How do I resize and position a logo to an object in Photoshop using Warp & Vanishing Point?

How do I resize, rotate and reposition a logo within a Photoshop object using Warp and/or Vanishing Point? This may be a Photoshop question.

You will have to explain better and usee the right terminology. What does "Photoshop object" mean? A placed graphic? Some copy&pasted path work? and there is no Vanishing Point in Illustrator to begin with, so it's even less clear what exactly you are trying to achieve.

How can my wife and I be friends in game center if we use the same Itunes account?

You can set up multiple accounts in Game Centre, sign out and create new account. You just need a different email address from any existing Apple ID's and a new password. You can still use the old account for purchases.

  • Png blurry/pixelated after i used the vanishing point filter and save as a VSP file?

    Hi,
Why are my png blurry/pixelated  after i used the vanishing point filter and save as a VSP file? And i'm using a high res picture. I'm using PS CC.
    I got some screenshots.
This the result of the png
    Thanx in advance

As I posted before, I would use it more if it had some of the functionality I need. I need to be able to change the opacity of the image I'm pasting so I can see EXACTLY where my overlaid image will register with the bottom image. VP seems to require a ton of processing and I wonder if maybe the software is handing off some of this work to the graphics card for calculating. Maybe this would explain that apparently not many people have run into an error that gets embedded in the file. Although my G5 is Apple stock, not super-modified.

  • Components that auto-resize and position

    Hi there
I have written a small swing application and in this application i have a tabsheet with two tabs and on each tab there is a toolbar. on the toolbar on the one sheet i have a check box and when it is checked, i set two components visible to false and another one to true and visa versa. sometimes when one of the components is set visible to true, then it resizes itself to the screen and positions itself in the top-left corner. it does not do this all the time, i could recompile and it goes away, but then it does this action on another machine. any ideas why? and how i can solve this problem?
    ~Glen

I am not using a layout manager at all, but placing the components according to the location and size that I want. I found that by using a layout manager would make my toolbar look rather messy, espeiclally when I need to toggle certain components on and off and wanting to preserve the exact location of the components that are toggled as visible.

  • Resizing and positioning a stage with a background image

    Hey guys,
I'm trying to get some specific behaviour on a stage as I think it'll work out best for the application I am doing. The module I am working on right now consists of a stage with an imageview bound to the width and height and an image inside. I'm eventually looking to setup some animations and such which will overlay on the image but I want the window to be resizable in various ways.
Right now, when the stage is created I manually set the width and height so the image fits perfectly in the stage. For resizing, I want the user to be able to drag either the height or width or diagonal sliders but have the original aspect ratio of the stage retained. I have the preserveRatio variable set to true in the ImageView which makes the image not become distorted, but the stage can be extended horizontally/vertically/diagonally to any ratio which I'd rather not have. In terms of fullscreening, I'd like to allow it and have the image centred.
I've tried to see if the LayoutInfo class can help me out, but it doesn't seem to have any implementations which are too useful for what I am trying to do. So does anyone know how I can accomplish the above? I'm very new to JavaFX so if anyone can make any other suggestions in terms of the objects I am using and what's best practices for what I am trying to do, it would be much appreciated. I've looked into using PathAnimation and PathTransition for the animations I am using and while they'd do most of the job well, I need to be able to place objects, modify speeds, locations etc. so I'll probably just end up making some custom drawing methods.
    Thanks in advance,

        def ratio = image.width / image.height;

            stage.height = scene.width / ratio + insetY;

[EDIT] Changed to avoid resizing the dimension that the user is changing. Result is more logical but slightly worse... (?)

  • How to change size and position of default TOC

Is it possible to change the width, height and position of the default TOC menu in Captivate 6?
Currently the default TOC menu goes from the top of the window to the bottom.  In order to fit better with the graphic UI we are using for the course it would be better if the TOC could be positioned about 40px from the top of the window and end about 50px short of the bottom. I can find no way to change the size and position of the TOC from within Captivate.
I have tried changing the CSS stylesheet for the HTML version and that will work but it does not work for the SWF version.
    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hi Rod,
I am hoping that you are still following this thread.  I have a client who really wants to be able to changes the size and position of the default TOC and you mentioned that it would require extensive AS3 coding. I am hoping that you can give me some idea of where the AS3 files are located that I would need to take a look at.  I am working on a Mac using OSX 10.7
    Thanks,

  • How to permanently resize the signature chosen from image in Sign - Place signature - Use an image

When I choose an image with my signature from the file - it is automatically resized and is smaller than the original.
I can resize it then manually after choosing "Place signature" and clicking in the selected place.
The problem is - that in the next document I sign I have to resize it manually again - and it is diffucult, because there is no resize measure like percentage box nor size box nor resize ruler nor size in properties. I must have exactly the same size of signature in every document and it must be bigger that the automatically resized one.  But the resized size is not saved. 1
Does it exist any way to save the resized size of the signature taken from the image? 1
Does exist any way of controlling the size in numbers when resizing? 2
    Thank you in advances! LB

You cannot embed an image in an fla using actionscript, at least not as far as I can reason.  If you need the image to be available then you should either send it along in the email and giove instructions on where to place it relative to the fla or place it online somewhere and link to it that way.  If necessary you will need to set up security provisions to allow the file to be downloaded from an external url.

