How read .iwa files

Pages has crashed, my file is now corrupted and I'm trying to get the text from this file.
if I Right click on the file > Show package content > open index.zip , I can see a bunch of .iwa files which seems to contains my original text, especially "Document.iwa".
If I "$ nano Document.iwa" (because "$ file" only returns "data") I can see some of my text, but the overall seems crypted.
Does anyone know how to decode/read this kind of .iwa file to recover text?

Not sure why the corruption happens - can't help fix that one. I did notice that the file that becomes corrupted gets a weird extension added making it a folder and preventing pages from opening the file.
*FIX*
Rename the folder to only include .pages and select the option to change the extension.
Once the rename is done you will be able to open the file in Pages again.

How read a file from applet?

Hello.
I have an applet which is in a signed jar file. And a configuration xml file. All I want to do is to put it near the jar file and access to it from applet. But applet cannot find it. I just want to read it simply. Also I don�t want to put it in a specified location on the server and want to have it near the jar file.

Check the API doc for Applet (that's java.applet.Applet). You call myApplet.getDocumentBase() to get the base URL (directory). I believe the base URL returned is actually the base URL of the HTML doc which your applet is embedded in. Add your xml filename to the end of the path. Then look at the API doc for java.net.URLConnection. You can call myURLConnection.getInputStream() to get an input stream of your xml.

Perform an over-all search (right upper corner) on TEXT_IO, and in the results you will find a manual on how to use the package.

My Excel file starts from the first row and first column and also the first row contains the names of the column.
It give me the following error..
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'abadata'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.
How can I deal with this.?I have properly selected the worksheet while giving the DSN . Is there any versionig problem with Excel or some drivers are in appropriate..and yes i chose Microsoft Excel Driver (.xsl) from ODBC .
I created System DSN.

How to read .mdb file from shared folder

In one of my local computer I have a shared folder and within the folder I have a .mdb file. Now I am trying to read that file from MII. I have tried with Get_File_List action block. I am providing the following information to Get_File_List

When I open iPhoto 9.2.1 it says that my library needs to be upgraded but when I upgrade the library I am trying to open (33 GB worth of pictures from 2006) the new application says it cannot read the files and how to find them on the system to reimport?!

hello, it sounds like the library is damaged.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

The best thing to do is ask your friends what programs they used to produce these files, or at least what format files they are producing. Otherwise it's like being shown a car and given a bundle of 200 keys with no idea to which one to use, or even if any of them work with that car.
Using The Unarchiver will likely not do anything because it too will not know what format files are involved, and they may not even been in an archived format. If they sent you a Word file without telling you (a favorite of Windows users to do -- it drives me crazy when they could have just sent them in plain text), The Unarchiver won't open them. If it's a picture file then using Hexedit will just show you a bunch of unintelligible stuff as shown in an earlier post, though you may see a line of text providing a hint.
As I said earlier, often .bin may be an executable program which needs another program to actually interpret it. That's what Java is trying to do. Still, it may think it can execute the file, but it is highly unlikely somebody would send you an executable program (and if they did I would not trust it). For all you know it may be a Windows virus.

I have made a LabVIEW program where I have possibility to read a PDF document. When I made this LabVIEW program it was Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 that was installed on the PC. Lather when the Acrobat Reader was upgraded to version 6.0, there was an error when VI tries to launch the LabVIEW program. And Later again when we upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 I must again do some changes and rebuild the EXE files again
It isn't so very big job to do the changes in one single LabVIEW program, but we have built a lot of LabVIEW programs so this take time to due changes every time vi update Acrobat Reader. (We have build EXE files.)
The job is to right click the ActiveX container and Click "Insert ActiveX Object", then I can brows the computer for the new version of acrobat Reader. After this I must rebuild all the "methods" in the Activex call to make the VI executable again.
Is there a way to build LabVIEW program so I don't have to do this job every time we update Acrobat Reader?
This LabVIEW program is written in LabVIEW 6.1, but I se the problem is the same in LabVIEW 8.2.

We can use script component as source/transformation to read the text file and assign the contains to a string. Split the string by chr(30) i.e RS and finally stored into an array or write to the output buffer of the script component.
