I want to create a setup program for installing my jar executable. I've seen ones that create cab files with a setup.exe program and would like to do the same. Any suggestions?

Well, JARs generally don't have support files. That's the whole idea. A JAR is designed to be a stand alone application. You don't really need to install it, for that matter. I just thought you might be wanted shortcuts or something.
Actually, there is some way to install Java programs through Java Web Start, if you want to check that out. I don't know anything about it, though.

Accessing the file system directly from a web app is a bad idea for several reasons. See http://weblogs.java.net/blog/simongbrown/archive/2003/10/file_access_in.html for a great discussion of the topic.
On Weblogic there seems to be two ways to access files. First, use a File T3 connector from the console. Second, use java.net.URL with the file: protocol. The T3File object has been deprecated and suggests:
Deprecated in WebLogic Server 6.1. Use java.net.URL.openConnection() instead.

Perfmon splits results up into mutiple cab files

Running 2008R2 domain with 2008R2 servers. Sometimes I run perfmon and choose to get either a blg or csv file and everything works as intended. Sometimes I come back and my results are broken up into multiple cab files. I usually want to
put the results through the PAL tools to analyze the differences over a few days, so I typically only gather results every 15 minutes. I understand that perfmon log files can really grow and cause problems and that there are options for the
number of samples and log file size to control that growth. I also understand that I can use relog to combine blg files together, but does anyone know what default threshold it has to hit before it starts splitting those files up and having multiple
cab files? If I manually set a higher maximum log file size, can I keep it from splitting those results up and putting them in cab files?

Whether cab file will be created depends on the configuration of the Data Manager.
Folder actions allow you to choose how data is archived before it is permanently deleted. You may decide to disable the
Data Manager limits in favor of managing all data according to these folder action rules.
To configure data management for a Data Collector Set
In Windows Performance Monitor, expand Data Collector Sets and click
User Defined .
In the console pane, right-click the name of the Data Collector Set that you want to configure and click
Data Manager .
On the Data Manager tab, you can accept the default values or make changes according to your data retention policy. See the table below for details on each option.
        When Minimum free disk or
Maximum folders is selected, previous data will be deleted according to the
Resource policy you choose (Delete largest or Delete oldest) when the limit is reached.
        When Apply policy before the data collector set starts is selected, previous data will be deleted according to your selections before the data collector set creates its next log
file.
        When Maximum root path size is selected, previous data will be deleted according to your selections when the root log folder size limit is reached.
Click the Actions tab. You can accept the default values or make changes.

How to change the default save encoding of the dvm files when create dvm???

When I creating a DVM(domain-value mapping) in Chinese on the ESB control and confirm it, then restarted the SOA service, the DVM that I created in Chinese disappeared from ESB control. All the maps(both English and Chinese ) are in DVM Repository.
After I updated the encoding from ‘UTF-8’ to ‘GB2312’ in the three files below, and restarted the SOA service, the DVM in Chinese appeared on ESB control.
But when I adding the second row in Chinese and save it, then restart the SOA service, the DVM in Chinese disappeared from ESB Control once again. Because the encoding in the three files below is updated from ‘GB2312’ to ‘UTF-8’ .

I have the same problem. When I updated to Mavericks now the bookmarks bar font is huge. I liked it the way it was before. I liked the smaller font. Also wish I could change the color of the sidebar and font/folders too.
I tried to see in preferences if there was anyway to change it, but I don't see anything there.

I would like to know how to import custom java jar/class files into oracle to be used in java stored procedure.
I am developing a oracle pl/sql procedure to call java program. The java program will be created as procedure and will be published.
But, my question is that I do have a other external jar/class file that need to be imported into this java program.

Problem is that, I have 6 jar files that are needed to be included in the main java program. And, there are more than 50+ classes, propertiers in those 6 jar files.
It might be not good idea to have all those 50+ classes in the production database.
Is there anyway that I keep all those 6 jar files in unix box (our's is oracle erp installation with oracle being installed on unix box) and just refer them in the main java program. I mean database will be loaded with main java program and it should able to refer other 6 jar files from unix.
if we create a directory and keep all jar files in there and include that directory in classpath variable, does this works? or what is other method?

You can put a QuickTime clip on a Keynote slide just by dragging the movie file onto the slide. If the clip is in your Movies folder in your home directory, you can also use the Media browser to insert it. Finally, you can use the Insert menu, and use the Choose... item to pick the file.
To grab one of the "Get a Mac" ads, go to the ad page. Hover your cursor over the thumbnail of the ad, hold down the Control key, and click and hold the mouse button to pop up the contextual menu. Choose "Download Linked File", and the file should be saved to your hard drive.

Hello Alain, you should try the OMBLOG variable. If you set it inside OMBPlus:
set OMBLOG c:/temp/mylog.txtthen all the OWB specific commands are logged with their output. By OWB specific I mean all those that start with OMB.
This is more than what you see in the interface, because:
- messages inside procedures are logged; you wouldn't see them on std.output when you call a proc
- variables are resolved, so if you issue the command
set my_var VERY_IMPORTANT_TABLE
OMBDROP TABLE '$v_myvar'the log will show:
OMBDROP TABLE 'VERY_IMPORTANT_TABLE'
Table dropped
and you know something is wrong... so OMBLOG is very useful to intercept all manipulations on you repository.
If what you want instead is a dump of the screen output when you execute a script, I suggest you redirect standard output from the operating system command line. Unfortunately OMBPlus doesn't support all advanced redirection and tracing features of the TCL language.

First, I put all my records into a string variable and then append the string into a stringbuffer. After that, I create a bufferoutputstream and used the write method to write into a text file. Below are the code I used in my program.

The total records are around 150 000. Now, I get an exception which is "XServletError : System.lang.outofmemory". It happen if the total records are more than 60 000, within a while loop when I try to append a string into a stringbuffer.
How should I deal with this kind of situation?
