I have an encoder of 2500 ppm quadrature differential signal, and i link
this with a FP_quad_510
The value reading count/microsec how is possible to transform in RPM?
Why if i use the FP configurator in the edit device/channel if i setting a
range of -1,25_1,25 coerce the value range at the default range setting?
Courtesly i would like information of field point quadrature encoder end
reading position,speed,reset on the revolution exc.

Right click on any of these files and do a Get Info. Notice that there is, in fact, a Disc number field. So you can make disc numbers 1/10, 2/10 and so on.
iTunes and the iPod are both smart enough to recognize that there are disc numbers there and act correctly. So it'll start with Disc 1, play all that disc, then go to Disc 2, and so forth. It's just a matter of having correct disc number tags.
You can tag disc numbers for a whole disc at once. Simply select all the songs in a single disc (hold SHIFT or CTRL while selecting the songs), right click, Get Info, and you get the mass tag editor screen. Add the disc number info for this disc, and it'll tag that info to all those songs. Repeat for each disc.

I have an applet which is in a signed jar file. And a configuration xml file. All I want to do is to put it near the jar file and access to it from applet. But applet cannot find it. I just want to read it simply. Also I don�t want to put it in a specified location on the server and want to have it near the jar file.

Check the API doc for Applet (that's java.applet.Applet). You call myApplet.getDocumentBase() to get the base URL (directory). I believe the base URL returned is actually the base URL of the HTML doc which your applet is embedded in. Add your xml filename to the end of the path. Then look at the API doc for java.net.URLConnection. You can call myURLConnection.getInputStream() to get an input stream of your xml.

Hello, for my application I'm using a proximity sensor to count pulses using the CTR-400. To obtain velocity, I can make some calculations based on frequency or period but I was wondering if I can delegate this annoying task to the QUAD-510 module At the moment I'm able to read velocity using an encoder, but what if I use a single phase sensor like a proximity?

Hello MacBook Pro Musicians- I cannot read sheet music from the ipad. It is too small. I want to connect a large monitor, hopefully wirelessly to my 13 inch macbook pro. what would I need to connect ? Any suggestions on how to keep monitor from falling?

Hello Macbook Pro Musicians--I cannot read sheet music from my 13" macbook or from an IPad. The print is too small for these aging eyes! So I need to get a large monitor to attach to the Macbook. I want the monitor to be connected wirelessly or using a blue tooth. This will eliminate alot of potential mishaps
when playing out. Also I am having a time figuring out how I am going to safely keep the monitor on somekind of music stand without falling!!! Can anyone help me with this?

As you can see in my profile section, my MBP is older by 5 years, 2GB RAM and with regards to question 1 (Q1), has no problems with having all those programs open at the same time with the possible exception of Photoshop since I use Gimp instead. With twice the RAM and much overall much better specs, Photoshop shouldn't be an issue. But you listed some other activities that might need that additional RAM. But the advise most give is to not get it from Apple but from a third party.
Q5 - I always get Apple Care. Only had to use it once but it paid for itself that one time.
Sorry, can't help you much with the questions you really want answered since I won't have a new MBP until (hopefully) next week but for Q4, I believe it depends on the peripheral. My current monitors are too old to allow them to be hooked up in a chain. Supposedly, if the monitors do have the ports, you could via the MBP Thunderbolt port. The speeds are also dependent upon the peripheral. If the external hard drive is using a USB 2 port, you are limited by that speed (480 Mb/s). If it has a Thunderbolt port, then from what I understand, we, my friend, are in for some great times because I believe your RAM will have the ability to access data as fast as it can take it at 10Gb/s (and if will need those kinds of speeds, the 8GB of RAM may be the way to go). The Thunderbolt demos on YouTube where they are accessing four video files from a Raid drive, then sending them back out via Final Cut Pro to a monitor are amazing. I'll probably never push this machine to anywhere near it's limits but I can't wait to see what others do.

I am trying to read in values from my database (MySQL) to
authorware, but the best I am able to get is true or false.
I would like to be able to get some data from the database
and return it to AW as a string. Does anyone have any experience

all have identical names except for a number in the variable

should be looking at lists. I'm surprised, Paul, that you
have lists used

Also note that this is extensible...you can have Lesson 9,
10, etc. and not
have to change the code. You can also lower the amount of
data being
transmitted, because now instead of Lesson8Complete=1 all you

This lowers the server load and speeds the response. It has
advantages on
the Authorware side as well, because if, for instance, you
had a series of
buttons that were checked or not based on the completion, you
could do the
same type of loop. Separate variable names do not allow for
that type of
loop unless you use Eval (ugh).

CFP-QUAD-510 won't read encoder inputs 5V

I have a cFP-1808 ethernet interface with 7 modules attached. One
is a cFP-QUAD-510. When I hook an encoder to this module and view
velocity/position measurements in MAX, I only get valid results if I
use the module's 5VDC regulator to power the encoder. The encoder
itself can take 5-24VDC, but when I try giving it 12VDC or 24VDC, I get
no new updates in MAX (i.e. the status is successful, the velocity
reads zero, and the time stamp doesn't change from when I first started
the task). While powering the encoder with these external
supplies, I put a scope on the encoder outputs and verified that they
are 90 deg offset square waves (with amplitudes at 11V and 22V
respectively) as expected.    When I use the 12VDC or 24VDC
power supply as input to the 5VDC regulator and power the encoder off
that, everything seems to work perfectly.   The only
difference between the two cases is the voltage level given to the
encoder. The manual for the cFP-QUAD-510 claims that it can
accept encoder levels as high as 30V.   I'm testing now for a
future application where I won't have the option of powering an encoder
with the 5V regulator. What could be causing this problem?

Macbook Pro 1.1 how to improve read/write speed

Hello,
I am looking to improve the read/write performance of a 2006 2.16 Intel Core Duo Macbook Pro with 2gb RAM (the max), that I use on a specific job in a specific workflow.
In the workflow there are three retouchers using three different MBPs and transferring files via Ethernet network to a fourth MBP (the one in question) which is used as a dropbox, if you like.
So the MBP in question has no applications running. Files are saved to it and opened from it and saved back to it.
How can I improve read/write speed on this MBP under these conditions?
Would installing an SSD be the answer? Or is it really a processor issue and there's nothing to be done? I figure RAM doesn't really come into it, but in any case 2GB is the max this model can accept.

How to read .mdb file from shared folder

In one of my local computer I have a shared folder and within the folder I have a .mdb file. Now I am trying to read that file from MII. I have tried with Get_File_List action block. I am providing the following information to Get_File_List

How to open and read many files from a directory and store contents in 2D array?

I want to make a VI that opens and reads the data from various files contained in a directory (200 files each with 2 columns) and store these in a single 2D array. For file number 1 I want to store the data from both columns in the 2D array, but for files 2 to 200 I only want to store the second column of each file. Can someone please help?

Thanks for your help. I have followed your instructions but i cannot get it to work. I used the LIST DIRECTORY to list the files in the directory - that works. However, how do I read each of the 200 files using READ FROM SPREADSHEET FILE without me having to manually select each of the 200 files? So, if I use LIST DIRECTORY to list all 200 files in an array, how do I get each of these to open and store the data in a 2D array?
