How to access a child's timeline in actionscript 3.0?

ok so i have a cloud named cloud2_mc and in its timeline i have a cloud layer, and an actions layer. I took the cloud and made it into a a Movie clip clip with an instance name of embeddedcloud_mc in this Movie clips timeline i have a 50 frame animation of the cloud breaking appart and disapating with a tween and i have a stop(); function on frame 1 of this layer.
What I want to happen is, when the cloud2_mc movie clip is clicked to play the animation of the cloud breaking appart. the cloud2_mc has a trajectory moving slowly accross the sceen continuously when the cloud2_mc reaches the side of the sceen it loops again. When the animation is clicked i would like it to continue across its path but, when the cloud2_mc reaches to left hand side of the screen i want the embeddedcloud_mc to reset its timeline and go back to its original state where the cloud has not broken appart.
My question is, how do I access an embedded movie clips timeline to tell it to play an animation on its timeline as well as, how do i make the same object restet its timeline to frame 1?

To access an objects timeline you just need to target the object. If all the names you are talking about are instance names (not library names) then you can taregt your embedded cloud timeline using...
cloud2_MC.embeddedcloud_mc, as in...
cloud2_MC.embeddedcloud_mc.play();
cloud2_MC.embeddedcloud_mc.gotoAndStop(1);

Very simple use: you click on a button, a window appears. the button that makes the window appear is supposed to hide some elements which it does. HOWEVER when I want to use a close button within the symbol (window) to make these symbols appear again, it doesnt work.

Doesnt work.

• How can i access my childs messages from my phone or computer?

I need to access my childs phone messages, texts and photos, both out going and incoming. There has been activity late at night and i want to know if he is safe.

Yes, a code is sent to the phone. You must enter this code into the web page or app in order to start receiving texts on the computer or another portable device. This is to prevent people from spying on you without your knowledge.
I understand there is no single correct parenting advice, and we must adapt. In our house, the rules are: you do not own the phone until you pay the entire cost of service, no passwords on the device or any app that the parents do not know, random and on demand "safety checks" can be done at any time, and phone must be handed over at anytime. Removal of the phone is also a form of punishment. All apps are set up on the Apple family so we must approve before downloaded. Any app that I cannot get into due to a password that is not known gets deleted. I use the term "trust but verify" with them, but basically, if their age ends in "teen" truth gets distorted, no matter how good of a parent you are. They will always come back with "don't you trust me." (answer - most of the time, but not enough with real life situations that you won't get yourself in trouble) and I need privacy (answer - life lesson, anything you put on line is not private so you might as well start understanding that now)

• AS3: How to access and control embedded sounds in an external swf?

I rarely use sounds in AS3/Flash. I am using Flash Pro CS6, but I can't seem to figure out how to access, control (play, stop, etc) sounds embedded in an external SWF loaded into the main SWF.
It's easy to control them when embedded on the main swf. However, on an externally loaded SWR, I get all kinds of errors. For this app, I really need to embed them in the external SWF.
I read several solutions, but none seem to work.
I embed the sound an mp3 file called soundSegment1.mp3 using Flash CS6 import tool and then open the actionscript properties panel on flash to select the class name: SoundSegment1. Then I edit the class code and create a file called SoundSegment1.as and it's saved right next to my document class main.as in the same directory. The code of the SoundSegment1 class looks like this:
package  {
import flash.media.*;
public class SoundSegment1 extends Sound
public function SoundSegment1 ()
// no code in here
public function playSound()
var soundSegment1:Sound = new SoundSegment1();
var channel:SoundChannel = soundSegment1.play();
Then, in my main.as, I have done several attempts to play this sound such as:
var fileLocation:URLRequest = new URLRequest(SWFToLoad); loader.load(fileLocation); loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, progressListener); loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completeListener); loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.INIT, initListener);
function initListener(e:Event):void // I also placed this code on the completeListener and it didn't work {      loader.content.soundSegment1.playSound(); // doesn't work.  }
I get:
Line XXX 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method playSound through a reference with static type flash.display:DisplayObject.
or, I also read that I should be able to do something like this anywhere in the Main.as file:
var theClass:Class = Class(loader.content.getDefinitionByName("SoundSegment1")); var theSound:theClass = new theClass(); theSound.play()  //doesn't work either.
I also tried on the completeListener:
var TheClass:Class = e.target.applicationDomain.getDefinition("SoundSegment1") as Class; var theSound:TheClass = new TheClass();
theSound.play()  //doesn't work either.
I get:
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable SoundSegment1 is not defined. at flash.system::ApplicationDomain/getDefinition()
I am stuck and I really need to get this to work. I would be genuinely grateful for your help.
Thank you in advance for any help provided. I really need to get it to work, because I can't simply embed them in the main SWF or load them individually externally one by one.
Thanks again!

