How do I removed the downloaded music from my ipad in the Music app with effecting icloud music?
My music was taking up too much space so I joined itunes match, but the 6 gigs of my music is still on my ipad. How do I removed the downloaded music from my ipad in the Music app without affecting icloud music? I clicked to replace all music with icloud music. They both appear in Music and I don't see anywhere to remove all downloaded music. If I delete all music, I fear it will delete all music in iCloud. I assumed by joining iTunes Match that I would get the 6 gigs back for other items since my music should be on iCloud now. If that is not the case then I need to get my $ back for Match.
Removing music from an iOS device does not remove it from the cloud.
Go to Settings > General > Usage and tap Music (you may need to scroll down in the list). Swipe across "all music" and tap DELETE.

As mentioned in your previous post, if you purchased them from the iTunes store, they are already in iCloud (you don't have to do anything to put them there). They can be redownloaded at any time as long as they are still available in the iTunes store, and the studio permits it (not all do). The safest thing to do is transfer them to your iTunes library by connecting your iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. That way you know you have them.
To delete them, open the Videos app, tap Edit and tap the "x". They should then show the iCloud download symbol (assuming you have Videos turned on in Settings>iTunes & App Store under Show All). -

If you want to copy music off then File > Transfer Purchases will only copy iTunes purchased music off the iPad. To copy music bought from other sources and/or copied from CDs then you will need to use a third-party program to copy them off - see the page that I linked to for some examples.

The variable that has changed with iOS 7 is the "Show All Music" option in Settings > iTunes & App Store. This feature displays your iTunes in the Cloud purchases on your device (while they are not locally stored). You can identify these by the "cloud download" icon on the right.
To hide your iTunes in the Cloud purchases, disable this feature in Settings > iTunes & App Store.

Yes, just got an i-pad 2. Love it! Question, when I go to send an email, under the subject line it already has the phrase "Sent from my ipad". How do I permanently remove this phrase. (Yes I can do it manually each time but I prefer not to). Thanks

How do I remove all duplicate images from my IPad 4? They are clogging up hard drive
I have a lot of images on this iPad from a major journey that i am on. Most are.in albums.. I want to further organise them but many have randomly duplicated. Some several times over. These images have filled up the hard drive as a result. So I cannot continue to organise the images. I have tried to use photomanager pro in order to set up sub folders, but cannot import the media as dive is full. Please can someone advise how to 1. Remove all duplicates and 2. Avoid repetition of this situation.

How can I remove a downloaded file from the desktop?

I downloaded an install Internet Call Director exe file from my internet privider then was told that their system couldn't run on Mac OS 10. There are two files on my desktop that I can't remove. When I drag either one to the trash i get this message. "the item installICD.EXE is being used by another task right now.(Other tasks include moving, copying, or emptying the trash.)" There is nothing else running. I have tried renaming the file,Clearing the download manager, and anything else I could think of. The files will not open and will not delete even using CMD delete. I am not a computer person! How can I get rid of the files??
iMac G4 Mac OS X (10.2.x)If you haven't already done so, change the filenames so that they have an extension of .rtf, and then open TextEdit. Overwrite both files with blank TextEdit documents and then throw away the TextEdit documents.
If the TextEdit method doesn't work, open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and enter the following:
tell application "Finder"
set file type of (selection as alias) to "1234"
end tell
Select the file in the Finder and run the script. Repeat this for the second file; when done, try throwing them away again.

Yes, this should be simple, but I'm baffled. Can the icon be permanently removed, or at least when when the Album Starter is not in use... other than clicking on "exit" which only brings it back when the computer is restarted without removing the program?

Easy ! I use Comodo Pro Firewall.
1) Click on DEFENSE box.
2) Click on "View Active Process List"
3) Look down the list of processes. Find APDPROXY.EXE.
4) Click it, then click "Terminate and Quarantine"
5) ALL DONE ! No more icon in tray and the program is killed.
APDPROXY - This is lurking about, you can find it on SEARCH from the START button. BUT, you cannot delete it or move it and MSCONFIG does not work. You can disable it as many times as you like - it will keep coming back.
SOLUTION ! Download CCleaner, it is a great little program and free.
Using this you can click on TOOLS, then STARTUP. A list of programs are shown which are enabled at STARTUP. Disabling does not work, just click on APDPROXY and click DELETE. It`s GONE !
All over in a flash - no more ADOBE PHOTO DOWNLOADER.
