How do I import Adobe Photoshop Album Library in to Aperture?

I was wondering if any members out there have had experience trying to migrate an Adobe Photoshop Album library in to Aperture. Getting the images in won't be a problem it is keeping the tagging data I am concerned about.
Ideally I would like to keep the 1000's of tags I have set up over the past few years for re-use in Aperture. There is no way I could retrospectively retag all the images again.
I was thinking that it may be possible to somehow attach the tags to a metadata field in each image prior to export and that Aperture could then use these to build its own keyword tagging system. I don't know how I would do this!!
Any ideas?
Thanks, Andrew

Upgrade to Photoshop Elements and in the File menu you can apply the tags to the images using ITPC. You can then import the images into Aperture with the tags in place.

How do I maintain the adobe photoshop albums when importing them into the ipad photo library?

Do these albums on the iPad have the cloud icon next to them? If they do, they are albums that you have previously purchased from iTunes. You can remove them from the Music app by going to Settings>iTunes &App Store>Show All>Music>Off.

  • Importing Adobe Photoshop Album SE Albums into iPhoto

Is this possible? I've got a ton of images that I organized in Adobe PASE using the albums feature, not tags. I see that iPhoto has a very similar system, but so far as I can see, there's no easy way to bring that organization over save manually. Please don't tell me I've got to do this all over! I've got everything from reference photos to my artwork to desktop images and collections of work by my favorite artists (a total of over 9000 images) organized just the way I like it in PASE, and it took me weeks to do back when I first installed he program. I just got my new MacPro a couple weeks ago, and this is one of the major things I haven't been able to get settled. I brought all the pictures themselves over to the Pictures folder, but I'm at a loss to get those SASE albums in, save by hand. Any ideas?

    Taellosse:
Can you assign keywords to those photos in PASE and write them to the file themselves? If so you can keyword each album before bringing over to the Mac. Then, once in iPhoto, you can create Smart Albums based on a keyword or search for a keyword and create a regular album for them.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How to View PDF slideshow created with Adobe Photoshop Album?

Many years ago during the Windows ME era, I created several short PDF slideshows with software (Adobe Photoshop Album) that included audio.  I saved them to a flashdrive.  I believe I used Adobe Reader 7 to play them years ago.  I am now running Windows 7 and attempted to open/play the videos and all I could see is the individual slides with no audio.  Is there a way to view these slideshows with audio today?  Some of them have special meaning and I would appreciate any assistance on how to view them once again.

If you still have your 3.2 psa catalog in your "My Catalogs" folder, try
    downloading PSE5  from here:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/photoshop_elements_5.0_trial_version.exe.
PSE5 should be able to find your catalog and you can convert it into PSE5.
If that doesn't work, it may be because you weren't able to run  "reconnect
all missing files" in PSA3.2 before attempting the conversion.   If all your
photos were still connected, this should work.  Then you can open PSE8 and
convert PSE5 into PSE8.  Do a "reconnect all missing files" in PSE5 before
you do the conversion.  Even though all my files were connected when I
converted PSA2 into PSE5, PSE5 had about 30 unconnected photos.
    Good luck!

  • How can I import photos from iPhoto-library to edit in Photoshop CC? - and save it back to the iPhoto-library?

How can I import photos from iPhoto-library to edit in Photoshop CC? - and save it back to the iPhoto-library?

How to access iPhoto images for use in Photoshop
    1. In the Finder, navigate to Users > [user name} > Pictures > iPhoto Library.
    2. Control-click the iPhoto Library file and choose Show Package Contents.
    3. A Finder window opens that shows the contents. The Masters folder (or called Originals folder) contains all of the photographs that are in iPhoto.
Photoshop cannot access this folder, but if you make a duplicate of the folder, the dupe will be accessible -- so:
    4. Control-click the folder named Masters (or Originals) and choose Duplicate.
5, Drag the duplicate folder which is named "Masters copy" or “Originals copy” from the iPhoto Library Finder window to the Desktop.
    6. Open images in Photoshop from file on desktop.
7  Rename the folder and move it elsewhere (probably to the Pictures folder), if desired.
