movie you are.
I ran the script on another movie and got a different result as to where the script thought the movie was stopped on. Why would this happen. I went to 1 minute at each movie, 1 movie yielded 36000, the other yielded 60000. Why would they be different. How can I get an absolute time as to where in the Quicktime movie I am at.

figured it out, dont ask me why you divide by 60 but no matter what movie you are playing, this code will give you the location in minutes in the movie.

How do I get the subsidized price for a new phone when I already have a plan?

I have been a Verizon customer since September. I have a dumb phone, and I'm really having trouble keeping up with my life. Now that the Droid 4 is coming out in February I've decided that it's time to upgrade. The Droid is coming out at $199 with a two year contract, I think. My question is, what do I have to do to get the subsidized price for the phone? In my current contract I can't upgrade until 2013. Should I cancel that contract all together and just pay the ETF? Then get a new contract with the new phone? Can I even do that? Also, would there be any way to keep my phone number in this situation?

Actually, if you are not ALREADY on a Family Plan, it WILL end up costing you more than this extra $10/month. For example, if you are on the 450 minute Individual Plan, you are paying $40/month and possibly $20/month for unlimited texting. The smallest Family Plan(700 minutes/month) would put you at $70/month and if you want the same unlimited texting, it would be an additional $30/month. This is $100/month vs $60/month on an Individual Plan which comes out to an additional $40/month x 19 months(24 months - 5 months you have already completed on your original line) = $760 ADDITIONAL you would pay until you could cancel your original line. If you wanted to keep your original #, though, you would instead pay an ADDITIONAL $960($40 x 24 months) until you could cancel your new line. Either way, it would MUCH cheaper to just pay full retail for the new phone.
Remember, this is ONLY if you are currently on an Individual Plan and change to a Family Plan with 2 phones. If you are currently on a Family Plan with others, and have the ability to add an additional line, your additional payments would not be this high.

Best to discuss that with your internet service provider. They give you your IP Address, which (unless you are using WiFi) determines the location which is "reported" to websites. The website "reads" the IP Address of your connection to the website's server.
