How do I link a button to a scene?

built a simple 4 page flash site with basic tweening. need to
link my navigation buttons to the specific scenes. For example. The
Home Page. I want to click on the About Us button and have it
direct the user to the About Us page (which is built as a
individual scene.
Basically need to find out how to make a button link to a
specific scene.
Thank you!!!

I create a layer called labels then label each frame where
the animation for each page will start,(home about etc) then add
event listeners using action script to play from those labels and
also place stop functions so the timeline stops once the content
has loaded.
so lets say the home button has a instance name of home_btn
and you have a label on the timeline for the home page as homepage
home_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,home);
function home(event:MouseEvent)void;
gotoAndPlay("homepage")

  • How to bind Links Detail Button to an object?

    Hi,
    As per the WebCenter Dev Guide, we can create link from "Any object to which you bind the custom JSF components, such as the Links Detail Button".
    How to bind Link Details Button to an object?
    TIA

    Each object has a unique id associated to it. One can retrieve that id string from an object by calling the toString() method, as long as this method hasn't been overridden from its default behavior.and if it has System has a method to help you.
    But it is not quite a unique id. It might be, but a different JVM could implemented it as "return 1" and it would still technically satisfy the contract.
    As much as is reasonably practical, the hashCode method defined by class Object does return distinct integers for distinct objects. (This is typically implemented by converting the internal address of the object into an integer, but this implementation technique is not required by the JavaTM programming language.)

  • Flash menu in DW, how do I link the buttons?

    Hi there!
    I have a problem, i'm creating a site in dreamweaver with a
    lot of flash objects. For examlpe I'm making a flash menu, wich is
    the hole problem! I'm importing the flash file to the left frame in
    dreamweaver and i'm trying to link the buttons (on the menu) to ex.
    "home" or "about me", though it doesn't work! I can't link the
    buttons because they're in this flash object. I know i'm doing it
    wrong with trying to link the buttons on the flash object but I
    don't know what else to do. And the thing is that i don't wanna use
    the buttons already existing in DW, i've made my own ones. The
    buttons are moving so there is one more problem, they're coming in
    from the right side (in the left frame) and bounces once, and then
    they stop. And that's when I wan't them clickable. So how do I make
    the buttons linking to the pages??
    Would really appreciate an awnser!
    Thanks !

    Flash links are made in Flash, not DW.
    I trust these links are not important, as search engines
    can't see them

  • How do you link a button to a image on the same page?

    I created a photoshop button and pulled it into my Muse website, and I want to link it to an image on the same page. I have a slide show set up, and this way I could have a secondary menu with buttons corresponding to each image in the slideshow. I can only find the option to link the button to another page, or link it to an external website. Help!

    Hi avary.s
    "Image Option" : http://prntscr.com/svhz7  Tells that its actually the whole image that is being placed within this slide show container.http://prntscr.com/svhz7 check : http://prntscr.com/svine
    However, "Hero Image" as show in screen shot provided in above reply, is a container which shows the edited part of  the complete image : check :  http://projectuni01.businesscatalyst.com/screenshots/2013-02-16_0217.png
    So in this case, In slideshows, the links are actually get applied on Hero image or on the slideshow containers.
    I hope this information helps

  • How do I link a button to another flash document?

    I am using action script 3 to make my website and all my files and done for now and complete however I have no idea how to make the buttons I created in flash link to another flash document.

    Is each page a different html file?  If so, then you would use code like...
    function linkFunction(evt:MouseEvent):void {
        var url:String = "awebpage.html";
        var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
        navigateToURL(req, "_self");
    btnName.addEventListener(Event.MouseEvent, linkFunction);
    where btnName is replaced by whatever instance name you assign to the button.  A condensed version of the function is...
    function linkFunction(evt:MouseEvent):void {
        navigateToURL(new URLRequest("awebpage.html"), "_self");
    If it is not linking to different html web pages, then you need to provide a clearer description of what your mean.

  • How can I link two frames via a button on one of the frame?help Plz

    Ok,here is the problem. I got two fully working java frames,each has different funcion. On one of the frames(my home Frame" Frame 1" ) i got a button called "Add User", when i press it i should then get my other frame(Frame2) to popup/run. in Frame1 i got this code as action for the add user button.Note: each Frame have thier own Main class.
    public void actionPerformed (ActionEvent e)
    if (e.getSource()==jbtnAddUser)
    // new Frame2(this,"hshsh",jb);
    ////////////// The commented line is where i am not sure what to put in there, Frame1 is the name of my Frame 2 class......
    Please could anyone tell me how do i link Frame 2 to Frame 1....i appreciate it....Max

    You can create both together on pgm startup (instaniation of the class).
    Next for frame1 - I'll call it - you can setBounds(int, int, int, int) and setVisible(true); When you press the button on frame1 to get frame2, you can then do frame1.hide(), followed by frame2 setBounds and setVisible. Finally, when you are done with frame2 you can do frame2.dispose() and frame1.show(). try that.

