I have a Panasonic Mini DV, with a USB. On My PC i could stream and capture. is there any other way?
Is there any free software that i could download that could capture straight to my Mac.
or is there anything i could download on my PC to convert the .wmv files to .mp4?

i have a Mini DV without a firewire.
instead it has a USB. on a PC i can capture the footage with MovieMaker.
Im wondering how i can either capture it on a mac with the USB

How do I TRANSFER bad transactions without truncation?

Didn't think I'd get stumped on more than one topic today, but here I am again. I've spent most of this afternoon trying to fix this, but to no avail. Here's hoping someone can help.
I am reading through an internal table of transactions. Anything that doesn't update correctly, I'd like to dump the entire transaction out to my dataset. Here's what I'm doing:
    LOOP AT it_update_error INTO wa_error.
      TRANSFER wa_error TO w_dsn.
    ENDLOOP.
The first few fields in wa_error are all CHAR or NUMC and display with no problem. But the output of wa_error is truncated at a date field (data type DATS). I tried moving wa_error to a string, but that didn't solve my problem. I don't want to do anything fancy, just dump the entire transaction out to the dataset.
Can someone tell me if I'm missing something here? Thanks everyone. As always, points given for all helpful replies!

OK - I see you are writing to the APP server. Try doing something like this:
OPEN DATASET dsn FOR OUTPUT.
LOOP AT itab.
TRANSFER itab-field TO dsn.
ENDLOOP.
CLOSE DATASET dsn.
CLEAR   itab.
REFRESH itab.
OPEN DATASET dsn FOR INPUT.
DO.
READ DATASET dsn INTO itab-field.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
    APPEND itab.
ELSE.
    EXIT.
ENDIF.
ENDDO.
The final itab should have the correct results.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Move your excess photos to a cloud service like Dropbox or save them on a computer (which can put them on a flash drive).
You won't be able to do this on the iPad.

I have bought my iPhone 3G yesterday. I have found out how to transfer music from iTunes however i can't transfer videos. I'm selecting the videos i want to transfer on the videos tab after i chose my iphone from the side menu and pressing apply. iTunes says that its syncing my iphone but it doesnt transfer the videos.
Lately i have found out a function on the advanced menu for movies as "create iphone or ipod version". When i used that it transfered that video to my iPhone however the sound was completely lost besides that action takes too much time(around 10 mins for a 3 min video and i have a pretty strong computer).
How can i transfer videos without losing the sound to my iPhone 3G?

One thing I'd recommend is that you make sure the video/audio you're trying to transfer falls within the guidelines listed in the 'Video' section here:

What's most likely happening is that the file is not converted as such so when you try to transfer it, it's wanting to convert it but is unable to for any number of reasons.
There's software out there that might make this easier for you but I can't recommend anything specifically.

Sign in game center with your APPLE ID on the new device and open the game

You can change the account shortname to whatever you wish to use.
As you can see from my example above. Once you click on the Create User button a new account will be created.
She will need to get her own Apple ID setup so when she starts with iTunes she can open her own iTunes account unless you both want to share the use of the same Apple ID. This can create a bit of confusion if you have your own iPads or iPhones or iPods. As you have discovered it's pretty much one iDevice with one Apple ID.

When I plugged it into a monitor I had used it with before, I'm not able to see anything on the macbook screen to control it. It came on but I just got the blue screen with nothing else after typing in my password. (Didn't see the password form just assumed it was there somewhere and it did go from space to blue screen but no desktop icons, files, dock strip at top or anything else, just blank blue screen) so I can't access the system preferences.

I'd like to promise you that everything will be fine if you just get the monitor going - but it's hard to know what the hardware damage might be. It might be the monitor, or the damage might be greater.
Your best solution would be visit your local Apple Store and let them know what your situation is. They have access to diagnostics you don't, and they might be able to the best way to save your data and keep you computing. It's still not covered, but they can tell you what your current options are.
Um, you might consider investing in a backup drive.
