How to access profile value in java file
We have an FND profile named XXAB_SITE_DETERMINE_URL. how can I access the value of it in my java class?
Thanks for your help.
Assuming you are in iStore framework, you should be able to get the value using the following method which returns a string value of the profile.
String xxABUrl = IBEUtil.getProfile("XXAB_SITE_DETERMINE_URL");
good luck..

How to compile and run a .java file from another java program
hello,
can any one tell me how to compile and run a *.java* file from another java program which is not in same directory?Well a smarter way of implementing this is by using a solution provided by Java Itself.
If you are using J2SE 6.0+ there is an in built solution provided along with JDK itself and inorder to go ahead with solution the below are set of API which you;d be using it for compiling Java Programs (Files)
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/tools/package-summary.html
How do i do that ??
Check out the below articles which would help you of how to do that
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-jcomp/index.html
http://www.javabeat.net/javabeat/java6/articles/java_6_0_compiler_api_1.php
http://books.google.com/books?id=WVbpv8SQpkEC&pg=PA155&lpg=PA155&dq=%22javax+tools%22+compiling+java+file&source=web&ots=XOt0siYe-f&sig=HH27ovuwvJgklIf8omTykUmy-eM
Now once we are done with compilation.In order to run a Specific class all you ought to do is create an object and its specific methods of a specified class included in the CLASSPATH which you can manage it easily by usage little bit reflections.
Hope that might help :)

How can access stock value corresponding to an ItemCode and WarehouseCode ?
Hello everybody. Do you know how can access stock value (corresponding to OITW.StockValue) corresponding to an ItemCode and WarehouseCode in SAP BO 2005 using DI API objects ?
Thanks in advance,
TLBSHello,
you need to use the items Object of the DI
you need to first make a GetByKey on your item Code
this object has a child object called ItemWarehouseInfo,
using this object (it has several line, one by Warehouse), find the good Warehousecode, and look at the value InStock)

NashHi,
if it is the current row, use this.getCurrentRow().getAttr() where the attribute can be identified by the index or a String (its name). If you need to access aspecific non-current row, use getRowAtRangeIndex(int index)

To access context values in java util methods in webdynpro java
My requirement is to access the wdcontext values in the my util classes.
kindly suggest how to access the context value in my util class
Regards
PriyaThe context reference must be passed to the .java class in order to access same in the .java
for example,
Change MyUtil.java - get the reference to this file.
public class MyUtil {
//make a local variable of context element type.
private IPrivateCompView.IHashContextElement local_context;
//add context type in Constructor
public MyUtil (IPrivateCompView.IHashContextElement local_context, /*rest of params*/){
this.local_context = local_context;
//.... rest of initialization
In Webdynpro, initialize the call by passing the context reference.
IPrivateCompView.IHashContextElement hashmap = wdContext.currentHashContextElement();
//initialize my class
new MyUtil( hashmap, /*rest of params*/);

How to get return value from java and read by other application?
i want to read return value from java and the other application read it.
for example:
public class test_return {
test_return(){
public int check(){
return 1;
public static void main(String args[]){
new test_return().check();
}from that class i make as jar file. How to read the return value (1) by other application?
thx..If your installer is requiring some process it invokes to return a particular value on failure, then the installer is seriously broken. There are a bazillion commands your installer could invoke, and any of them could fail, which in turn could invalidate the entire install process, and any of them could return any value on failure. The only value that's consistent (in my experience) is that zero means success and non-zero means failure, with specific non-zero values being different in different programs.
About the only control you have over the JVM's exit code is that if your main method completes without throwing an exception, the JVM will have an exit code of 0, and if main throws an exception (either explicitly or by not catching one thrown from below), it will be non-zero. I'm not even sure if that's guaranteed, but I would guess that's the case.
EDIT: I'm kind of full of crap here. If you're writing the Java code, you can call System.exit(whatever). But nonetheless, if your installer requires certain exit codes from any app--java or otherwise--you have a problem.

How to pass ascii values in receiver file contentversion
Hi ,
How to define a ascii vlaues in file content conversion(eg ASCII13) in file reciver adapter.
Regards
Swathihi,
Special Characters in the FCC:
In all strings for separators (NameA.fieldSeparator, NameA.beginSeparator, and NameA.endSeparator), you can specify non-printable ASCII characters. These characters can each be inserted individually in the strings in the form ´0xHH´ (including the quotation marks), where HH represents the character coded as a hexadecimal value. A line break can be entered using the character ´nl´ (including the quotation marks); nl stands for new line. The special character ´0´ is not a separator character.
and
Specify the File Type of the document. : Binary/ Text
Under File Encoding, specify a code page.
The default setting is to use the system code page that is specific to the configuration of the installed operating system. The content of the message is then converted to the corresponding code page before the message is saved as a file.
You should use this conversion only for plain text and not for XML documents. If you want to change the encoding of an XML document, then select the File Type as Binary and apply XMLAnonymizerBean as an additional module in the Module tab page.
Permitted values for the code page are the existing charsets of the Java runtime. According to the SUN specification for the Java runtime, at least the following standard character sets must be supported:
US-ASCII
Seven-bit ASCII, also known as ISO646-US, or Basic Latin block of the Unicode character set
