How is the MachineKey used in FBA
Hi
I understand how to configure FBA and set machines keys across web apps / servers / farms etc but I made a mistake and can't explain why it lets me login.
I have a SP2010 Extranet farm and a SP2013 Extranet farm that both use FBA. The 2010 farm was build (inc FBA) several years ago, the 2013 farm last year. I initially configured the 2013 farm to have a new membership db. At this point i sync'd the machine
keys for all Web apps, STS, CA. I then decided to use the existing 2010 db so I changed the connection string and everyone who could login to 2010 could login to 2013 (once the site was migrated across). Note the machine keys are different on the two farms.
Why can they login? Also if I use 2013 to reset the password the user can no longer login but if I then use 2010 they can once again. This is also the case for creating users, 2013 no, 2010 fine.
I thought the machine key was used during the login process and not just to encrypt the password for storage.
Can anyone explain why users can login and why the 2010 farm is needed for password resers / creating users?

Then why the brouhaha about never using == to compare Strings?The key thing here is that the String returned by getPropertyName() must have come from a String literal. For example, in javax.swing.JComboBox:

If they had instead done something like

firePropertyChange((isMaximum ? "maximum" : "minimum") + s, oldCount, maximumRowCount );In this case, the String literal "maximumRowCount" is not used, but rather created from a concatenation at runtime, so it's likely that the comparison would fail.
Note that the following would be the same String literal because this concatenation would be done at compile-time, not runtime:

driveNot sure who would want an XP machine without the installed functional OS at SP3 level. Even that workable scenerio is bothersome given that XP is officially in full non-supported mode. It's limited to Internet Explorer 9. There are no Microsoft Updates. Nada, Zip.... Because it is XP, which is at END of LIFECYCLE, and the fact that you did not mention the model # does present a quandry.(1) XP is 12 years old. How old is that drive? New Old Stock (NOS) EIDE and Sata150 hard drives were very prevalent during the XP years. NOS drives are now more costly than new drives. But new drives do not work with XP readily.2) New design hard drives are Sata600. These rarely perform kindly with XP systems. Even the older Sata300 drives require a complicated install modification and floppy disk patches.3) It's only a mere $27 and shipping for a set of install disks (you never mentioned if you had them, which was the norm for an XP OS). Those disks would exrase the hard drive and re-install the OS. Purchase here. 4) Your will also need to have downloaded SP1 and SP2 and SP3 and burn these separately onto CD's. If your not upto it, just smash up the hard drive, and carry off the computer to a re-cycler.

How does the predator AG3 used the 128 GB ssd and the 2TB hdd together
I am contemplating buying a Predator AG3 from Costco. It comes with 128b ssd and a 2tb Hdd. How does the system use the two in combination? Is the ssd only for booting? Will Windows be on the SSD. Will the system know to go to the HDD for programs not on the SSD? I have no experience in using a system with two different type drives.
SSD is normally used as OS installation and some heavy load programs (video - audio - image editing)HDD is used as data storage or to install big size programs (mostly games). Decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing Notes with iCloud, you'll also have to email your notes to yourself so they can be recreated in the new account as they cannot be migrated.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa). -

Whenever an exception is raised how to log the exception using Log action in oracle service bus.After logging where I have to find the logged message.It would be in the log file for the managed server which ran the request. If you are logging the message at a lower level than your app server, however, you won't see it. You should be logging the exception at Error level.

When I create a New Folder (on the desktop or in Finder), the system uses the Generic Document Icon instead of the Generic Folder Icon. How can I change this back?
All of a sudden I noticed that most of the folders on my computer were no longer using the folder icon, but the generic document icon. I had to manually change back the icon being used by opening Get Info for each folder and copying and pasting the generic folder icon from some folders that remained unchanged. Now whenever I create a New Folder (right click -> "New Folder"), the icon that shows up is the generic document icon (white page with top right corner turned down). And I have to manually change it so it shows up as a folder in Finder or on my desktop. I don't know why or how this switch happened. All of the folders now on my computer look ok, but I need to change the default so when I create a New Folder it uses the correct icon.
I have also Forced Relaunch of my Finder and rebooted the system. I downloaded Candybar but am not sure what will fix anything, so I haven't proceeded.
Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.Anyone?

How do I use GarageBand as a amp/speaker to listen to my Electronic Drum set? I have a MIDI-USB cord already but I can't figure out how to listen to my set through the software using my computer speakers?
If you want to listen to the sounds of your drum set, you should use an audio cable and connect it to the computer's line-in, then create a real instrument track.
If you use a Midi/USB interface, you'll have to create a software instrument track and select one of GB's drumsets as the instrument. Hopefully your drumset's midi notes are mapped to the right sounds in GB. -
How to get page number from the PDF using Javascript

We are having list of Single page PDF. The pdf are named in the order,
ISBN_Author_01.PDF (with real page number as i)
ISBN_Author_02.PDF (with real page number as ii)
ISBN_Author_03.PDF (with real page number as iii)
ISBN_Author_04.PDF (with real page number as 1)
ISBN_Author_05.PDF (with real page number as 2)
ISBN_Author_06.PDF (with real page number as 3)
ISBN_Author_nn.PDF (with real page number as 500)
Here each pdf has a page number and in sequential order.
The task is to check whether all the pdfs are in sequential order (i.e i, ii, iii, 1, 2, 3). If any page is missing, the script should throw an error report.
To do this task, I am writing a Javascript to get the real page number from the PDF.
Can anybody help me how to get the page number from the PDF using Javascript.

GopalThe "real" page number within a PDF is the count of the physical page starting at 0, zero.

The number printed on each page is the page label.
setPageLabels getPageLabel
You will have to open each PDF and your script would need to know the page label for that file. I would expect you would need to build a 2 dimensional array of the file names and the page label for the page within that array.