THANK YOU!
I think your code may be over my head though. I think you are using an anonymous function which is not something I am familiar with (but I want to learn about if it's useful).
I also don't know where the classS came from. I see that it's a parameter sent along with the event, but I don't really see where that came from.
Someone at: http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?305098-Playing-a-embedded-sound-in-an-external- swf&p=2658098#post2658098
Is showing what seems to be an easier solution, but my problem there is I can't access the source file of the "child" swf.... ayayay.....
I am going to tinker with your solution and see if it gets me anywhere. Thanks so much for your help again.

I try connecting to Revenue records with web services using the same user

Inside a class extending System.Web.UI.Page, I use the

I found another way to access Revenue records. Instead of accessing the
ListOfRevenue field of the Account web service, I access the ListOfProduct
field of the Opportunity web service. I also instantiate Opportunity2
objects so that the code to get a list of opportunities and products
(containing revenue fields) becomes
Opportunity2[] rtnListOfOpportunity = new
Opportunity2[intOpportunityCount];
try
for (int intOppIdx = 0; intOppIdx < intOpportunityCount;
intOppIdx++)
rtnListOfOpportunity[intOppIdx] = new Opportunity2();
rtnListOfOpportunity[intOppIdx].ListOfProduct =
new Product[intProductCount];
for (int intProdIdx = 0; intProdIdx < intProductCount;
intProdIdx++)
rtnListOfOpportunity[intOppIdx].ListOfProduct[intProdIdx] =
new Product();
return rtnListOfOpportunity;

Weird. I'm not a big C# programmer but the code looks right. I'm curious -
could you post some soap loads of the request. I'm wondering if there's
something weird going on with the proxy.

I Assume the following is your sample data
Table Name: Tab1
RegID CustID Registration_Start      Registration_End
1      1      01/04/2005           07/04/2005
2      2      01/03/2005           29/05/2005
3      1      21/03/2005           29/03/2005
4      1      01/03/2005           21/03/2005
Note : For the Regid "4" I have changed the Registration_End to 21/03/2005. It was earlier 21/04/2005.
Coming to the query, you need to generate the list of regid that have gaps.
Try the following query:
SELECT c.*
FROM tab1 c
WHERE c.reg_id NOT IN (
SELECT a.reg_id
FROM tab1 a, tab1 b
WHERE a.cust_id = b.cust_id
AND a.registration_end = b.registration_start
Note: I am sorry I didn't have access to the data base to execute my query. Correct me if I am wrong.

• How to access attribute

Hi all,
I am new to webdynpro for ABAP. How to access the attribute which is directly under the root context.
ex.
Root Context
|
Name   ---> attribute.
Regards,
Gnid.