  • Load, Resize and Position SWF into a blank MC

    heeelp!!
I've honestly tried to look everywhere and have no clue how to do this. PLus i've tried for hours and still have no success!
As the post thread title states, I have a swf file and i want to import anothe swf file into a blank movie clip. Any ideas how? Can it be % wise? And can the image's width be set to say 100 and the height be automatic?
Also, what about the x and y positioning?
also, I do not need or want a progress bar....
I would really be greatful if anyone can lend me a hand.

Hope you include file path as an argument inside URLRequest constructor.
    Ex:
    loader.load( new URLRequest("bla.swf") );
That may be the reason you are getting an erroe.

  • How to resize and change the resolution of a batch of photos using Automator

I searched for a long time tonight looking for the answer to this (seemingly) simple question:
How do I use Automator to scale and change the resolution of a batch of images?
    It was not so simple.
    Links to this question:

These are just the links on this site - I found them all over the place at MacRumors, Apple Tips, Mac Help, etc.
You can actually manage this in Automator.
Here are the steps that worked for me:
Create an Automator APPLICATION - not a workflow (this is due to the way that I'm batch converting images - workflows might be ok for some cases)
Step 1 is Copy Finder Items
My flow inserts an SD card, opens the DCIM folder that my Nikon creates, selecting the images that I click (command + click to multi-select) and once I have the photos highlighted, I drag them onto this Automator App we're creating.
<==  You'll have this guy soon!
As a result - I want to copy the originals to my computer as step 1.  I don't touch the originals on the SD card (and cards are cheap so I tend to leave them on the cards as well)
Step 2 is the Scale Images action - you can search the library for this and find it quickly.  For my part, I found that scaling images to about 38.8 percent of their size on the SD card is good for uploading to a blog.  Change this value to whatever you wish.
Step 3 is Run Shell Script - and here is where we marry the brilliance found at this link with our script. If you have a hard time reading the text in the image, it is as follows:
    #bin/bash
    for f in "$@"
    do
         /usr/bin/sips -s dpiHeight 72.0 -s dpiWidth 72.0 $f
    done
Save this application (I named mine "Format Photos")
Place the application inside the target folder where you want the images to end up.  I do this because when I have the SD card window open, I can also open my "Photos" window and see my App sitting there.  I select my images as I mentioned and drag them on top of this app.  The app copies the originals and the conversions into the folder.
NOTES: When you open a converted pic in Preview, you will see Resolution = 300 dpi if you go to Tools --> Adjust Size...  This reading is explained by another brilliant discussion as sips only touches the JFIF properties inside the file's MetaData.  However, if you look at the bottom of the Adjust Size... window, you'll see the image size is probably around 500 kb (give or take depending on the original).  My goal was to get the images down from the 3.0 MB I shoot at to around 500 kb.  Therefore even though the MetaData still thinks that it is 300 DPI according to Preview, it has been changed to 72 (open it in some other applications mentioned at the links and you'll find different readings - it all depends on what the application reads from the Meta).
This does not rename the files, so you'll get DSC_1000.jpg and DSC_1000 copy.jpg in all likelihood.  If that annoys you, add a step into the Automator Application that renames the file after the "Run Shell Script" action has run, and you can have each file renamed according to some convention that you like.
This took a heck of a lot longer than I expected - so I decided to put in the effort to share this with the community and save others the hassle.

PPI is pixels per inch of the image.  It is difficult to increase resolution as you are trying to add data that is not there.
But for printing purposes what you want is dpi or dots per inch.
The image processor either accessed from Bridge (tools/photoshp) or PS is a good way to change a batch of images.

  • How to maitain size and position of a panel in lookout?

To my project, i need to show several panels at same time. The user no to be able to rezise or move panel of their position.
    Sombody can help me?
By the way, i'm using lookout 4.5 build 19

Unfortunately, there is not a direct way that you can “lock down” the panels to prevent the user from moving them. However, one thing you might want to consider is to use a button that will automatically position the panels where you want them every time the button is pressed. Another thing you could use is a timer that will automatically position the panels where you want them at a specific time interval. Both of these methods involve using the X and Y data members of a Panel.
However, I would suggest that you submit a product suggestion for the next revision of Lookout to include the feature that you are looking for. Please go to ni.com/contact and then go to the Product Feedback section.

  • How to both resize AND export to PNG at specific resolution?

