How fetch data from a view(which is located in different server) using Oracle APEX webservices

Hi,
I have a requirement to fetch the view data from client instance(which is different server) to another instance lets say Development instance
Requirement:
Need to get the Apps View data from the Desired EBS instance(which is accessible online) using webservices,and display it in the Oracle Apex Development Instance.
Kindly provide your inputs how to achieve this.

Are you getting an error? The way you have it set up, you can have an error and it will never be displayed. Put and error control on your front panel and see what it gives you. Also, shared variables in a project can be useful. Look at some examples for that.

Hi Nitin,
We can't directly refer a view to get data.
We need to refer the tables using which a view has been created.
Using those tables, we can fetch the data as per our requirement.
For suppose, if you go to a view in SE11, then click on Tables tab, there you can get the reference tables.Then you need to check for the fileld in those tables for which you require the data.
Post the query directly on the table instead of view.

Fetch data from table(ET_) which is exporting parameter of function module

Hi,
I m new to ABAP programming.
I have to develop a smartform that has to be filled in with fields from few tables.
These tables have the naming convention ET_<XXX> (i.e. exporting parameter of function module).
I m not able to directly view its contents in se11 or use select query for it.
I have a report program which i can execute to view these parameter names.
Now, how do i fetch data from these parameters/tables and pass it from my driver program to smartform??

Fetch Data from an Object which is Input parameter to a BADI

Hi all,
This is a requirement in a BADI. The BADI is triggered by some program and the BADI has an Object ct_valid_lanes as an Input Parameter.
The Object ct_valid_lanes is of type "ANY TABLE". By debugging, I found out that it has many fields say MATNR, MATID, LOCNO etc etc..and has more than one data for each field.
I want to fetch these data from the object and put it into my internal table. I can't loop at an object and also I don't know how to read fields in an object. I am new to OOPS concept. Kindly, help.

Uploading data from a view in legacy system to SAP

Hi,
I am developing a custom table in sap. The data in this table will be loaded from a view which exists in the clients legacy system (Oracle db).There will be no middleware for the data transfer.
How can this be done in SAP? Can anybody provide a detailed procedure to do this?

Is the Legacy system capable of calling 'BAPI' or 'RFC'.
If yes, than you can create a RFC function module and with in the function module, you can write code to populate values to ZTABLE.
When the Legacy system calls the RFC with values, your Ztable will be updated

SQL Select Performance - Approached to fetch data from big table

I just wanted to know view on different approached to fetch data from a table which has 40 billion records and which joined to another table which has 1 million record.
e.g.
I have two tables TableA and TableB
TableA has 40 Billion records has 6 columns
     TableA has partitions on Date
     TableA has required indexes
TableB has 1 Milluion record and has 10 columns
     Table A has indexes
Now I have written query like
select distinct TableA.column1,TableA.column2,TableB.columnA
FROM TableA join TableB
ON TableA.Column1=TableB.Column2
WHERE TableA.DateColumn between StartDate and EndDate
for a given date range it will fetch 5 billion of records which takes around 40 minutes.
I just wanted to know what all tuning approaches I can follow. What would be the best approach to make record retrieval faster in such a scenario.
Just wanted to know your vies/experience in such a scenario

and,
possibly using parallel query,
pop into my mind.
I would be interested though in the business requirement that asks for you to write a program that gets 5 billion (!) rows out of the database...

Generic datasource by function module to fetch data from multiple tables?

I'm writing a function module to fetch price, for generic datasource.
At first, extract test is OK. But InfoPackage never stop when loading data to PSA in BW.
And I find the example codes:

General method to fetch data from transparent tables with cluster field

Means using the IMPORT statement we can fetch data from any cluster field?
Yes, basically you should use IMPORT/EXPORT statements for clusters.
AR and MC are cluster ID (area identification), so called RELID.
By definition cluster is a combination of table and such area i.e
PCL2(RX) - international payroll resuts from table PCL2
PCL2(B2) - time results

I want to fetch data from two tables which are in two separate database. Is it possible to fetch similar from two schemas of same database.

Say you have two schema S1 and S2 in the same database 'xyz' then you can create two database links to these two schemas from any third schema as ::
CREATE database link s1link connect to S1 identified by <password of S1> using 'xyz' ;
CREATE database link s2link connect to S2 identified by <password of S2> using 'xyz' ;
Now say if there is a table called tab1 in schema S1, then you can get data from it as ::
SELECT T1.*
FROM tab1@s1link T1
WHERE < you can put conditions here> ;
Similarly for the columns of a table of schema S2.

I can vaguely recall some sort of JavaFX database connectivity feature, I'm not sure if it's valid anymore.The link is based on JavaFX Composer which only applied to NetBeans 6.9 and JavaFX 1.x (both of which are now dead techs).

How does the query decide which Infoprovider to fetch data from

Could somebody please explain what steps go on in background to enable the query to decide which Infoproviders it should fetch data from in a multiprovider.Assuming that in the multprovider we have some infocubes that are logically partitioned by Fiscal Year and other cubes that are not.

Does the RRKMULTIPROVHINT technique work in case of a multiprovider that is not homogenous... Also in case there are 5 infocubes, does the select query run on fact table of all infocubes or are select queries run initially on the dimension tables and based upon which infocube has the required data for the query the fact table is queried..

How to fetch data from a SAP BW Cube via Perl/PHP on a Linux machine?

here's the scenario:
I need to fetch data from a cube of a remote SAP NetWeaver 7. The data will later be used in a web application based on Linux and Perl/PHP. (I'd prefer using perl for the backend and doing the business logic of the web application.)
I have:
A Linux system with all its on-board tools and scripting languages.
A user for the SAP BW which allows me to logon (very,very limited user rights, no se37,no se80,no rsaX and so on)
Access to http://<SAP BW Server>:<Port>/sap/bw/xml/soap/xmla with the above mentioned user.
My questions:
- Could you please push me into the right direction how I can realize this? E.g. by pointing to tutorials / HowTos / sample code / CPAN modules etc.. (Most information I found so far referred to software based on a different operating system and on remote function calls using custom functions.)
- I'm aware of the SAPNW::RFC CPAN module, but do I necessarily have to perform a remote function call? ( If so, is there a "standard" function I could call for accessing a cube?)
