How do I set the text orientation in a Microsoft Word table cell from LabVIEW?

In a table in Word (Office 2010) it's possible to change the text orientation in a cell (if you right click on a cell, it's the 'Text Direction...' option).
Has anyone figured out how to do this from LabVIEW?  I took a quick look at doing it via ActiveX, but haven't find the correct property/method.  Next step is to try .net.

Previous post shows the constant values for Excel (my mistake). The following code will change the text orientation for a whole table in Word.

  • How do you set the text of a Hyperlink component in code

    I am using Visual Web pack in NB 6.0. How do you set the text of a hyperlink component in code?
    Please see screenshots at
    http://coba.usf.edu/departments/isds/faculty/agrawal/projects/java/
    I have a hyperlink in a grid panel. I am using
    hyperlink1.setText("Hello"); in prerender(),
    but the Hyperlink shows up with the text "Hyperlink", whereas I was expecting "Hello". However,
    hyperlink1.setUrl("http://www.usf.edu"); works as expected.
    I tried nesting a static text in the hyperlink as suggested in the Creator guide (ed 2, Google project). I deleted the "Hyperlink" text in the properties editor but then the page turned out blank.

  • How do you set the Text in an Accordion Interaction?

    When trying to set the text in the Accordion Interaction, it behaves very strange. You can't set it. It starts out at 13 and then changes to either 10 or 30.
    Can anyone give some advise on how to set this?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    Logged that bug (as well, have a long list). Workaround depends on your hardware: for some scrolling the mouse wheel will allow to change font size (doesn't work for me). On my Lenovo Thinkpad I have to use the trackpad, that has a scrollbar, to change the font size. Very cumbersome, was promised that it would soon be patched, crossing my fingers.

  • How can I set the data binding between Web Dynpro & Database table

    Dear friend,
    I am a beginner of Web Dynpro. I want to develop my simple project like these:
    1. Create my own database table via Dictionary Project such as TAB_USER and have 3 fields: USER_ID, USER_NAME, USER_POSITION and I have already deployed & archived it.
    2. Create my own Web Dynpro Project, and create the input fields as User ID, User name, User position and icon 'Save' on the selection screen and I have deployed it already.
    For the process, I want to input data at the screen and save the data in the table, please give me the guide line like these:
    1. How can I set the data binding between Web Dynpro and Database table ?
    2.  Are there any nescessary steps that I will concern for this case?
    Sorry if my question is simple, I had try  to find solution myself, but it not found
    Thanks in advances,

    Hi,
    You can write your own connection class for establishing the connection with DB.
    Ex:
    public class  ConnectionClass {
    static Connection con = null;
    public static Connection getConnection() {
    try{
    Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource) ctx.lookup("jdbc/TSPAGE");
    con = ds.getConnection();
    return con;
    }catch(Exception e){
    return null;
    You can place the above class file in src folder and you can use this class in webdynpro.
    You can have another UserInfo class for reading and writing the data into the DB .

  • How can I set the text feild in a form to print out the entire feild?

    Right now it's only printing out what shows in the box, I want the box to expand when printed and show all the text entered in the field, how can I set it to do that?

    I think that the font size has to be set in the form itself, not the FDF.

  • How do I set the Text Fields alignment using LiveCycle 7.1

    I created a Form using LiveCycle Designer 7.1 with a few sample Text Fields. Each text box is about 0.75" in height to accomodate a few lines of text within it - it will be holding a description field so the data could be quite large. When my PDF document gets populated with data from an XML file via a .NET Web Page, the text is shown in the center of the Text Field. However, I need the text to be dispalyed at the Top of the Text Field, not in the center. Does anyone know where the option is to make this happen?

    In the paragraph tab. You may have to open it the first time from the Window menu.

  • How to Copy all the text blocks of a converted Word file (Converted PDF TO WORD)

    We have scanned a English book quite a some time ago. Now we have converted it to a Word Document.
    We try to copy the whole text and re-format it and save it as Word/PDF
    The problem is we cannot copy the whole document since it has the text as various blocks.
    It is very hard to select each box and put in a word document or in a notepad.
    Could you please tell me how to select the whole document or whole blocks with single stretch or any easy way to do it?

    "Scanned" -- That tells the story.
    The output of all scanners is an image, a picture if you will, of the paper source.
    Pictures of text are not the "text" itself and thus there is no "text" to copy (let alone paste).
    For PDF files that hold the picture of text that is the output of a scanner you would want to open the PDF with Acrobat.
    Now use Acrobat's OCR capability.
    Suggestion: Use Acrobat's ClearScan. This is "friendlier" to doing touchups to characters / words.
    Export this to Word (Use Acrobat Pro or one of Adobe's online subscription services - ExportPDF or PDF Pack).
    DO expect to do cleanup in the Word file.
    Whenever the source is a scanner's output picture you have a pig's ear & you cannot make a silk purse from that.
    Be well...