Hi Gopi,
Accessing a context element or a context attribute requires to first have a reference to the related context node. The context root node can be accessed by the standard attribute WD_CONTEXT.
To Access a Node Element: After having accessed a context node, the reference to the element at lead selection of this node can be obtained by calling the method get_element( ). Thismethod returns a reference to the element instance of type IF_WD_CONTEXT_ELEMENT. Accessing the Node Element at Lead Selection The element with index n can be accessed using the method get_element( index = n ) .
Once we access the element we can access the attribute by GET_ATTRIBUTE().
Child nodes of the context root node can be identified using the get_child_node( ) method. This method returns a reference to the node instance of type IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE. The get_child_node( ) method requires the name of the node and, optionally, the index of the element in the parent node to which the desired node instance belongs. In this case, the parent node is the context root, which only ever has one element; therefore, the index parameter is 1 (default = lead selection of parent element).
Best regards,

• How to access a view object under a nested appmodule in servlet

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to access a view object under a nested appmodule in a servlet?
I know that I can use
ApplicationModule app = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef, config);
ViewObject vo = app.findViewObject(viewObjectName);
to get hold of an appmodule and view object.
But in a nested appmodule, for example, I have am0 as root, am1 as child, and voZ within am1, what should I use for this amDef? config? and viewObjectName?

• How to access View Accessor in VOImpl

Hi
In our application we have two View Objects say VO1 and VO2
Now VO1 has a view accessor as VO2.
VO1 is a View object with programmatically populated rows that i want to populate by executing VO2 in VOimpl of VO1.
How can i access VO2 in VO1.impl file.
Thanks
AJ

Hi,
have you provided view link for both vo..?
if yes then there is no need to manually add child vo as accessor, because in that case in accessor the vl doesnot gets applied..
remove it from accessor list
open vl, goto relation ship, edit accessors, make sure in destination accessor 'In view object' is checked, note the name of accessor for example take it as 'childvo' keeping it default is better.
so in row of parent viewobject you can access the child view rows as following
1-* relationship
Row row = getCurrentRow();
ViewRowSetImpl vrs = (ViewRowSetImpl) row.getAttribute("childvo");1-1 relationship
Row row = getCurrentRow();
ViewRow vrs = (ViewRow) row.getAttribute("childvo");Regards,

• How to access the handle of the Frame window ?

How to access the handle of the frame window through out the application ?. I want to display an alert box, while I click the fifth inner child component of the Frame . I am using Dialog Class for the alert box, I have to pass the frame handle to the Dialog constructer, I am getting the handle of the frame by getParent().getParent()......getParent().. But can any one suggest any better solution.

If you application extends Frame or JFrame, you could simply refer to "this", or if you create a global or final Frame object that you use as your "top-level" component, you could refer to it this way. Additionally, if you're ever in a situation where you really need to go all the way to the top through n levels of components, I believe you could always do something like this...
// assume myContainer is the "child" component that you're on, and you want to find its top-level parent
Container c = myContainer;
while (c.getParent() != null) {
c = c.getParent();
}

Hello everybody. Do you know how can access stock value (corresponding to OITW.StockValue) corresponding to an ItemCode and WarehouseCode in SAP BO 2005 using DI API objects ?
Thanks in advance,

Hello,
you need to use the items Object of the DI
you need to first make a GetByKey on your item Code
this object has a child object called ItemWarehouseInfo,
using this object (it has several line, one by Warehouse), find the good Warehousecode, and look at the value InStock)

• How to access XML elements by name in Extendscript??

I'm almost done the script that I've been working on, but something has been nagging me since I started. When I did start, I looked at the JS Tools Guide CS5 that comes with the extendscript ide to check how to access XML elements, children, attributes etc. It says this:
The XML object represents an XML element node in an XML tree. The topmost XML object for an XML file
represents the root node. It acts as a list, which contains additional XML objects for each element. These in
turn contain XML objects for their own member elements, and so on.
The child elements of an element tree are available as properties of the XML object for the parent. The
name of the property corresponds to the name of the element. Each property contains an array of XML
objects, each of which represents one element of the named type.
So basically it converts the XML into JSON. And you can access the properties like so:
<book category="COOKING">

