How to handle empty file using sftp adapter
Hi,
Please explain me how to handle empty files in sftp adapter.
Thanks,
EnivassHi Enivaas,
I don't have the seeburger sftp adapter at hand at the moment, but asfar as I remember, this does not specifically have an empty-file handling option like the standard ftp adapter.
So to stop emtyp files from being written, guess would need to handle this at the mapping level. For example, check for target creation criteria in the header node in mapping. If the creation criteria is not met, you can throw an error in mapping.
You may also incorporate this condition in your Receiver determination. In this case, if the condition is not satisfied, no receiver is determined in PI.

How to put edfact file using b2b adapter
All,
I have to print a edifact file and place it in a certain location using b2b and soa. could you please let me know how this could be done. in the b2b console i could see only listening channels. could this be done directly through b2b adapter or should i use soa adapter.. if either how..
pls guide..
regards
Rakeshhi Anuj,
i went through the docs
1. the doc with the sample is hard to understand. i opened the composite, but i guess the b2b config changes also needs to be done. they are not clearly mentioned in the doc.
2. cant find details to create outbound adapter in edifact faormat...
you aware of any other links or samples. Also I am new to B2B...

Addition of a header line to a flat file using Custom Adapter Module?
Is the header that you want to add to the input file always a constant?
In that case why go for a module. Directly map the required constants during the mapping to your IDoc.
My suggestion is to avoid the moduleHi Shabrish,
The Header is not a constant field always as the value changes per file adapter so a module will be helpful, and it will be a must to add the Header record as the first line.
Can you suggest/direct me to some appropriate blogs? Thanks

How to get the incoming file name using JMS adapter and SOAP adapter
Hi Everybody,
In one of my interface i need to get the file name of incoming flat file using JMS adapter at sender side. and then i am using xslt to convert it to IDOC and then posting to SAP IDOC.
my incoming filname are in this form price<DateTimestamp>.txt. when i do the tranformation this incoming file name should be part of one element in the IDOC which i am posting.
EX:
<IDOC
<REF>price<DateTimestamp>.txt</REF>
</IDOC>
Hope it is clear to everybody. I need your suggestion how i can capture this incoming file name and send it as part of IDOC.
Thanks
rajIf they are passing it in message id or correlation id,
you can access it using
<xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf"
select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')" />
<xsl:variable name="dynamic-key"
select="key:create('http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS', 'DCJMSMessageID/ DCJMSCorrelationID')" />
<xsl:variable name="dynamic-value"
select="dyn:get($dynamic-conf, $dynamic-key)" />

Reading huge flat file through SOAP adapter
Hi Everybody,
In one of our interface we need to read big flat file using soap adapter at sender side into xi and we are using java map to convert into xml. but before that i need to split this flat file into multiple files in the first message mapping. and in the second map we have to write a java map to do the flat file conversion to XMLBut i got struck up in reading this big flat file into XI as i need to declare some datatype to read this entire file. Can anybody tell me how i can do this. is it a possible to do first of all with SOAP adapter .
Thanks
rajhi vijay,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Due to some reasons i am not allowed to use file adapter . i can use only JMS adapter or SOAP adapter. we tried few scenarios with JMS content conversion but what ever scenario i am asking here is complex at multilevel i can't even use JMS in this case. so we are thinking to read whole file using SOAP adapter and then we are planning to split the file into multiple files, as file can be huge size ,using java mapping and in next level we want to use another mapping to do content conversion. SO I have to do experiements whether this is a feasible solution or not. because when u declare at sender side
<ffdata_MT>
<Recordset>
<ROW> String type
when u declare like this and when u sent the flat file using SOAP adapter at sender side we are getting whole file which we sent at part of "ROW" as string. but inside java mapping i need to see whenther i can split this in XI ,so that i can use these split files in next mapping for content conversion. Hope i am clear now. I want to know whether it is a feasible solution or not.
I really appreciate if sombody give some idea on this
Thanks

How to Create a Flat File using FTP/File Adapter
Can any body done workaround on creating the Flat file using FTP/File Adapter?.
I need to create a simple FlatFile either using of delimiter/Fixed length. using the above said adapters we can create XML file, i tried concatinating all the values into a single String and writing into a file, but it does not have proper structure
Can any body help me out on this..
Thanks
RamYou can create a text schema while creating a File Adapter. If schema is specified for File Adapter, it takes care of converting XML into fixed length or delimited format.

How to Set JMS property and Read JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter
Does any one know how to set or read more than one JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter. My queue server is Oracle JMS server.
Any help and sample is well appreciatedHi Van
I have noted that only the attribute "type" is missing. It seems that when you create a "string" property, the attribute "type" is droped from the XML. If you use another type (as "integer" or "double") it stays there.
If you try to read your properties, except for the "type" attribute, you should be successful, as I am. If you need, please tell me your email, I can send you my code.

Same file name using JMS adapter on sender side.
Hi Friends,
I got a requirement to capture file name using JMS adapter on the sender side.
Can some one help me in resolving this issue.
Regards,
Jeevan.Hi ,
You can use Dynamic Configuration in mapping.
Create a UDF with input as file name and copy/paste this code
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
//conf.removeAll();
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
//String filename= conf.get(key);
conf.put(key, fileName);
key= null;
return fileName;
Thanks.