  • How can I set the file name and folder for output to PDF from another application?

    I am developing an application in Microsoft Access where the printed reports are to be saved in PDF format for archive purposes. I can send the output to Adobe X, but the default file name is the Access report name and the folder selected is the one last used.
    What I need to do is to create the file with a specific name (which changes for each run) and to a specific folder (which also changes for each run).
    The language I'm using is Visual Basic for Applications which is located in an Access form that controls the report production.
    Any suggestions, please?

    Got it - many thanks.

  • Newbie iPhone: How do I programatically set the text of a UIBarButtonItem?

    Hello,
    This is probably really more of a question on IBOutlets but here goes. I want to have an updateable label on my Toolbar. A label doesn't seem to "stick" on the toolbar so I figured I would drop a UIBarButtonItem on it and then just update the Title property of it to change the text as I needed. Problem is I can't figure out how to get a reference to the UIBarButtonItem in my code.
    With a pure label control, I can drag from the File's Owner to the label in my view to make it an outlet for my ViewController and then access the text property of the label in code. With the UIBarButtonItem, I can't make it an outlet. I know the button is more of an action thing but I don't need to respond to taps, I just want to change the text.
    Thanks for any help,
    Tom

    Tom,
    You should be able to assign the UIBarButtonItem to an outlet as long as:
    1) you have defined an instance variable in FilesOwner of UIBarButtonItem and prefixed it with "IBOutlet".
    2) FilesOwner is set to your custom view controller in the Interface Builder's Inspector panel. If it still thinks it's a standard UIViewController it won't pick up your custom outlets.
    All that being said, I'm not sure you can change the title without using a custom view. The default UIBarButtonItem has an initWithTitle: initializer that may be static (perhaps others know of a way to change it once set). But you can define a custom view for the button. That gives you the ability to add a UILabel and programmatically set the text of the label.
    Cheers,
    George

  • How do I set the default text in a bound textbox?

    How do I set the default value of a bound textbox when the AddNewItem button on the MenuStrip is clicked?
     I have the following code (see below), but for some reason it does work when I put the code in the

    What am I doing wrong? Why can't I set the default text in the AddNewItem_Click
    event?

    Private Sub Form1_Load(
    ByVal sender As System.Object,
    ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
    Using MockedData As New DataTable()
    MockedData.Columns.AddRange(New DataColumn() _
    New DataColumn("PartName", GetType(String)),
    New DataColumn("partqty", GetType(Int32))
    MockedData.Rows.Add(New Object() {"Part A", 100})
    MockedData.Rows.Add(New Object() {"Part 99", 34})
    MockedData.Rows.Add(New Object() {"Part B", 4})
    bsData.DataSource = MockedData
    End Using
    CType(bsData.DataSource, DataTable).AcceptChanges()
    BindingNavigator1.BindingSource = bsData
    TextBox1.DataBindings.Add("Text", bsData, "Partname")
    TextBox2.DataBindings.Add("Text", bsData, "partqty")
    End Sub
    Private Sub bsData_AddingNew(
    ByVal sender As Object,
    ByVal e As System.ComponentModel.AddingNewEventArgs) _
    Handles bsData.AddingNew
    Dim dv As DataView = TryCast(bsData.List, DataView)
    Dim rv As DataRowView = dv.AddNew()
    rv("PartName") = "(new)"
    rv("partqty") = 0
    e.NewObject = rv
    bsData.MoveLast()
    End Sub
    End Class

  • How to set the text in a jtextfield to align to the left

    A quick simple question. I'm populating a jtextfield with text pulled from a record. However the text is too long to fit in the jtextfield and the alignment is set to the right rather than the left. How do I set the alignment of the text in the jtextfield to be on the left, so that the first character of the string is shown?
    I've tried using
    setHorizontalAlignmnet(JTextField.LEFT),
    but my text still appears right justified in the jtextfield. It means that the user has to scroll the text to go to the beginning of the string, rather than the usual of scrolling the right to go the end of the string.
    This has really gotten me stumped!

    HI thanks for the help. Unfortunately it doesn't work if the text is longer than the actual textfield. The textfield would still show the end of the text, rather than showing the beginning of the text.
    For e.g.
    |est text|
    is show rather than
    |test tex|
    which is my desired result.
    Any further suggestions please.