The Boston Cooking-School Cookbook

<year>1896</year>
<price>49.99</price>
</book>
The Javascript statement bookstoreXML.book; returns the entire list of books.
The statement bookstoreXML.book[0]; returns the XML object for the first book.
The statement bookstoreXML.book[0].author; returns all authors of the first book.
A couple pages down it talks about Retrieving contained elements using children(), elements(), descendants().
So now I look through the XML Object properties and I see that I can use:
xmlObj.child (which) which A String, the element name, or a Number, a 0-based index into this node’s child array.
or
xmlObj.descendants ([name])
name Optional. A String, the element name to match. If not provided, matches all
elements.
or
xmlObj.elements (name);
name Optional. A String, the element name to match. If not provided, matches all
elements.
This is an excerpt of an XML I was working with:
<ROW xmlns="http://www.filemaker.com/fmpdsoresult"
MODID="16"
RECORDID="11128">
<Sign_Type>251.dr</Sign_Type>
<fm:Location xmlns:fm="http://www.filemaker.com/fmpdsoresult" xmlns="">5-5024</fm:Location>
<Line1>Zone

Xavier Elevators
Zone
Patient Rooms
R537 - 5757 odd
Main Elevators
Zone</Line1>
</ROW>
Extendscript will not give me an anything when I try to access elements by name. Instead I have to access by index, which works, but I'd rather search for names!
Actually the console log returns:
What am I doing wrong!?

First, those E4X XML objects are definitely no JSON (plain data) - they have a multitude of methods, even for tasks that would easily be implemented as property (e.g. the length() function), and they also bind xml element and attribute names onto the objects, allowing to target a multitude of XML nodes with a single statement. Or did you mean your script with that "it"?
Anyway, as you found out the ExtendScript XML object handles namespaces mostly by hiding them from you.
You could play around with global namespace settings, see the JavaScript tools guide.
You could also explicitly specify a namespace. This works for me:
$.writeln(myXML["fm:Location"]);
For simple use I had most success with a brute force approach that just strips the namespaces.
function removeAllNamespace(xml)

• How to access .asmx Web Service using JAVA? Newbie

Hello Experts,
Currently, I have a project where in I have to access a ,NET web service. It is made of C#. I just want to ask how will I start the accessing process? I made this simple equation on how my project is.
Java Project + C#.Net Web Service = Integration
1. Do i need to create a Web Service too for the Java Project? If yes, What are the necessary tools needed for the creation of this Java Web Service?
2. The .NET Web Service is available online. (It is made by other people).
3. Based on the equation, what is the equivalent technology for the + sign?
4. Can you site a concrete example for accessing a web service?
5. I'm new here. Totally I have no idea where to start.
6. Thank you experts.

Hello
Thanks a lot for your help ...
I am developing simple J2EE based web service client using IBM WSAD 5.1. I have used the following code to call .asmx web service in Java
String url = "http://www.w3schools.com/webservices/tempconvert.asmx?wsdl";
String namespace = "http://tempuri.org/";
name = request.getParameter("txtName");
try
System.out.println("In Internet Service");
ServiceFactory factory = ServiceFactory.newInstance();
Service serv = factory.createService(new URL(url),new QName(namespace,"TempConvert"));
System.out.println("Got Service......");
Call obj = (Call)serv.createCall();
System.out.println("Got Call......");
obj.setProperty(Call.ENCODINGSTYLE_URI_PROPERTY,"");
obj.setProperty(Call.OPERATION_STYLE_PROPERTY,"wrapped");
obj.setTargetEndpointAddress(url);
obj.setPortTypeName(new QName(namespace,"TempConvertSoap"));
obj.setOperationName(new QName(namespace,"FahrenheitToCelsius"));
obj.addParameter("param1",XMLType.XSD_STRING,String.class,ParameterMode.IN);
obj.setReturnType(XMLType.XSD_STRING);
System.out.println("Parameters Set.....");
Object[] params = new Object[]{name};
k = (String)obj.invoke(params);
System.out.println("Result: "+k);
catch(Exception e)
System.out.println("Exception is : "+e);
}But this code is throwing exception that
Invalid Address "http://www.w3schools.com/webservices/tempconvert.asmx?wsdl"I have also tried this URL with Java Proxy. But it showing the same error.
Plz can u tell me how to access .asmx web service ?
Waiting 4 reply.
