How do I register a new email address to my mail account?

Am in the process of getting new email addresses for a new company and want to receive these emails through mac mail not my yahoo account.  How do I register them to "mail" on my mac book?

Mail > Preferences > Accounts - click on the [+] button at the bottom of the Accounts column then follow directions.  Click on the (?) icon if you have questions.

  • Problems adding a new email address to .mac mail account

I'm trying to set up a second email address on my new .mac mail account and I'm stuck. What would be the account description/type/ingoing server/outgoing server for a new account. I've read the directions on mail help to no avail. Also, suddenly my "saved email" option on the left vertical bar is gone. I assume it's because the box got too full (i really liked it . Does anyone know how to access/empty/make it reappear as a mail function ?
    Thanks for your time.

Yes, I am a new .mac subscriber. I have a main mac address: [email protected] and then have my old aol address ( [email protected]) mail 'shunted ?' into my new mac address.
My partner now needs an email address for his own online banking account. I'm looking for the easiest way to do this under my mac account.
Saved email folder was an option on the vertical pane under "Inbox" "Sent Mail" "Junk Mail." I used it to store important incoming emails.
Thanks so much for your time,

how do i create a new email address in Mail?

Have you already established a new email account with an email provider such as Apple, Yahoo, Google, etc.? From the email provider you will need to know the email address ([email protected]), and the password for the account. If this is a common used provider such as iCLoud, MS Exchange, Google, Yahoo, or AOL that is all you will need to know Mail will fill in the rest of the information automatically. For other accounts you will need to know the acount type (POP3 or IMAP), the URL for the POP or IMAP server, the security type for the server, the URL for the outgoing email server (SMTP) and the security type for it. Don't panic over all this, most email providers have instructions on their site for setting up Apple Mail -- you just have to find it.
Once you have the information together, open Mail then on the menu bar at the top of the screen select Mail > Preferences > Accounts. Click on the plus sign at the bottom of the list of accounts and start by entering your new email address and password. Mail will then attempt to fill in the rest of the information it needs. If it is unable to do so, you will have to fill in the information yourself hopefully following the instructions provided by the email provider.

  • HT4436 how do i setup a new email address/account for another family member in icloud

how do i setup a new email address/account for another family member in icloud?

They will need to get their own Apple ID - go to http://appleid.apple.com to set up a new one. You will need a different non-Apple email address from any already in use.
Then they will need a separate user account on the Mac, or their own computer. You can then set up the account and add an @icloud.com email address in System Preferences>iCloud.
Although you could set up an alias address on your own account, I should advise against this - once created you cannot detach an alias from the account so they wouldn't be able to move it to their own account at a later date and their email would be inextricably linked with yours.

This is the issue. They are telling you to get a specific email address.
If this address is already taken, then what?

  • HT201287 How do i add an new email address to my inventory of send

I am trying to add my googel email address to the send & receive listing in message area of settings.  After entering my google email and my password, I see the word "verifying".
What do I need to do to get settings to accept the new email address?

    Howdy Coralnut,
It sounds as if you are having an issue with setting up your Gmail account on your iPhone for the purposes of using Messages, is that right? I would suggest that you use the steps in this article to troubleshoot -
Gmail account cannot get or send email in iOS - Apple Support
    Specifically -
Make sure your device is connected to the Internet by opening Safari and visiting www.apple.com.
If you have other email accounts on your device, try to send and receive email from those accounts. If your Gmail account is the only one with the issue, fill out an unlock form, which proves your identity.
Remove your Gmail account from your device and add it again: Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars > Add Account > Google. Enter your account information.
    Get more help
If you have 2-Step verification enabled on your Google account, you'll need to generate an App Password to use with your iOS Device.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • HT1920 I don't have the same email account as the one I originally started with, so when I try to log into the Apple store or iTunes it wants to send my password to my email.  How can I get my new email address and password?