  • How to perform expand and collapse operation on click of link or button

    Hi
    Is there anyway by which i can perform expand and collapse operation over a table on click of a command link or button without using show details component.
    Is there any other alternative to show detail.
    I do not want to use show detail because of the following reason.
    I have got a page where in i pass some parameters to the URL based on which details get displayed on the page.
    Now when i pass a parameter, change the parameter, once again send the previously used parameter(i,e the parameter that i passed initially), values in the table under show detail do not show any change in values.
    Once i pass values which i have already passed, values in the table under show detail component do not refreshed.
    If anyone has encountered with similar situation, then please post me reply's as to how you could over come the problem??

    Hi
    Perhaps you could use an on-demand application process instead - you can specify these in the URL.
    The URL syntax (for your link) would be like...
    f?p=application_id:page_id:session:APPLICATION_PROCESS=process_idIs this what you mean?
    Cheers

  • How to add linked button in grid?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to add linked button in a grid? I can't find it but i saw someone ask similar question but seems none of them works.
    Thanks a lot!
    P.S. For some reason, i can't use matrix because the data is from a SQL query.
    Lan

    Hi,
    as far as I know it is not possible, since this adjustment is made for the whole column. I have created a grid and I open the shown document by double clicking the row header. In the grid I can see if it is sales or purchase and so I use a workaround by opening the specific system form (e.g. sales invoice) in find mode and search the document by document number (also shown in the grid).
    Sample:
    oSBOapp.ActivateMenuItem("2053"); //sales invoice
    oForm = oSBOapp.Forms.ActiveForm;
    oForm.Mode = SAPbouiCOM.BoFormMode.fm_FIND_MODE;
    oEdit = (SAPbouiCOM.EditText)oForm.Items.Item("8").Specific;
    oEdit.Value = Convert.ToString(dNum);
    oForm.Items.Item("1").Click(SAPbouiCOM.BoCellClickType.ct_Regular);
    By the click event, you get the specific row number. Hope it helps...
    Regards

  • I accidentally eliminated my "Linked Selection" button over the timeline. How do I get it back?

    I accidentally eliminated my "Linked Selection" button over the timeline. How do I get it back?

    I'm finding it difficult to understand what you eliminated.  Are you saying you no longer see your clips at the upper left of the screen ... the ones you placed in the timeline?  Or are you saying you see the clips from the events but not the event names on the left most border of the upper left of the screen?  There is a little arrow that points to the left with a bar to the left of it midway down the left border of the screen.  Clicking on this little arrow hides or reveals the event names you have. (see below). Can you give us a little more info?  Best wishes.

  • How to add custom link or button to task details page to open a different t

    Dear All
    In HumanTasks Workflow, On task details page, I want to add a custom link or button. Clicking on this link or button, should load a different task details page.
    The exact business usecase is like this:
    1. We have some human tasks with very detailed payload like about 100 attributes. When the task is submitted for Approval, we send notification emails. These emails shows the Task Details with all these 100 attributes along with standard Approve, Reject buttons etc. NOW in addition to this, we want to add extra custom button/link like Custom View. When we click on this buton or link, it should replace the task details page with the Custom task details page contents. The reason is most of the managers/approvers access their emails on smart phones like iphones. So in these phones, seeing full task details (100 attributes) is very tedious. So we want to provide a simplified view of same task with very minimum attributes like about 10 with Approve, Reject buttons. Now this compact view details will have a button called Detailed View on click on which it loads details page.
    So we want to have 2 pages for a task:
    taskDetails1.jspx -> Has all 100 attributes with a custom button/link called "Compact View". Click on Compact View switch to below page.
    taskCompact1.jspx -> Has only 10 attributes with a custom button/link called "Detailed View". Click on Detailed View switch to above page.
    1. I tried implementing this using the VacationRequest sample where the payload is like creator, startdate, enddate, reason. I already have taskDetails1.jspx page, which shows this information in the email body.
    2. I want to add another button to taskDetails1.jspx so that when I click on it, I want to load a different page like taskCompact.jspx which has only say creator, reason.
    I already added a link and gave the url with parameters like taskId, taskContext etc which I got from bindings, but nothing is displayed when I click on custom button. The taskId, context values are comming correctly in the url.
    So bottom line, what is the URL that I can provide in the task details page, to load a different task details page contents. I want to pass other taskdetails jsp details.
    Please let me know, if there is any other approach to implement this usecase.
    Thanks in advance
    Ravi Jegga

    Hi,
       I am not sure if you can add your own custom buttons to the application tool bar because your table control is in a sub screen area in a standard screen so the menu area would be controlled by the standard screen and not the subscreen , but along side the table control you can give buttons for scrolling and handle the same in the subscreen if you check the FM EXIT_SAPLMEREQ_002 it has a variable IM_UCOMM which would have the ucomm set in the subscreen so here you can handle your user command to scroll on the table control.

  • I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.

    Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
    I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
    I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
    Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
    (formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
    (after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
    I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

    I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
    You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder.  Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
         <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
    The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
    I'm  assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code.  Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names.  It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.