I am trying to export a PAIR of vector files as PNG-24's, one at 72 ppi and the second at 150 ppi, Illustrator CC.
I also want both exported files to have a different SIZE that their existing (and of course, completely arbitrary) vector dimensions.
If I use Save for Web in Illustrator CC, I can indeed change the size, BUT I can't specify a resolution!
On the other hand if I try to do a File > Export, I can easily specify the resolution as 150 ppi, BUT I can't change the size!
If I go 'way back to my Illustrator CS4 version, there was a toolbar display of the selected object's  (or group's) physical dimensions - see the attached image - but I can't seem to find it in the CC version of Illustrator.
As Retina resolution images have been around for several years, it would be helpful to be able to have complete control over how vector images created in Illustrator could be output at 150 ppi AND with the ability to specify the physical size. And, being able to write an action to export the pair of different resolution images would be even better.
Am I missing the obvious here? For the time being, I am back to my old machine with Illustrator CS4 just to export Retina-friendly images...

This is not the issue - pixels are pixels, you're right. It is a question, rather, of how awkward it is to export the different sized files from Illustrator.
Here's the problem. Supposed I have a vector file that has nominal dimensions of 385px  x 91px on the artboard - can't even SEE that info anymore, as I noted. (I'm sure there's a toggle somewhere for that, but I can't seem to find it...)
I want to export this as a PNG at a smaller size, say at 62% = 239px × 57px. OK, just click and it's done, Save for Web, 62%.
Now, I need to export it at twice that physical size for the Retina version. If I didn't write down my first PNG's EXPORTED dimensions, (and I work on a LOT of these files...), when I go back to Save for Web, I have to manually remember to double the first file's EXPORTED dimensions, i.e., 239px × 57px = 124% to get my larger file of 478px × 114px.
On the other hand, if I go to File > Export, Illustrator lets me create larger files, but won't let me change the dimensions of the original file to begin with. It just makes no sense to me. If I could reset the vector's nominal size FIRST, it would be much simpler. One Save for Web, then one Export at Medium Res.

  • How do I resize and export photos in Aperture without them becoming pixelateded

I'm having trouble resizing my photos and exporting them without the end result being an overly pixelated photo.  This happens when I am resizing my photos to a 5 by 7 size.

    Amanda,
Welcome to the user-supported Aperture discussion group.
In Aperture, you don't resize to a "print" size.  You export to a specific pixel size.
So, what size are you actually exporting it as?
I believe both Terence and I suspect that you have a very low-res picture and you are telling Aperture to make it have more pixels.  If you are intending to print the photos, there is really no difference in sending the original, low-res version to the printer versus having Aperture add pixels to your photo.  Something, somewhere, will have to add pixels.

  • How to tag grouped and position locked images

Hey, found that script does not work when the image is being grouped and locked..
I tried to unlock it's parent first then tag the image.
    but...
There's a problem here, if the image was grouped many times..
how to unlock ALL it's ancestors??
What shld be the correct script here... HELP...someone
I'm beginning to hate CS3 and CS4... so many restrictions here and there.

It would help if you identified the scripting language you're using and if you provided some indication of your current attempt to solve the problem at hand. Are you speaking of xml tagging?
    [eboda_snaf] yes
To unlock all the items in a group, starting with an image in that group, is an interesting little project. I'd tackle it along these lines:
    1. Look up the parental hierarchy until to get to a group whose parent is a page or a spread. [If you're allowing for the possibility that the original image is anchored to some text in a text frame that is part of a group, things get a little more complicated because then you'll need the parentTextFrame of character -- and you have to allow for the possibility that the text is overset.]
[eboda_snaf] will try that, btw you have any samples?
    2. Using the allPageItems property of the group, iterate through each member of the group and make sure its locked property is false.
I don't see how CS3/CS4 is any more restrictive in this regard than was CS2. Do you have a CS2 solution to this issue that doesn't work in CS3? If so, please post it.
    [eboda_snaf]
In CS2, using the direct selection tool, I'm able to select and tag the image even if it's grouped and locked, no script needed at all, no sweat and fast!
In fact we are doing that currently.
In CS3 and CS4, I can't do that. It will give a stupid warning message "Cannot modify elements that contain locked content, or are contained by locked content. Please unlock or check out the content and try again."
So need to unlock the parent first. To make matter worse, grouped objects will need to unlock all the great great great grandparents first!
Such a hassle, just doing a simple xml tagging task.

  • How do I access and transfer files on my iMac to my MacBook using bluetooth?

Hi there, I would like to know how to access files on my iMac and transfer them to my Mac Book Pro using Bluetooth, if this is possible?

I agree with Ogelthorpe. Bluetooth is not an appropriate way to transfer files between two computers.
Additionally to the Firewire method, you can set up File Sharing (System Preferences - Sharing) on the computer you're transferring TO, then you'll see it in the MBP's Finder sidebar if you're on the same wireless or wired network. If you're transferring a lot of files, connect with network cables to your router unless your wireless network is very fast.