I would like to change my email address on my itunes account so I can get email updates.  How can I change it on my phone to correspond with my computer? And when I tried to get iheart radio on my iphone it gave me the "terms and conditions" pages but no button to "agree".  I need help.

You can try getting the password reset via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the password and your questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address to your account for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

  • How do I set up two email address on the same account?

Using Mail in Mac OS X 10.6.2 and moving to Mac for the first time, I have been unable to set up two email addresses on the same account. Entering them, separated by commas, as advised in the Help does not seem to work. I have tried making them both the same password and have tried separating the passwords with a comma but no luck. Unable to set up another account for the second address because it correctly tells me that the account already exists.
    Is there a way?
    Thanks for any help.

After a comprehensive trial and error session, using a new Guest Account each time to be sure of no contamination from the previous trial, I have finally cracked it!
The problem was logging on to the outgoing server.
Setting up the first account was fairly straightforward but if I allow Mail to do it automatically I am unable to send because Mail has defaulted to 'Authentication Required' when my server does not require it. Setting the account manually without authentication enables send and receive to work OK.
If i try to set up the second account automatically, Mail crashes.
If I set it up manually and choose 'No Authentication', Mail crashes.
If I set it up manually and choose 'Authentication Required' and enter the full email address as the User Name together with password, Mail crashes.
If I set it up manually and choose 'Authentication Required' and enter the first part of the email address together with password, Mail crashes.
However, if I set it up manually and choose 'Authentication Required' and enter the first part of the email address as User Name and no password, Mail accepts it and sets up the account.
At this point the account receives mail but cannot send it.
If I go into the Mail preferences and try to edit the outgoing server details, Mail will not accept no Authentication.
I eventually found that if I uncheck the 'Always Use This Server' box, all account then use the server on the first account, which is correctly set up.
Now I have my four email accounts all able send and receive.
One little concern remains. In Outlook Express I could look at the properties of a received email and see what address it had come from, together with many other details. I haven't found out yet whether this can be done in Mail. I just wonder whether if I reply to some email, it will appear to have come from a different address from the one it was sent to.
Thanks again for all the inputs.

  • How do I get an iCloud email address for an iCloud account that is already set up?

When I set up my wife's iCloud account, I used her regular email address.  Now, when I try to iMessage her from my iPhone (4s), I am successful when I am on a wifi but not via my cellular connection.  I can iMessage other users.  I believe this is due to her not having an iCloud email address on her iCloud account.  I suspect that when my message is sent via cellular, it tries to go to her actual email address which fails.  She is able to iMessage me regardless of my connection from her iPad (4th).
Does anyone know how to add an iCloud address to an existing iCloud account?
    Thanks,
    Dave

Thanks Jim.  I'm pretty sure it is set up correctly.  The only issue the ipad has is it dies not receive messages from my iphone when the iphone is not on wifi.  She can send/receive imessages to/from others and from my iphone when it is on wifi.

  • How can i create a new email address and change it to my Apple ID?

I set-up a me.com address but mispelled my name.  How can I crate another email address and update my icloud

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Just log out of the current account and create a new account and merge your data when prompted. You might be better exporting your data from calendars and contacts to your desktop before you start so you have a back up.

  • How do I create a new email address using Mozilla Firefox 5?

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 5 as my Browser as I like it and Internet Explorer 9 doesn't work well with many sites I use. I would like to set up an email on your site, if possible, instead of my home email. I want to delete my old, other emails from Yahoo and deactivate that account. Can u help me? Do u have an email setup? I saw Thunderbird, but don't know if it's updated and it always has a popup that it's encrypted and not safe to use. Thank you. Geri aka FireFoxLady

Thunderbird is a email client and the Thunderbird is still being maintained as Thunderbird 5.0 was released recently. In order use Thunderbird you need to have a email account somewhere. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/
Firefox as you know is a web browser as the closest it deals with emails is when you view a webmail service at say Gmail or Yahoo or such.
Mozilla themselves do not have a email service, at least not for the public as select Mozilla employees do have a @mozilla.com email address.
